Very professional!! We had lost hope finding our cat. He managed to find him about kilometer away. Highly recommend

Overall not too impressed with my experience, the admin were quick to respond to any emails and they were happy to explain the process to me when I asked so I felt relatively confident going forward with the service.

However.. Upon the day of the search for my beloved fur baby, I was rather unimpressed. I had the lead pet detective come out and I felt like a child that had done something wrong whenever I was spoken to, lots of "listen here" and "do you understand me/that". For people dealing with pet owners stricken with grief, I feel this is quite a cold way to speak to me and anyone else.

I, and many of my support group, feel there was inadequate evidence of searches taking place as we saw the detective in his car on numerous occasions. I was informed that a further search would take place as there were no successful sightings, but this would then be moved around and eventually cancelled. I am fully aware the detectives and all staff need breaks but please do not promise a further search if you are unable to actually deliver on this promise.

I was called on multiple different occasions and spoken down to, even when the detective had been informed I have been a cat owner my entire life.. I was told he wouldn't be far.. this was in fact false as when he was discovered by someone in the community he was almost 2 miles away. Luckily he is home, safe and healthy now but at almost £1500 for absolutely nothing.. all this service has done is upset me and hurt my bank account..

We had a cat go missing for 2 days and I contacted Robert he contacted me right back. You can tell that he really cares about animals and he helped get my cat back. I thought my cat was gone forever. Thanks to Roberts help. My cat is home and my family is very happy.

A month ago, my beloved cat Mouse went missing in London. I reached out to Happy Tails Detective and got in touch with Rob, the Senior Pet Detective. Rob was absolutely brilliant, he truly cared and used his personal time to give us assistance since he was busy on a different case in another part of the country.

During such a distressing time, Rob not only gave professional suggestions, but was there to comfort me and offer so much kindness. Using all the information I gave, he was able to give a search radius and when and where he thought was best to look.

I am very happy to say that as of yesterday evening (20th September), we found Mouse! She had been gone for over a month, plus we had moved house (she went missing the week before our move-out date). After putting up posters and canvassing in the suggested areas, a neighbour called to say they spotted a cat matching her description at our old flat. We got there as soon as we could, and as soon as we got back and called for her, she came running to us crying and happy to be back with us.

Thank you so much to Rob and the team for going above and beyond for us. The help we received was crucial to making our search as effective as possible, and it finally paid off! I highly recommend this service.

Our cat FeeBee was found this morning after 6 weeks on the run! Very hungry but very happy to be home! One of our wonderful neighbours found her in their garden and her husband ran to the nearest poster which Robert had put up and she rang me straightaway. FeeBee was only 10 minutes walk away or 0.7 miles! What has she been doing? I can’t thank Robert enough for all the support and encouragement he gave me. I’m on chemo for breast cancer at the moment so I can’t walk very far. I did some leafleting close by but Robert covered a much wider area. He gave me confidence she would come home because he did a search at night with infrared goggles and heat seeking equipment so knew she wasn’t dead. I’m just so happy. I hope that if you’ve lost a pet you’ll use Robert to find him/her. The service is worth every penny - I just wanted to do everything I could to find her. Thank you!

Robert came to our house and spent a whole day knocking on doors and giving us confidence and was clearly an expert in finding lost pets. He suggested that it was the most likely that she had got in a vehicle and gone…. And lo and behold a week later she turned up 25 miles away. I was so glad he came; he gave us excellent advice; made me feel better; went the extra mile; and was ultimately spot on. Would not hesitate to use again. Worth every penny. So happy to be back with my baby.

Rob came out to search for my missing Bella after she was missing for 4 days. Although he was not able to locate her on his search, he gave thorough instructions on where to keep looking. He even got his colleague to help out free of charge for an extra night. Luckily, I have found my Bella now, but Rob’s help was very much appreciated and needed.

Our cat went missing for 18 days. Myself and my wife scoured our estate and local community for days and decided we needed to call in a professional.

Rob was great from the start, from the first phone call you could tell how much he cares about his animals and customers. He arrived on the Friday and did a thorough search of the escape site, spoke with neighbours, checked bushes with cameras and went into neighbours gardens to search for our cat.

Once the searching was done, Rob gave us his expert opinion and advice on what had happened and where she could have possibly gone. From here his team and himself worked very hard to get to the bottom of what had truly happened.

After 18 excruciating days, our baby was returned to us. I can safely say that without Rob and his teams intervention we would not have got our cat back.

My wife and I will be eternally grateful for their hard work and we cannot thank them enough.

This man is arrogant and has no idea about cats. Do not waste your time or money or your hope. Paid £1270 for him to knock on a few doors. He invented stories about why he arrived hours late and just disappeared in his car with no photos or videos of what he was doing so we could be reassured he was searching. After complaining he and his admin team attacked me saying I was a disgrace to my pet and they have blocked me. I hadn't been abusive and said they hadn't done what they promised and I wanted a refund. Hate that they are exploiting vulnerable people who just want help with finding their pet. After emailing { no way to telephone} to complain was met with abusive replies, saying this review was libel and they would take it further which I explained was not as everything I said was true. Horrible company and exploiting peoples grief.

We can’t thank Robert enough for helping us find our cat, Neko. After searching ourselves for 6 days, we felt completely lost and were starting to lose hope.

Robert was incredibly professional from the start, he thoroughly investigated the area, spoke with neighbours, and carried out an extensive search. What made the real difference was that he managed to obtain security camera footage showing where our cat was, which was an area we never would have considered looking.

Our cat is very nervous, so we didn’t expect to recover him the same day, but having that footage gave us a clear direction. After sitting out for a few nights to try and get him back, we eventually set up a trap with some tuna, and within 4 hours, we had him safely back.

We’re so grateful for Robert’s expertise and dedication, he truly made all the difference. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Rob for his professionalism and good attitude. Our cat was missing for 5 days, and he found her in a neighbourhood. Without him, the outcome would have been pretty grim. Very grateful!

Good service - Robert gave advice on how to find my missing cat before he had a slot to come out, which was useful. When he came out, he conducted two local searches - night-time and day-time - checked the road for evidence of an RTA and ruled out the possibility of being trapped in sheds in the area. Despite a 24-hour search, he didn't locate my cat, but he kept in touch before and after the search, and his reassuring assistance helped focus (and justify!) my own ongoing search, with the result that I found the cat five weeks later more than half a mile away.

We hired the Happy Tails Pet Detective when our beloved Cat went missing on Saturday 9th May 2026. Having initiated our own search, Robert arrived after another case on Thursday and was able to conduct a thorough day, evening and night search across the local neighbourhood.

Using his expertise, Robert was able to narrow down likely locations for the Cat whilst eliminating other locations in the area.

Robert helped raise the profile of our search with the local neighbourhood and was able to talk to residents in a way which made them happy to assist with access to gardens and garages.

Unfortunately the Happy Tails Team were unsuccessful in the search however with the given advice and guidance, we actually managed to find our Cat approximately 0.3 miles away 13 days later!

This is certainly a high trust service which may not always yield a happy ending however we certainly benefitted from the help and might not have found our Cat without it.

My cat had been missing for 3 days and I just decided to put pet detective in google as we were completely lost on what more to do. I was super lucky he could come a few hours later and he found her within 10 minutes after taking all the details from us.
It’s not the outcome we wanted but it was closure. We had put leaflets through the door and walk past many times the house at which she was found. She had been hit by a car and we would have never found her as she was behind shrubs in a garden.
I cannot thank Rob enough… we can mourn now and he also came with me to the vets . I wouldn’t have known to go there and buried her in the garden but now we she will be cremated and myself and 2 sons will always have her close to us.

They were really accommodating of my circumstances and I really cared about helping me find my cat. Luckily he came home by himself before Robert could get to us so we didn’t end up using the search service. Robert has helped us in trying to find our missing cat. He contacted me immediately after receiving my message requesting help, within the hour we had a plan, when to come down, what the search would entail etc.. At a time when I was stressed and at a loss at what to do Robert brought a calm, methodical approach to try and help me. Robert was in contact while travelling the long distance to us, keeping me fully updated, he then conducted his search which had clearly been thoroughly planned, keeping me updated throughout. Unfortunately, we could no locate our cat, however we are in such an incredibly rural area, the chances are so slim. He also spoke with neighbours and searches local barns. Robert remained in contact and then kindly asked his colleague to come down again at night to try and find our cat with night vision kit, sadly this was also unsuccessful. Robert has stayed in contact daily, provides advice and reassuring support throughout. Whilst we have not found Samuel, we still keep trying with Robert's support and we are truly grateful and at times when, as an owner, you are so upset, Robert is someone that listens and genuinely tries to help.

Gosh where do I begin…. One of our beautiful Maincoon was stolen. From the beginning we knew someone had taken her. 10 days in to her being lost someone mentioned happy tails detective. I messaged late that evening and after only 10 minutes Robert had called me. Within 24 hour he drove from Liverpool to Reading to start the investigation.

Him and his team worked HOURS, DAYS, WEEKS on our case. They went above and beyond to help find Crystal.

Anytime I needed to speak with Robert he answer any message or questions I had about Crystal and the investigation. He was extremely empathetic ( but also realistic ) and so supportive. I feel like I own this team my heart for finding our baby!

3 weeks later she was found! If it wasn’t for you guys we probably would have never found her!

Robert was immediately very focused on finding my dog Bonnie. Upon meeting him it was clear he knew exactly what to do and what options to explore. He was also very communicative and always kept me updated on what was going on. The search for Bonnie was a success and I can categorically say that Bonnie would not have been returned without Robert. My experience with him was second to none and I’m eternally grateful.

We lost our little Olive in October and hired Robert Kenny a month afterwards from a facebook recommendation (I didn't know Pet detectives existed prior to that). His fee was lower than a lot of the others and his response time was incredible. He called me straight up to organise when he could come- arriving the next day on Sunday morning after driving all the way from up north. He was very kind and obviously loves animals. He searched all the surrounding areas and personally looked in my neighbours sheds and gardens (I think this is quite difficult to ask so having someone in uniform requesting access was super helpful). We didn't have any luck finding her and there were no sightings. He subsquently organised 2 night searches and has been in touch and checking in ever since with new ideas and tactics. I really believe he's trying to help and I can't express how helpful it is having him lead the search especially when I was feeling so overwhelmed and helpless. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you what to do and reassure you that you're doing everything you can. I would recommend this service to anyone in need. He's made a huge difference even though we haven't yet got her back.
