What do you call somebody that takes money out your account without your authorisation or knowledge ? . These do !!!!! I cancelled my oppointment due to hives’s , I gave 3 days notice . Then they charged me £39.25. For not giving enough notice. What if you’re sick ??? . So with the £15 consultation I’m £55. Out of pocket . Discusting and there acting all entitled . Fraud . I did not sign a contract or subscription , nor was I informed of any cancellation costs. No wonder the salon is closed 90% of the week , they just charge you without doing anything. After contacting my bank I’ve logged a complaint to reverse the payment . Dam cheek !!!!!!!!

I booked in a appointment for a patch…

I booked in a appointment for a patch test and hair strand test, few weeks went by and no reply, at my appointment i mentioned i have a close family wedding to attend, i called in on my way home from work the lady apologise for the late reply she said the system is down so we are behind our schedule, She said someone will get back to you soon,Another three weeks later i called and spoke to someone and she Apologise and said I will get back to you later this afternoon, Lady did not get back to me,She called me the next day and apologised again.she said we will not be able to touch you hair as it’s in really bad condition, but can offer other treatments, well it took 6/7 week for them to reply, few days later i had my hair colour and the lady said my hair is in good condition.i really believe my hair is in good condition as i take a lot of care. i’m just annoyed as i was told they are really good hairdressers.

I had my haircut for the first time a…

I had my haircut for the first time a few weeks ago by a senior stylist and I payed £57.00. I have a pixie style haircut. When I booked the appointment on their website, I wrote I had a bad experience in the past with a hairdresser cutting my hair uneavenly. When I arrived at JamesB I had a chat with the senior stylist who was going to cut my hair about how bad my last hair cut was. He looked and could see my hair was uneaven in places. He reasured me he will cut it and I would be happy with the cut. I returned home and felt through my hair. I noticed a thicker chunk of hair on one side of my head than the other. On further examining my hair I could feel shorter bits of hair in places and thicker bits in others which were uneaven on each side. I tried calling the salon the next day but no one ever seemed to answer the phone. I went back to the salon to be told I would have to rebook for the week after which I did. I went back and the stylist admitted he could see the thicker bit on one side and it felt shorter in some places and longer in other places. He cut my hair again to try to correct his mistakes. I went home and examined my hair and I found one longer strand of my hair hanging from my fringe and I could still feel mistakes through my hair. I again had to return to the salon as again no-one answered the phone. When I went back to the salon I was told the manger will ring me as he was not working that day. I soon as Ieft the salon I got a phone call from a lady who said she works at the salon. I explained everything to her. She asked me to email the reasons I was not not happy and to send some pictures of my hair and they will refund me. Bearing in mind by this time I had not much hair left! She rang me back around 10mins later to say the manager has asked I go to the salon the next day so he can have a look at my hair. I went back for the third time. I showed him what I was not happy with. I must say he was the rudist aragent argumentative salon manager I have ever come across. From the get go he refused to admit, even though I asked him to run his hands through my hair so he can feel the mistakes, my hair was uneaven in places and I found one longer single strand of hair hanging from my fringe. He refused to give me a refund and said I can go back there in 4 weeks and he will correct my haircut, meaning my hair was too short to cut and I would have to go around with an uneaven bad hair cut for 4 weeks. I told him I will not be returning to his salon ever again and I walked out. He continued to shout abuse at me as I crossed the road. I ignored him. I would not recommend anyone visiting the salon!!

My New Client Consultation with Dan

My New Client Consultation with Dan. I was welcomed with beautifully presented Coffee, I had to take a photo lol. (I have numerous Mental Heath Conditions, Agoraphobia being a prominent one of them. Along side various physical disabilities e.g Fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis & Essential Tremor to name a few). Dan straight away made me feel at ease, I felt welcomed, important. He sounded like he was excited about what he had in mind/ideas of colours to go with blonde. I left feeling looking forward as to what was to come & felt reassured that I will be totally looked after by the whole team.

You get what you pay for....JamesB is worth it.

I like to visit a venue several times before I leave a review.
I prefer to have several experiences of a service to ensure my reviews are fair and a true reflection of what a person might expect when going for a treatment.
I have now been to the JamesB saloon in Bedminster about 6 times and have had my hair cut by various members of staff.
I have found that all the staff are friendly and welcoming without being in your face and automated.
It isn’t the cheapest salon in Bedminster but you do get what you pay for.
Quality products and care to get your hair just right. I am getting the best cut ever at JamesB.
I have never felt rushed during my appointment nor sat in silence and then gone home and cried after a visit here ( and we know it happens).
Post lockdown : I wasn’t sure what to expect and was nervous about my visit.
Within moments I felt relaxed. All govt guidelines being adhered to, which is very testing for the staff, however still a happy friendly atmosphere.
Would I recommend?—-highly.

Terrible service - avoid

This salon made a mistake with my hair colour the week before my wedding - mistakes do happen, but the way they responded when I asked to pay a reduced price so that I could get my colour fixed elsewhere was heartless. Absolutely no understanding, just wanted as much money from me as they could take - plus they take your card details at booking, so you have no control over how much they decide to charge you. I would avoid.

Disgraceful

Disgraceful and unprofessional place. They looked up my friends personal details and publicly attacked her online- body and personality shaming her over an opinion she made.
Their haircuts are uneven but to attack someone personally for the true but calm comment? What sort of business behaves in this manner?
