Dreadful croissants. Tasteless and doughy. No flakiness.

Been buying these for years (Jus-Rol Medium Vol Au Vent Pastry x18)
Never again, you cannot get any filling in them as they have suffered that much shrink inflation, that they have become totally pointless.
Such a shame we just had to throw them all away.

Tried this twice recently and results were disappointing both times. Made some small apple pies and baked recommended time (20 mins at 200deg C)and they came out rock hard! I thought I'd give it another try at Christmas and made some mince pies. I reduced the baking time to 15 mins at 180 degC and the pastry was leathery and chewy. Nothing at all like shop-bought gluten free puff pastry products which were fine.

I used to enjoy using Jusrol's pastry block. It was convenient and the pastry was crispy and tasted good. It now tastes like limp cardboard. Truly awful and so disappointing. Look at the ingredients! A horror story. Will not be buying again.

I keep giving this pastry a chance but it really is rubbish. The recipe has been changed by removing the fat. There is no butter in this product and without that the pastry is definitely cardboard in texture, not short at all. Won't be buying this anymore. Either make mown from now on or buy the more expensive products where the butter is still part of pastry recipe!!

Utter rubbish product. Not fit for purpose.

i buy alot of vol au vent cases for parties i do but cutting of the centre leaves a lot of them not fit for purpose when cooked.very dissapointed with the amount i can't use.

Why on earth has the new recipe changed and why are we messily completing the job.. adding separate ingredients taking up more space in the box, thus saving money all around presumably?

These used to be ok value (they were usually on offer) but now the swirls are an utter mess. Not a fan.

Christmas sausage rolls well below standard. Pastry very hard to work with - seems overworked before packing. When cooked, pastry needed chewing!
Tried again today and was disappointed with result - no improvement!
Have to say that everyone in the past thoroughly enjoyed my sausage rolls but all good things come to an end. 😥

Re new Jus-Rol Cinnamon Roll Kit.

What a way to make life harder for disabled/less able bodied individuals.

I, myself (36F), have an autoimmune disease called Psoriatic Arthritis.
Those of us with limited dexterity, pain and inflammation struggle enough without companies modifying their products making them harder to prepare.

Having enjoyed Jus-Rol products namely Cinnamon Rolls, Pain Au Chocolat and Croissants for years, I am saddened and frankly disgusted by your company’s recent decision.

What on earth possessed you to turn your Cinnamon Rolls from an easy and convenient product to a full on, awkward to prepare DIY kit.
The only prep previously required was a knife and an oven tray. The white icing, simple.
Now it’s an utter mess. I tried preparing them in ‘the new way’ but due to limited mobility I simply couldn’t manage.
Prior to this disease taking hold I was a keen baker but sadly had to stop. Thank you for reminding me that I’m useless.

That being said it is comforting to see others critique your updated Kit. It would appear that I am NOT the only person frustrated by your recent decisions.
Safe to say, I shall find alternatives until your common sense returns.

Opened ready rolled puff pastry well in date covered in mould. I will not be buing again. I would give zero stars if I could.

If I could give no stars I would! Cinnamon roll - Awful taste and terrible change.. why! They were a lot better before the change in recipe.

I bought just roll short crust pastry block. As I was rolling it I noticed several hard white lumps of fat. Clearly not incorporated into the pastry adequately. Fortunately I pulled them out. Surly the fat should be incorporated into a breadcrumbs consistency, before adding fluid. I won't be buying it again. I used 2 packs and both were the same.

Pastry was in date by 2 weeks but was moldy. It was purchased on day was using. Left contact details for them to reply but a random company contacted me 2 days later requesting bank details, address etc. I don't trust having another company having my details when can't see any connection. I found a number to check with jus-rol but just get an automatic message saying to use online contact. Nothing has been resolved and no way to check how companies could be connected.

I bought the ready to roll croissants for Christmas morning - big mistake! I made sure the product was well in date, but as I opened the cardboard tube the dough literally exploded out. I wasn't sure if this was meant to happen, so I cooked the croissants anyway. Only when I came across a youtube demo with well-behaved dough did I realise that the product had been faulty. Customer services have been polite but useless - ignoring my query about health concerns re fermenting pastry and (unbelievably these days) asking for all my bank details to compensate!!! I will not buy again.

The new cinnamon swirls are a complete disaster. Loads more plastic in packaging. The cinnamon taste is minimal. The dough is tight and dense….they could have been in oven for 25 minutes and they wouldn’t have cooked properly. My boy used to adore these, now he doesn’t want me to buy them.

Purchased the Pain au chocolat roll and they were more than disappointing. Awful taste, very salty. And even when you follow the cooking instructions they turn out nothing like they advertise. The pastry is not as it should be and tastes almost uncooked in the middle. Was a previous purchaser of these and they were fine, but not anymore. Not sure what’s happened. Certainly no longer recommend these.

Awful, I won't be buying jusrol cinnamon swirls again. Tasteless, messy and the extra added plastic.

Dont know why changed recipe, its awful now. Used to buy every week, WONT BE BUYING AGAIN.
