Best company ever
Best company ever. Resized my late grandmother’s wedding ring down 7 sizes for my upcoming wedding. It was no trouble - they did it quickly and at a very reasonable price. I was also super impressed with their communication. Hannah who served me initially was great, as were the guy I collected the ring from and the guy who called me with a communication update on the method the jeweller was using. Would recommend to everyone!

Highly professional work and service
I needed some specialised engraving carried out on an important piece of jewellery which held great sentimental value. On each occasion that I dealt with Hatton Garden Workshop, I was treated courteously and with a high degree of professionalism. Answers to any enquiries were responded to in a timely and clear manner.
I have now received my jewellery back and cannot praise their work highly enough. Every intricate detail of the engraving pattern has been captured meticulously and I could not be more satisfied. If anyone were to use their services, I am confident that they will be equally as delighted. Excellent work by and excellent company well deserving of 5 stars!

Over Rated Company With Over rate company with extortion price
My experience with Sophie.
The business was in better hands with either Scot or the delightful lady who is on maternity leave. They understood customers service far better than the money-hungry lady currently in the office. This lady who sits in the office is solely focused on making money. I have decided to never use this company again for anything. The price they quoted for a small ring is outrageous compared to what I paid for the same ring on the same day previously. It feels like they are operating as skilled thieves. She lacks any kind of skills.

You called requesting us to repeat the service we provided to you a year ago but were unwilling to provide the necessary information to locate the details on our system.
Having listened to your call this morning, Hannah, who you spoke to, (not Sophie, as per your review) was courteous and helpful throughout and repeatedly tried to assist you.
I have now located your order details on our system, albeit under a different name to that you provided. Had you given Hannah the correct name or the reference number associated to your order, she could have explained to you that your request today was for a different service than you previously had, and would have happily matched the price that you previously received last year.

much higher charge for the same work than other shop
In March I used Hatton Garden Workshop to replace a broken tiny 2mm 9ct gold jump ring on my necklace and they charged £35. In August I brought another identical necklace with the same issue to them and they tried to charge me for £100. When I showed them the invoice from last visit, they changed the quote back to £35…… Hatton Garden Workshop also tried to charge £95 for simply clean & polish one gold ring and they asked for an additional £100 for same day service so £195 for that simple work! I used another shop in the same area and they cleaned & polished my rings for £35 each and they gave discount and the work was completed within 15 minutes……

Hi Dan, following on from your updated review, I am sorry to hear you weren't happy with the pricing of the replacement jump ring for your necklace. Having checked with my colleague you saw, they had priced the replacement according to our current price list and while they had undercharged for the original work, I am pleased they reduced the cost to the original amount you paid, as this was clearly not your fault. Our ring cleaning options are currently £35 for a quick clean and polish, or £95 for a full service; which is the quote you were given. If the options weren't properly explained to you, my apologies. The £35 clean and polish can usually be completed on the same day, but due to the length of time it takes for the full service this is usually a 3-5 day service. We do offer an increased cost, same day option on a number of our services, which reflects the fact that one of the goldsmiths will need to halt the job they are currently working on to start it immediately.
Thank you again for your feedback. We are reviewing our price list regularly and always trying to ensure we offer the best possible service, quality of work and value for money, and have recently reduced the prices for a number of services where we have been able to, and will continue to do so wherever possible.

I popped in off the street to ask about some repair work for two rings. Very friendly staff and there was no pressure once given the quotes. Very pleased with the restored rings and also enjoyed visiting the workshop. No hesitation in recommending thank you to everyone.

Engagement ring resizing
Took my engagement ring to be resized as my fiancé purchased a few sizes too big! They were really helpful when I was selecting the size to go down to as I was torn between two sizes. The ring was ready for collection in a couple of days and the quality of workmanship is superb! No evidence of any alteration. They also gave me pointers for how to look after my ring as it is so delicate. I also got to see the diamond certification under the microscopic lens which was fascinating. Fortunately this place was local to work but I booked here without hesitation due to the excellent reviews I saw online, and I am delighted with the result.
