Quality has changed - Turkey Sausage
Just cut open the turkey sausage and right away you can see the difference between last year and this year. No longer fies it look like sausage it's more compressed meat or pate looking. The taste is similar to the old sausage but it's softer and squishy?. Haven't tried the ham or beef stick yet but now I'm dreading it. The cheese balls were still good tho .
It is "edible"
It is edible, but not good at all, you would do better (price and taste wise) by buying just a half lb of meat and cheese from your grocery deli.
The packaging is very misleading, showing a thick box when the cheeses are about 1/4 of an inch thick, but the gap behind the box is like 1-2 inches. The mustard that came with it is ok, but you could get better again by purchasing anything else at the store.
I thought of Hickory Farms as more of a semi-luxury brand or at least a better brand, but I would prefer eating leftover fast food from someone's trash. The "cheese" if you can call it that, not only was super small in size, but tasted terribly awful.
The summer sausage is bad for summer sausage, but along with the mustard, was the only ok part.
I said it was edible, as in safe to eat, but not remotely worth the time to eat. I hate wasting food, and this is one of the few things I ended up throwing away parts of.
Now I know HF as a trash brand, not even a bargain brand. Seriously, ~$20 for a charcuterie spread that can be beaten by any other food from most restaurants, and still getting less food.
The giant air gaps alone should be a legal issue, but the quality control really really surprised me with how bad it is.

Very disappointed in this companies complete lack of customer service. Right on their site it boasts 100% customer satisfaction regarding refunds. My daughter gave us a very expensive very large (1.81kg) gift box. We are u able to eat this and I explained the issue to them to be told there are no refunds. This, this is completely false advertising. They are a horrible company and I will never, ever deal with them again. Not that they give a crap about anyone but I will over and over again urge everyone to deal literally anywhere else. I originally called the 800 # then called the store. I waited for over 5 days of not even getting a call back but when I went to get the ,coal store number again it turns out it’s temporarily closed. That’s awesome. Hope they get pulled out of here permanently and actually have to close down…wishful thinking.
85% air 15% crackers in the boxes
For the price of the entire box you'd think you would get more crackers, of all things to cheap out on. Disappointed.
What a disappointment
What a disappointment. We were given the sweet and savory gift box for Christmas and it looked really impressive- three boxes all tied up with ribbon. Then we opened it up. Each box was 85% packaging of shredded cardboard. The box of truffles and the box of crackers were so light it was hard to tell there was anything in them. There were four tiny truffles and 10 and a half crackers. The mustard is quite nice but to be honest the rest of it all tastes very processed. Never again.

Hickory Farms Gift Box — Complete Disappointment
This is not a gift box — it’s misleading and feels like a scam. About 80% of the box is filled with cardboard shreds, which went straight into the trash. I did not pay for garbage and packing filler.
The actual product boxes are tiny and almost empty, and even those are not fully filled. The box only looks big because it is sold sealed, so the customer cannot see how much empty space is inside.
This was a complete waste of money. I bought garbage, not a gift. The excessive filler is clearly used to create a false impression of value. I am extremely disappointed and will never purchase Hickory Farms again.

The once loved flavors of Hickory Farms beef sticks taste like processed crap! Got a basket for a gift and the meat and cheeses were horrible! Highly unlikely I would buy or send as a gift.

Summer Sausages
Something must have changed with the beef and turkey summer sausages. We ordered 3 of them and had to throw them all out. They tasted awful! We also sent 6 orders to friends and relatives for Christmas. Now we’re embarrassed because they’re so bad. Will never order from Hickory farms again.

Customer Service is not available...everything goes to voicemail. This is not acceptable when you need to get ahold of a person to change a shipping address that somehow got defaulted to the senders address.
Stinking Crab Legs at room temperature and NO service
Note that this is for Hickory Farms dot NET which sells perishable meat and seafook. Their King Crab Legs 4lb. was deivered to me on 5/16 in a totally spoiled, stink to high heaven no ice, room temperature container. I now believe this is some sort of scam as I immediately took photos and emailed them and request for a refund. NO phone # was available and I had no response by Monday and emailed their only customer service address again which has no hickory farms in the address. No response again. On Tuesday I tried again on their CHAT app where no one was attending but promised a return response...again with no response.
My credit card was billed to some company in Las Vegas ...again not Hickory Farms. My credit card company would not reverse the charge and I have no where else to turn. I bought these crab legs based on a full page ad in the NY Post pre mothers day so thought it must be legit. From the time they created a UPS label
on 5/7 it took till 5/14 till they handed UPS the package and 2 more days till delivery. You cannot imagine how this package stunk...and how they disappeared on me though the site is still up and running. My decades of hickory farms.com products are fine...but someone is ruining their good name on the dot net site. BEWARE!
Ordered 4 LBs of King Crab legs for…
Ordered 4 LBs of King Crab legs for Mother’s Day. Showed up a week late. The internal IGLOO “cooler” was open and the legs were swimming in warm water. The entire package STUNK. No idea how long they were unrefrigerated and/or spoiled. Threw them out.
The companies not respond to emails. No phone contact.
Now disputing the charges with my credit card.

terrible experience
terrible experience. ordered 2 gifts on 4/19 for 5/9 delivery (early for 5/11 mother's day gift). one was delivered on mother's day, 5/11 and one is still not delivered on 5/12 and not expected until 5/13 - 2 days after mother's day. their only solution was to call fedex to have the yet undelivered package rescinded and will send me a refund once they get it back - so ridiculous - will not be getting my business again...

The items in the basket are “trial size” not full size products. The baskets I purchased were 50 dollar baskets, and I was embarrassed when I saw the actual basket and the very small items contained within. The products are tasty, but the baskets were no where near worth the price charged.
Horrible Service
I ordered items on 12/16 (well before the Christmas cutoff order date of 12/18). The items were shipped on 12/16. As of 12/26 they still were not delivered. I called and was basically told "sorry, not sorry", you have two options: wait it out for "whenever" it will arrive or get a refund. I opted for the refund. There are multiple reasons why I'm giving only a one-star rating. The cavalier attitude was a bit unsettling. And there wasn't even an offer of a discount on a future order. My original order has discounts applied to it as well as free shipping. To reorder the same items today would cost me $10+, plus more of my time. I even contacted the company a second time to express my dissatisfaction with how everything was handled. Their response? Absolutely nothing! Overall, multiple EXTREMELY disappointing encounters with everyone at Hickory Farms.

The amount of shrinkflation from these greedy corpo's is beyond ridiculous. They raised the price more than double and are delivering less than half. DO NOT give them your money.
