Worst customer service in history of customer service
I was trying to find a home a puppy we have. For starters, the breed name does not come up in search! He's a rare breed and the fact that the search comes up with nothing is just odd. I contacted "help" and they were no help. They acknowledged the problem but said my ad is live and there for as far as they are concerned, there is no problem and just left the chat. I tried again, and the next person says I've read over your ad and my colleague already said there is not problem even though you can't search the breed name, your ad is live and again just ended the chat. I tried a third time asking for an escalation and was told if i contact them again, they will ban my account! charming. So no surprise that I get next to no responses to my ad I get a pop up to renew, I follow the prompts and renew the ad, and 2 hours later my ad has been deleted. Why? nobody will tell me. apparently it was against their community guidelines I tried to ask about it but this time the AI will not put me through to a human and only available avenue is send us and email and i get a generics response of sorry too bad so sad but still no clue what is wrong. it's the same ad just the puppy's age has changed well because the puppy is older. There is no way to contact anyone and I put in a new ad copy pasted from the old ad at twice the renewal price and right about now I'm thinking the site isn't just full of scammers as everyone says, the whole site is a scam. It's an ad that can't be searched or renewed unless you buy a whole other ad. Never ever again. Don't waste your money go anywhere else except Gumtree.

For clarity, this concerns two separate issues: a search problem affecting my advertisement, and the advertisement being removed twice without a clear or consistent explanation.
I have already spent considerable time contacting support, received conflicting explanations, and been warned about repeated contact while trying to resolve these issues.
UPDATE
I hope that, following your invitation, this will now receive a proper investigation and a substantive response rather than another generic explanation of Gumtree's policies.

Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish. Third attempt to sell on this platform. Their AI is over zealous and scatter shots false positives that result in accounts being constantly flagged for no reason. Expect to spend at least the first week trying to get legitimate account reinstated. Customer support is nonexistent. Gumtree ils also serious spearphishing country - Gumtree will flag receiver if spam as well as the sender. Avoid like the plague.
Update: used eBay instead - I duplicated the same listings, same prices, and guess what? - no hassles. Go figure.
