The Saga continues.

We are now coming up to our fourth week. The original time span was 4 days.

The Plumbers spent most of last week correcting work done by the previous Plumbers who have now been fired.

We have a listed building. The heat pumps that have been put in are very ugly, and not what was originally intended. I have had to ask for a slatted cover to hide them

We have been without our Aga, our main source of cooking for two weeks now.

We woke up to cold water this morning - not for the first time.

The installation of our Battery went smoothly. Matt was great — suggesting a better, more discreet location for the battery and inverter and sharing plenty of tips. Tidy work and neat installation. Was also pleased to learn that we could charge via the existing solar installation without affecting the current FIT. Hoping to move on to the additional solar panel install soon (planning permitting).

On the whole a solid job.

Spoke with Mark about the initial quote, came up slightly high but after negotiating came up with a reasonable price.

Organised the technical survey and visit with Struan, all went well and came up with a plan.

The office organised a date for me. Didn't receive confirmation or ETAs couple days prior to work so had to chase up for these.

Arrived on site and had delays with deliveries, all resolved on the day. I'm glad I was on site to talk them through my preferences as could have ended not being what I wanted due to plans changing quickly once here. All work was done to a good standard, couple pieces I've sorted as am particular. Cable ties cut flush, so not sharp, and lagging cut using a jig, so just looks more finished. Also the heat pump was mounted slightly off parallel from the wall so just adjusted it slightly. Nothing major but all things that take no more effort to do as they're going.

Hand over was brief at best. I think having a designated person to talk through everything thoroughly is needed. Luckily I'm tech savvy so sorted everything myself and even resolved issues myself as couldn't come out for a few days.

I would use them again just little details and the hand over need adjusting to get the 5 star.

We had been considering solar panels, but well-judged advice from sales rep redirected us to a heat pump, which was a much better solution for our needs.
Exact system requirements were determined from a thorough heat loss survey conducted by the technical engineer, who answered all our questions clearly and directly.
Installation was set back while a plumbing issue was resolved, but customer service rescheduled with the same team after only a short delay. The installation team themselves made some crucial practical modifications to the plan, and their lead followed up to ensure everything was working safely.

A most satisfactory experience all round.

Everyone working at Greenwave are exceedingly helpful, responding instantly to any query, all the mechanics who worked at our house were respectful and a joy to have in our home, given installing pipes and radiators can feel very intrusive. Highly recommended.

Working with Greenwave Renewables was a pleasure. We had them install an air heat source pump for us to replace an oil boiler. The consultation and quoting was excellent and they didn't push us at all - no pressure sales. Surveys were smooth and they did all the work regarding certificates and grants. The quality of installation was excellent and the team took just over 3 days to complete the work to a really high standard. Only glitch at the end was a faulty controller so that required some investigation and a couple of extra visits to get sorted. Works perfectly now and we are so grateful to have this work complete and we don't have to deal with oil anymore!

I’m extremely surprised by some of the reviews here. We have had nothing but trouble with Greenwave. Missed deadlines, lack of communication, disorganisation, staffing issues, poor customer service and the heat pump system still doesn’t work properly after ~4 months, so the house is cold, the water is periodically cold and the cost is extortionate. They’ve been blaming set up, then configuration and now apparently it’s a manufacturer issue. We are on the verge of taking legal action - I now understand why heat pumps have such a poor reputation - it’s not the technology, it’s the installers.

Struan right from the beginning was excellent at getting back to us when we had questions. We had a few hiccups, which can happen and they tried hard to resolve those as quickly as they could. All the teams were friendly and professional. We are now getting to understand and use our heat pump source. We’re quite transfixed with the app, seeing the energy from the solar panels, battery then into the heat source pump! We hope that the good service we’ve had, will continue through to yearly servicing.

I recently had solar panels and batteries installed by Greenwave, and the whole experience has been excellent from start to finish. Every member of the team – from the roofers and scaffolders to the electricians – all were friendly, professional, and clearly took pride in their work.

A special mention goes to Struan the surveyor who carried out the initial consultation and the final handover and Kaitlyn in Operations who kept me updated throughout the process. Both were extremely knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and were a genuine pleasure to deal with.

I’m very happy with the installation and the service provided. and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Greenwave to anyone considering solar.

I was so impressed with Greenwave. Mark came out to do a survey for solar panels and discuss options.
He was not a pushy salemans and gave me honest and practical advise - ultimately that i would not get the return on solar panels due to the design and direction of my house.
It is so refeshing to deal with an honesr "salesman" and company who actually puts the customer ahead of the £.

We had Mark Harvey from Greenwave come to see us to talk about an air source heat pump. We were very impressed, he gave us a presentation, and answered all our questions. No hard sell, he told to ring him if we were interested, and he would come back. He came back to measure all the rooms, note the size of radiators, and give us a written report detailing the advantages and radiator changes.
We were happy to go ahead, and a few weeks later their team turned up and were very helpful with the installation.
We had El, at Greenways, as our contact, and she was very helpful with any queries and running the installation.
We would thoroughly recommend Greenways, and we are warm and happy with our heat pump.
Suffice to say we’ve just asked Mark to come back to give us the advantages of a Solar panel array. Again, no hard sell, and we are waiting for his report for the family to discuss.

I was totally sceptical about heat pumps but Mark Harvey the heat pump surveyor gave a excellent detailed explanation over a couple of hours and it made me a bit more positive, Ell and Kaitlin at the office were also extremely helpful. Have ordered a system but I am still not fully committed.

I mentioned I would leave a 2nd review after installation, however after reasons nothing to do with the heat pump change, we have had to cancel order for the time being.
Greenwave’s customer service was first class, with total understanding. We were credited back our deposit in a few days under their ‘cool off period’ with complete understanding and no hassles.
We hope to move forward and order a heat pump to replace our old boiler next year and this company will be our first choice.

Excellent install design and support to understand system fit for our home - it gave us the confidence to move ahead, and we are very pleased that we did. The process of securing the grant to save cost on our heat pump was also seamless and fully managed by Greenwave. Install was swift, but make sure to get enough time with the installers to run through the system operations once they are in. Overall, pleased we went with Greenwave.
