RE: Jack Robson, Heritage VW, Salisbury
it was my great fortune, or maybe an angel caught my prayer that day. I stumbled into Salisbury Volkswagen sweating and shaking. My research into Motability suggested my ideal car was a Citroen Berlingo. I had engaged with Citroen several times, but, their total absence of any modicum of customer service had frightened me. I left Citroen with a prayer to find NOT the best vehicle, but a human being I could trust to sell me the correct car for my own needs.
The sparkle, shine and smiles inside Salisbury Volkwagen reassured me instantly. My support animal lay down at Jack Robson’s desk. She was provided with a bowl of water while Jack introduced himself. I had three cups of filtered water to hydrate and then a really good coffee. I shared my troubles and was met with gentle empathy - a honed professional approach based on genuine compassion. This allowed me to feel safe and supported in this momentous life-changing experience.
By the time I sat in the car, I had relaxed. I shut the car door and felt secure with the sound, feel and smell of a new car. It felt safe and right It felt sturdy. The height was perfect. The lumbar support was superb. The steering wheel is a perfect size and a joy to handle. Jack Robson had heard my needs from his point of view. I fell in love with the car. Jack checked stock, colours, shapes, prices. I did not think then that colour could be relevant!
Did I dare to have the audacity to avail of this wholly privileged opportunity? Jack spoke slowly, clearly and without guile. I had a menopausal hot flush realising it was possible for me to own this dream car.
The Motability online application form is possibly the most user friendly system available. I had already filed my details. Jack was impressed with this and said it would speed up the process. Again, this reassured me at put me at ease. I felt comfortable and determined by now. I was dreaming of where I could go. I shared with Jack that I had been house bound for a year.
‘Will this help your health?’ Jack asked. And I so very nearly wept and disclosed everything. We completed paperwork. He checked colours. He showed me various colour tile samples. Oh, how I laughed at the surreal yet perfectly appropriate task.
Less than one month later, Jack found my car and had it delivered to Salisbury VolksWagen showroom. He draped it for a big reveal.
When Jack revealed my new car my life transformed. Of course he drove it first, and showed me everything. He sync-ed my phone to my car. Jack programmed the radio to my favourite station. He gave me a charging cable, showed me the charging mat. How did he realise my mobile phone is my lifeline? That courtesy compelled me to begin thanking him profusely and unapologetically emotionally. He drove me around town on my request, beautifully pointing out my hesitancies, failings, faults. Then handed the car over to me.
One day later and I cannot help but fixate my eyes on the gorgeous fabulous shiny brand new bluey-green shining starship. My support dog and I drove to the Wiltshire countryside this morning, for a walk in Nature.
Yes, Jack, this car is mental health recovery, it is physiotherapy, it is no more cabin fever. It is a gift from angels. My deepest gratitide and appreciation for Salisbury VolksWagen and your truly outstanding customer service. Any chance you could give lessons to Citroen?
Just purchased second A1 from Audi in Salisbury and served by Sam Lewis who was excellent as always. Sam has now sold two A1’s to me and another to my son. My latest 25 plated A1 is a delight to drive and Sam made the sale seamless. Thanks Sam.
AVOID CHELTENHAM AUDI AT ALL COSTS.
Sales- although we got a test drive we never heard from them again - so disinterested that they can’t be bothered to sell you a £60k car! Bought the car we wanted unseen from Derby Audi who were brilliant and delivered the car.
Service- tried again with Cheltenham Audi. I booked in my service months in advance and they sold me a service plan. The week before I checked the booking and they had no record. Waited 30 minutes to speak on hold to the service manager to no avail.
Gave them several chances and to cap it off I have had to rewrite this review because they got trustpilot to remove it because I named the service manager and I sent him a copy of my review by email. Looking at the 2 star rating in trustpilot I’m not the only one who has found them useless.
So I brought a new Q3 and the sales team were fantastic. They bent over backwards to help.
However the car had a habit of resetting it memory everything I turn the ignition off.
I spoke with the sales team and was told they would need the car for 2 days to sort the problem out. I told them I would need a like for like loan car. They told me it would be 4 weeks before a loan car would be available. They also suggested that a factory rest might solve the problem so I did this 4 times while I wait for the car to go in for repairm
So the car goes in hor the two day repair
And I got a text after three hours saying they had sorted ot out they had done a software update and carried out a factory reset on the car. So it should be fine after telling the women their I had done a factory rest 4 times she just shrugged her shoulder a said that was all the would do at this point.
Once I got home I found the Audi front dash cam was missing, So phoned Audi to be told they would look into it. 10 days later I am still waiting to here from them. The reason I am waiting and not chasing is that I found it on the floor in the back of the car.
Needless to say I will not be buying from them again.
They have been taken over again by a company I've never heard of and blame their poor performance on a fire at another workshop in Swindon. I suspect staff are disgruntled and feel under valued. I changed my car and now own a Mercedes from Gloucester dealership and they are so much better.
I recently travelled over 80 miles to Heritage Audi in Cheltenham with a view to purchasing a Audi TT Roadster. The sales person I dealt with prior to and at the actual visit was Katie Watterson who was fantastic, Katie went above and beyond to ensure that all my questions and needs were met and she made the whole process a pleasure, therefore I would highly recommend Heritage Audi to all my family and friends where they are sure to receive a 5 star experience.
Went to buy a new car, but had the misfortune to meet the most useless, unhelpful and disinterested salesman I have ever encountered. He grudgingly said he would arrange a test drive but never did and then didn't return my phone call when I tried to find out why he had not contacted me.
Fortunately, I then went to Tetbury Audi, where the salesman couldn't have been more helpful. Two hours later I had test driven the car I wanted, the deal was done and the car was ordered.
Great car, I've had four from here, but aftersales and communication regarding servicing is shockingly poor. Once the car is in the workshop the work is satisfactory, but you have to chase to get things done and a call back is almost unknown
Put my TT in for some warranty repair work before it was due to run out, thorough video report with the normal sales patter of new tyres, new pads, windscreen wipers etc etc & they gave me an itemised estimate of the work. After a phone call it was agreed that all I wanted was the warranty work to be done which I duly booked in. All the staff were attentive & friendly & was kept in the loop via text of the stage the car was at, all very good. Had one minor issue which I had to follow up the following day & was dealt with so quickly I was actually shocked that the after sales manager emailed me on his day off apologising & telling me he would sort on his return work, 100% to his word he did this followed up with an e-mail was well, very professional & would certainly recommend anyone to use them for professional servicing. Thank you
Don’t buy used from here!
Bought a 68 plate TT in July, turned up to drive it away and trade mine in.. it had a broken passenger seat, 2 very scuffed alloys (for which they had the cheek to try to sell me alloy insurance for when already damaged!) it had the previous owners finance agreement in the glove box, chips in paintwork and to top it off it broke down 2 months after I bought because it was out of coolant! Yet the coolant was one of the tick boxes on their checklist! What did they actually do besides wash it and put it on the forecourt???!! The finance bloke told me it had been serviced a couple years of weeks before I purchased the car, turns out this was the supposed inspection! Not the service you expect from an Audi dealership!
Called in by Audi Cheltenham for an oil service and MOT. My MOT wasn't due for another 5 months, despite me telling them this and emailing they still expected to MOT my car when I turned up. No oil change carried out just a cabin filter. Then told I had a nail in the front o/s tyre. After taking it to a tyre specialist, no nail, perfectly OK, cost £20. Incompetent and not a prestigious brand dealership. Last time they see me.
I recently purchased a new Q3 Sportback from Heritage in Salisbury. The service from start to finish from Maisy was second to none. Their PX price was also better than other dealerships (Poole Audi and Mons Motors) I'd approached. I recommend them without hesitation ! Thanks.
Absolute awful company. Terrible Sales staff and after service. They was supposed to investigate and fix a noise issue i reported during test drive. On collection they assured me it was fixed. In fact they didn't even test drive or look at it. Complained, they couldn't care less once they got your money. Told to refer to motor ombudsman. Been waiting 6 months. Since then multiple faults with car. So much more i can say, but i would simply stay away before you regret it. Look at all the other reviews and see for yourself.
My car needs fixing tried getting in contact via phone and the live chat feature on the website and was ignored for over a hour, I already made my mind up at that point I was not going to use these for my repairs but thought I'd change my requirements to now wanting to buy a car funny enough someone got into contact with me within 2mins.
Poor impression just seems they only care for sales.
Extremely poor customer service. I placed the order and paid my full deposit to Cheltenham Audi to pickup my car. Jamie longfield was the sales rep that oversaw the sale and unfortunately the car was not delivered on the day, I was told work needed to be done to fix the MMi unit. A revised date was provided for the 3 weeks later..and again I was told the car will not be ready on the day of the delivery. Poor communication throughout this process. Managed to get my deposit in full after speaking to the management team.
I used this Audi dealership for servicing and repairs over a five year period. It’s best avoided unless you’re under warranty or want to trade in. When I’ve taken it in for small repairs, they try to up-sell a load of work that’s not required. They are very expensive when it comes to diagnostics. And a relatively simple switch replacement that was conducted elsewhere for £220, Heritage Audi in Cheltenham were, firstly unable to diagnose the problem, then said it was a clutch sensor issue (which it wasn’t) sent me a video of my car tyres trying to sell me new ones, and then providing me with a quote of nearly £5000, including £504 to investigate and replace things that were incidentally working fine and are still working fine. Their whole purpose is to get customers to buy new cars. So if that’s what you’re after, feel free to use them. If you want your car repaired, go to an Audi servicing specialist elsewhere where you’ll find they’ll almost certainly do a better job for a fraction of the price.
Recently purchased a Q5 from this dealership - the two sales staff I dealt with were excellent. Didn’t encounter any problems.
However, trying to get a refund for an item which was missing from the car proved to be hard work. It eventually took a month to get the refund - after many e.mail reminders. I wasn’t happy with this service and asked for some kind if explanation - this apparently was passed on to a manager over a month ago - surprise…. no response! Give up!!
Heritage Audi - Cheltenham
Had to update this review following recent experiences with Cheltenham Audi.
Pre-sale: fantastic service, can't fault these guys; they know how to get you to part with your money!
Post-sale: they couldn't care less. Never return calls, don't get back to you when they say they will, completely indifferent attitude.
Without going into too much detail, an issue I had took 12 weeks to sort out and in that time I had to chase via 13 phone calls and 3 emails - not a single phone call came from Heritage Audi nor did they reply to any of my emails!
Anyway, hopefully anyone thinking of doing business with Heritage Audi in Cheltenham - be aware! See Google reviews; there's a few other people who have said the same thing.
