If you are looking for things to run smoothly and on time then find another company to carry out your surveys, this company are not interested in meeting deadlines or looking after customers, the staff obviously don't enjoy working there or have any pride in providing a good service. My survey was carried out on 06/08 and I still haven't received the report, keep getting told you should receive the report today or they will look into it and call you back which they don't.
Already questioning how accurate the report will be based on their performance so far.
Is it expecting too much for a company to do what they say they will and within the time frame agreed?

Your survey is only as good as the surveyor they subcontract the work out to. This means you are actually arranging a survey with someone who you don't know and can't check beforehand. I needed to speak to my surveyor about the report but couldn't get hold of him. I left messages on his mobile but he didn't respond. Turns out he is on holiday and it will be 2 weeks before I can speak to him - why not leave a message on his answering machine saying that? There are some things on the report that need further discussion and he has made what I believe to be a mistake in the final valuation for insurance - valuing it at £100000 more than anything in the area.

Would give a minus rating if possible!
Payment taken but no survey provided despite several hours of chasing.
Company now ignores my calls which end up going through to mobile phone voicemail.
Avoid, unless you like headaches and stress!!!

Report of survey was supposed to be with me with 6 working days; it took 14 days at a time when urgency is important. I had to chase the report up 3 or 4 times. If the delays were unavoidable, the company should have taken it on themselves to notify me - not leave me having to contact them. Poor customer service.

I was also advised that no money would be taken from my credit card until the date of the survey. It was taken 7 days before!

The report itself seem OK.

Surveyor called at wrong time and therefore failed survey due to non access. Your Survey Ltd were very unhelpful.

This is from the seller perspective. The surveyor came to the property to inspect it. As requested I left the keys in the doors and asked him to ensure he closed the doors behind him as we have pets and they cannot go outside (recently sprayed weed killer around grounds). Next thing I know one of the pets had escaped and was roaming around the sprayed area, not a great start - luckily he’s okay. After he left I went round the house closing doors he had left open (garage doors etc). No apology that he let the pet escape either.

The following day, I want to take my securely stored car out, as I approach the vehicle I note white paint from the door it was next to against the vehicle, I never use this door and the only person with access was the surveyor.

Needless to say after confronting the company and finding the details of the surveyor to resolve this, a week later they reply that they don’t want to make it right and suggest I or someone in my household caused the damage. This is my pride and joy, if I caused the damage I would be honest enough to admit it, which is more than can be said for this outfit.

I believe our buyers are yet to receive the report but if this performance is anything to go by, I don’t hold any conifdence in their service.

Cannot be more disappointed. Why didn't I read the reviews first. Buying a property that is currently being let out.
Survey was arranged and paid for prior to being conducted.
Received a phonecall the evening of survey day. Office call handler told me surveyor had been to property and denied access and that he didn't want to waste anymore of his own time going back. I apologised and was told I would receive a refund but that the company would not send out another surveyor. I was cut off.
I called my estate agent in the morning to discuss what had happened and was informed that the real story was actually completely different.
The surveyor had visited the wrong address and obviously been denied access When he called the agent the agent offered to meet him at the correct property a matter of minutes later.
The agent informed the surveyor that the tenant was in and had been waiting for his arrival. At this point the surveyor turned around and said 'had I known this was a tenanted property I wouldn't even have bothered coming here'!!
Shocking lack of competence, stay well away. Spend the extra £50-100 and do this properly!

Amazing company to deal with! I needed a homebuyers report and it was dealt with professionally by the company and returned to myself in a timely manner. The staff were all professional from start to finish and helped put me at ease with my confusion about what was needed, all steps of the process were explained and made understandable. Prices are very reasonable, overall fantastic company and will definitely recommend to others to use. Thank you.

The one star is because I can't give any less! Absolute shambles of a company. Survey was booked for the 14 Nov, I even had a confirmation email. When I hadn't received the report a week later I rang to query why to be told the survey hadn't been done but was booked for the following day. I was assured because of the mistake I would be sent an urgent report. Not sure what they class as urgent but I'm still waiting 5 days later. After daily phone calls and being told you will receive it today I can now only assume they are all a bunch of liars. Definitely do not use this company, they are the cheapest for a reason!

I have just requested a refund. On the 2nd October I paid for a building survey for a property I am purchasing then sent two emails the following week asking for updates having heard nothing and I 'phoned them today, Friday, 13th October to be told the survey had not been ordered but they were sorry and it would be arranged and carried out on Monday 16th Oct. The vendor subsequently contacted me saying the surveyor was not very helpful and could not carry out the survey until the 25th and then only give a four hour time slot when it might be done not a specific time!
So now I am back where I started and have to find someone else. Not happy. Your Survey didn't even ask why I was cancelling.

Do Not Use For God Sake..Dont wast moneyThis is just a quotation company not actually surveyor. Kind of Agency. When you booke the job will pass to different surveyor for which you dont have any history or you will be not given any information about. Once you got the survey report and they will done. They dont take any responsibility and will ask us to contact surveyor. The surveyor i have been given has not evan landline number. I tried mobile and guess in voice mail. The surveyor asked me to send email all the queries...which is not possible for me as i wanted to discuss on phone. ...not any reply yet..
