After reading all the bad reviews I won't even attempt to purchase from them. They appear to be the ultimate cowboy outfit

The first time I requested a part from this lot they said they would get back to me? 5 weeks on and nothing?
Stupidly, I tried them again recently to enquire about another part and they said they would call me back. I explained to the customer service agent on the line what happened previously and she promised it wouldn't happen again and that I would definitely receive a call? Two days have passed and nothing 🤬😤
Disgraceful and unprofessional business. Never will I use them again or recommend 🤬😤

Unfortunately, they are now selling perishable tyres. We paid to have a used tyre fitted at £60. Only months later, our MOT failed because of this tyre.

It became apparent it was very dated stock, over 7 years old. The tyre perished around the wall. We have never had an experience like this. I visited Hills, and eventually spoke with the site manager. An apology was given, along with assurances that stock will be checked more effectively. To add, that he would speak with their fitters.

We are absolutely appalled that we have had our children in the car on several occasions with such a risk. It appears Hills are using a new work model to salvage a greener agender with too much of a risk to customers.

Dreadful experience today with intended purchase & fitting of a car tyre. I have used Hills (apparently now rebranded as ‘Green Car Parts’), and have had quite positive experiences of purchasing the tyre at the desk, and equally of the actual fitting. A young red headed guy that has carried out the fittings previously was nothing but polite and helpful. Today I encountered the polar opposite. A grey haired arrogant male was doing the fittings. He is painfully slow at the task. I witnessed him first of all making cocky and somewhat insulting remarks to the man on the sales desk, which he shouldn’t be doing in front of customers. I was waiting behind another customer having 2 tyres fitted. The fitter took 50 mins to complete that task, which is excessive. The sales desk guy had told me to drive my car straight into the fitting bay as soon as the current customer moved theirs out - I got in my car ready to do this, only for the fitter to chain-off the bay, and proceed to go about doing a general tidy up of his workshop area … sweeping the floor, moving tyres and other equipment around etc. When I challenged him about this, and how long I had already been waiting he was really rude and arrogant, using a cocky tone as he spoke and insisting he had good reason to do the tidying for ‘safety reasons’. I mentioned that I had never experienced anything like this on numerous previous visits for tyres, to which he responded “well if you don’t like it go somewhere else”. I immediately went back to the sales desk and demanded a refund. I will not be returning there again, not for tyres or any other parts - that tyre fitter should be sacked, he’s an absolute disgrace and is most certainly damaging the company’s brand.

Phoned in the morning to see if they had 2 tyres, part worns for my car, they had 2 with 8mm! Goodyears too. Stipulated that I only had half an hour for my lunch and if they can help me out, called around at 12pm, 2 of their tyre lads jumped on it like a pit crew and had me away within 25 minutes, awesome lads and services. Thanks.

Good company to deal with. Did exactly what they said they would - collected the vehicle from Scotland, driver of transporter friendly & efficient, no hassle at all.
Communication faultless. Stuck to quote despite not having seen the vehicle.
Only quibble is that the quote stated payment would be made at time of collection when in fact it was made about 72 hours after. Otherwise I would have given them a five star rating.

Worst company I've ever dealt with communication is none existent...

Tried using the online parts portal on 2 separate occasions and had no reply both times , I used the contact form via email to ask why this was and guess what ? No reply. I won’t try again , and I’ll take my business elsewhere for sure.

Got to disagree with the comment from lou re Sue. She answered my call very polite and professional. The scottish accent is different to hear than our usual lads from the pool. I did ask if she could check stock availability straight away for me but she explained politely that she was only a call handler and took details for the professional sales team to assess and get back to me. She did say it would be easier for an email address or text to get back to me. I was well impressed as I got a text arrive through under the hour and proceeded to purchase my headlight with ease. When I called back to arrange, it was Sue I got again who was extremely helpful once more. The part has arrived and i cannot fault Hills on their service. Definitely would use again, even just to hear Sue and her cheery manor.

The counter staff are great, friendly, and always super helpful. However, if you phone for parts and need an urgent answer and you get Susan, not so helpful. I needed a tyre and if available, could only go to get it fitted that same day. After an unhelpful call with Susan where she refused to check stock while I waited, I rang back and spoke to a young man who was very helpful, he checked stock and gave an immediate answer to my tyre query. Unfortunately it was out of stock. I received a message from Susan the following day, telling me it was OOS. (I wouldn’t have been able to get it fitted on thst day anyway) Calling back later that week I got Susan again, who again wasn’t helpful at all and refused to check stock while I was on the line and said I would have wait for a message. I declined to wait for a message in favour of ringing other suppliers. I like to go to Hills for tyres, so I ended up driving there on my lunch break, rather than ringing around, where the counterstaff were very helpful and reserved a tyre for me to be fitted next week. An unneccessary journey if Susan would just check the stock while you wait.

I was winning a bid for a Vehicle and they ended up closing the auction and archieving the car while the reservs were met aswell!. Ashamed

Exploiting con artists. Disgusting exploitation with their hands in the pockets of insurance brokers. Expecting 45% more than any other scrap dealer. Con artists

Very helpful ordered and paid for a Tiguan engine from Hills Motors set a delivery date, only to discover that the day before the delivery date they rang me to tell me it could not be processed, their system was down , so asked for a refund, whereas the person who was dealing with me reassured me he'll refund me, three working days later all sorted a full refund! many thanks that man very helpful 👍

A ring them a bought a car and they never described a back door damaged and not took close pictures a newer thought looking it looked ok but it's my first time purchasing the car and a rung some person in the office said car is good it's only front wing and bottom wheel arce as its shows in pictures but its was a back door aswell well and they said it's got 2 keys on description it's not mentioned but a ring up to check everything on car and wen a purchase they said no it's only 1 key now a paid a cant do everything but a bought it home and thought better check everything like miles and wat damaged it might show on hpi and a just checked it it's got outstanding finance on car am not happy now a will not be able to sleep until a dont speak to them a paid them over 1500 hundred in they fees now its got outstanding finance

Absolutely garbage 🗑 I purchased a "salvage car" from these clowns and it was supposedly a category N. But once the vehicle was delivered it was so clear to see it should have been scrapped by them. Total rust bucket! Now I have to scrap it myself & have lost out on £550 pounds money I can not afford to lose. Horrible experience.

Ordered a bumper from this place paid on Wednesday the 9 of march a week later still waiting supposed to be next day delivery must have sent these people about 20 emais finally got a reply it will be there Tuesday the 15 of march ETA 8.45 the van driver. Supposedly had an on the way so now it is going to be delivered on the 16 of march

Owing to a set of tiny, but consecutive technical and communication issues (my end and out of full control of Hill's) I was completely unaware of how much the Hill's team went above and beyond to get the part I needed to me- faster than expected, and delivered to a safe space when I was not available to receive it- which I am exceptionally grateful for.

I ordered a door for my 2011 car, it arrived the very next day, amazing. Could not have asked for better support.
