I had a water filter system installed and have had nothing but trouble right from the start. I am not very impressed at all , I was told it would cut down the chlorine build up, but this is still happening. When the filter was put into my tank it was a very poor job and they had to send someone else out to fix it. The filter bowls keep getting major fractures at the bottom and cause major leaking. Tried getting hrv back out fix, but the cost is so expensive. I have again just got another Crack in the bowl , my plumber is looking at doing the job now and is very disappointed in the workmanship that has gone into the installation of this system. I feel I was sucked into purchase this. Have had problems since installation

Purchased a house with existing HRV system. Interestingly, soon after purchase we received notice from HRV that the system needed a service. ( detail was sent to house address and addressed to ourselves personally as new owners... HRV are quick at getting their claws in). Was a Gen1 system and service proved unacceptable. Long and short of it... we deleted the HRV monitoring electronic box and converted the system to a simple on/off switch. Much better at controlling when and if we need air from the roof space. Filter is now replaced personally. EVERYTHING quoted from HRV was expensive and interesting to note that after 3rd contact by HRV to get a service check they have given up. IF YOU REALLY THINK THESE SYSTEMS ARE WORTH INVESTING IN, READ

Worst company ever. Nothing but problems dealing with them 2 years ago when we had a water filtration system installed and it flooded our new home causing damage to personal belongings. Fought with them for months to get a reimbursement for the damage. It then took them over 6 months to provide an invoice and credit note for us to pay the account despite our repeated request that we wouldn’t pay on statements they sent out. Now we are up for a replacement filter and no one will come back to us as apparently they have no record of us in their system. I would absolutely recommend that people look to alternative companies before engaging this useless outfit. I can’t believe they are still in business.

After the first time changing the air filter the system started pumping dust from the roof into the house causing chest pain and eye irritation. Had it checked and filter replaced 3 times and it still does it. They don't respond and no support and now they no longer sell the air sense so assuming it's actually faulty but no help. Don't buy one!! Avoid this company at all costs. After reading further it seems this product is faulty. It's a plastic box and the filter is inserted on slide rails that warp with the extreme heat in the roof space which gets above 50 degrees in the summer. Obviously plastic can't handle high heat, stupid design.

Our System needed a replacement fan. HRV used some quite honestly deceptive language to try to tell us that was not possible and the only solution was a $2,500 replacement.

This included telling us the "electrical specifications" had changed. Obviously this is not a thing.

A quick search online and bought the OEM fan from EBM Papst and installed it.

$250 vs 1000% markup from a HRV.

Not impressed and wouldn't trust anything they say.

After a terrible start with trying to organise a repair by phone, taking 4 days and many calls to get an appointment we finally had a great result. Our technician Villi was so friendly, polite and knowledgeable on product and very efficient. He needed to take parts away for repair and intern he and his Team Leader Max spent their lunch break to fix the problem so Villi later that afternoon came back to fix the unit. I am very thankful to both men for going the extra mile and getting us up and running again.

Asked them to come out and fit new diffusers in a house we had just bought (old ones had gone yellow) and check why system wasn't working. They came out and discovered previous owner had taken the fan. Left without fitting the diffusers we asked for and charged $120 for the privilege. When we called to ask why they hadn't done what we asked they said they decided they would fit them when they came back to fit a new fan at a cost of $4000 something we did not want them to do. Aesthetically we wanted the diffusers replaced but were not bothered about replacing the fan just curious about what was going on and if it was a simple fix we might do it.

Amazing people installed our HRV system and did an excellent job. We had one installed in our previous home and really loved it so decided to get one for our recently purchased Town House. We love the fresh air it brings into our home, no condensation and it helps keep our home drier and warm. Great decision we made.

Awesome company to deal with. My old unit was no longer working so the technician sent all details to my Insurance company not once but three times. When I finally got the claim done HRV Taranaki were quickly on the job to get replacement system sorted. I can’t thank them enough for the brilliant service.

We have never regretted having our HRV system installed in our house. Even with double glazing we used to get condensation on our window sills in cooler weather. As soon as HRV was operating there was absolutely none! Even when the house has been locked up for a few weeks it always smells fresh and clean. The service people are always prompt and efficient with a professional appearance.

Excellent communication and customer service. Quick install and I could see the results within a day with improved home ventilation. The system delivers what is promised.

I had my HRV system installed a week ago, and I can already notice a significant difference. There's no more condensation, and the air feels much fresher and cleaner throughout the house.

The service was excellent from start to finish, with clear communication every step of the way. The installers were professional, efficient, and did a great job. I would definitely recommend HRV to anyone considering improving the air quality in their home.

Great product. It did exactly what we needed. Got rid of the condensation and mould in our house. Very happy with the results!

Aftermarket support is terrible, been waiting 4+weeks for any form of contact after requesting a filter change/service at least 3x times via different channels. After contacting sales person I was assured I would receive a call back that day....it's been 2 weeks....

Twice booked a filter change both times confirmed but nobody turned up and no communication from the company. Won't use again

We had two Lossnay systems installed in August last year based on the salesperson’s recommendation. What we specifically wanted was a system that would remove condensation and mould without making the house cold. Unfortunately, that is not what we got.

Instead, the system made our bedrooms freezing cold while doing nothing to remove the condensation. We couldn’t even keep it running because it was unbearable.

It is now May the following year and only now has an agreement finally been made to remove the units. Throughout this entire process, communication and service have been terrible. We would book technicians to come out and inspect the units, and they simply would not show up. The only time we consistently heard from the company was when they wanted payment. Each time, we explained that we were not paying until the problem was resolved.

After months of going back and forth, we were eventually told that due to changes within the company, our case had essentially been missed and there had been no proper follow-up.

In February, managers came to meet with us and apologised for the poor service. They admitted the system sold to us was not suitable for what we wanted in the first place and assured us they would “look after us” because of all the hassle and lack of support.

Apparently “looking after us” meant expecting us to pay the $4,000+ already owed for the unsuitable Lossnay system and then spend another $10,000 on a different system that would actually do the job we originally asked for. Obviously, we said no.

The only reason anything is finally being done is because we withheld payment after the system failed to perform as promised. If we had paid upfront, I honestly believe we would never have heard from them again.

Would not recommend this company. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE.

Mike, the installer did a really good job of meeting my requirements on where the unit was to be placed in the ceiling cavity, answering my questions and explaining to me how the controller worked.

We had an HRV system installed and initially were very happy with the workmanship — the install was neat, tidy, and professionally done.

However, when winter arrived, our windows were still heavily covered in condensation. We contacted HRV and had a technician return multiple times. Each time we were assured it was simply a settings issue, yet the problem was never resolved.

They later installed an additional summer vent, but the following winter there was still significant condensation on the windows.

Prior to purchase, I specifically asked the sales representative whether our roof pitch was suitable and whether there would be enough heat in the ceiling cavity for the system to function effectively. I was assured that it was. It has since become clear that our roof does not have sufficient pitch or retained heat for the system to work as intended, meaning the unit was unlikely to ever perform properly in our home.

The after-sales support was extremely disappointing. A manager attended our home and, rather than constructively resolving the issue, I felt pressured to withdraw my complaint. I was asked to propose a refund amount and it was implied that because we were renovating, we “could use the money.” The interaction left me feeling very uncomfortable.

We did not ask for any compensation in the end. There was an offer of a full refund if the unit was removed; however, this would have left us with large holes in a freshly painted ceiling, creating further cost and disruption.

Overall, this was not a good experience. For the premium price paid, the system has not delivered the promised results, and the follow-up service has been poor. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this system and would instead consider alternative ventilation options
