My family bought 4 of the Kampa Dometic XL High Back Chair. 2 of them broke fairly quickly, other 2 took a bit longer. All in all, expected these chairs to last years, but alas despite weighing in reasonably less than the recommended weights, we are looking at replacing them in under a year.

What a piece of rubbish, 1st use ever rain starts there are so many leaks, everything needs to be put it the caravan because there are no dry places in the awning, we sit inside with all our stuff watching rain pouring through every piece of the awning. Its going back, so dissatisfied all that money we would not have got any wetter sitting in the rain without the awning. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Less than one year old. RH roof panel leaking. Not at the seams but through fabric. LH roof panel is fine so unlikely to be the "condensation issue" as many other people report.

Purchased a kampa air awning pro 330 only used a few times although I’ve had it 3 years always rained in phoned up we’re I bought it glossop caravans wasn’t cheap. They sent me a spray to reproof the ceiling did it twice. Took it out last week completely ruined our holiday rained in saturated everything can’t get any help of anyone

I bought a Kampa Air 260 for My caravan in 2019 used it twice will not stop leaking even with a spray provided by the dealer, waist of money don't buy one

We bought a new kampa air awning and were looking forward to using it. We used it 12 times according to manufacturers instructions. Some of our trips were short and we had the awning for 2years. In July 2020 we returned to our site to find it had exploded on the main beam and had shredded the outside awning. The people on the site said that it was like the sound of gunshot. We then spent the last 2 weeks with no awning.
We contacted Kampa via the dealer and they want nothing to do with us. Their only comment was that it was out of guarantee and there was signs of fading due to UV. We have only camped in Britain and we have had some sunshine but probably more rain than sun! We looked on a Kampa website where they explained that the guarantee does not cover UV damage. They even describe how it would be preferable to choose a shadier pitch!!
You can imagine how bad we feel as we have looked after this awning despite its real heavy weight and the fact that in the morning everything was soaked with condensation dripping of the inflated beams.
We do not know what to do now. Spending £1000 for twelve outings is not acceptable to us. We do need an awning but which one to buy? Perhaps it is back to a pole awning? We feel we couldnt trust another air awning especially a Kampa one. We could have had our grandchildren in the awning at the time.
As for UV fading. Doesn’t everything fade? Come on Kampa....get your act together. We have now learnt about other Kampa awnings exploding just like ours but Kampa is not acknowledging this.

I've had my Kampa Rally Air Pro for 3 years... I've no idea how I've persevered with it. Put anything in the awning and it gets soaking wet. The roof bounces down with anything over a force 4 (15mph wind) so don't put furniture in it, and don't stand in it or you will get hurt. The end doors split at the bottom because of too few eyelets. I also bought a bedroom extension which gave the same problems (beds soaked through and kids being knocked over the head when windy. Kampa were unhelpful when I complained in the first year. Even with the new range of awnings and new management, I will not spend my money on their products again. Avoid!

I bought the Kampa 30 ltr thermo cooler from Winfields, the cooler makes so much noise that it has to be turned off at night so we can sleep.
Returned it to Winfields to be told its working correctly and would not take back as not a manufacturers fault.

Avoid this model if you don't have somewhere to lock it out of the way at night

Kampa pop air pro 260 awning for an Eriba Puck caravan.
This product is NOT fit for purpose. Condensation is so excessive ,we thought it had rained during the night.
Pools of water on camping chairs in the awning .
All seems along the air tubes were dripping water.
Inner tent roof in the annexe was saturated .
There appears to be a serious design fault ....Take note Kampa!

I bought a kampa air awning 2 years ago. Put it up after 3 months it faded .phoned kampa they said it was because it's a touring awning .fair comment so bought a kampa air 400 all season .1400 quid and a year later this one faded to .What a rip off and a pile of crap .honestly I don't see how companies get away with taking advantage of people and saying there a great product .there should be a warning put on these products saying .don't buy if u wanna keep it more than a year. Won't ever use kampa again .needs closing down

We bought a brand new kampa air awning in 2017 watch every video and read every instruction book. The first year we used it no problem (but it didn't rain) stored it correctly over winter. The second year it leaked I put it down to a very heavy storm so expected condensation. We are now in the third year and we might as well sit out in the rain, everything absolutely soaked thru. Three years old and been used no more than 15 times. Shocking!!

Kampa 390 Pro. Completely and utterly useless. Leaks and unfit for purpose. Bought the roof liner, which should be renamed as a water trap. Waste of money and extremely disappointing. 😡😡😡😡 can’t select no star

Really liked the tent even though it leaked a little from the roof. After two years the tent exploded and warranty will not cover it. If your expected to buy a new tent every two years, Kampa is an exspensive solution.

Roof tube blow out splitting the roof canvas within the 2 year warranty and the company are not interested in covering the warranty or allowing even a credit note towards purchase of another awning from them. Good to see that customer satisfaction is so high on their list of priorities in their business. Be warned they are quick to take your monies but write off the awning to being sun scorched roof damage. But surely that's what the awning is for to use out in the sun while camping.
This didn't just happen to us but also to a very good friends of ours the same problem, so now 2 awnings to the local tip, both within warranty.
Be warned be careful where and who with you spend your hard earned monies.

Bought a Kampa ACE Air Pro 300, 2019 model, which just after a few times of use in a single season, breaks down.
KAMPA is somewhat wildly advertised, as it is in fact some expensive crap.
Never buy KAMPA, as there are better and much more durable awnings, at significantly lower prices!
KAMPA should be ashamed!

Bought a Kampa Air 390 plus in 2019 started leaking after 2 outings Kampa told us it was mouldy so wouldn't repair it.
What a waste of £1100

I got a new air pro 40, our my caravan is 30 foot long, we put the awning up 15 months ago so been through summer and all winter. We live on a permanent site, I can honestly say that we have had some real bad storms in that time yet it has never let us down.

I was a bit worried to start with, but would now recommend the air awning to anyone, most people on our site can't belive how well it has stood up to the elements when other awning have been lost due to storms.

I would never go back to an old style awning (NEVER) It lost some colour on the outside 'but you would expect that anyway.

I have the Rally 390 air pole awning , and from new it has been a problem. I had to replace two air poles , even now one of them leaks at the inflation valve .
Kampa have a non existent support network for help and for spares . Dometic have now taken it over , good luck to Dometic ?
Anybody thinking of buying one ? Don't !!
Not surprising that a large number are being sold second hand . Save your money and buy and aluminium pole awning instead !!
Had enough of this poorly engineered waste of £850 !!
Had more problems with the air poles leaking since the last review, bladder pipes to valves split on two air poles , constant issues with leaking compression joints to valves . Difficulty in getting spares , the bladders are £80 a piece !! Scandalous for an inner tube !! In the three years I have used it I have had three bladders , no more bladders for me !!
Just ordered an aluminium poled awning .

Leaks leaks leaks.... It's out of warranty so claimed under Consumer Rights Act. Company I purchased from says I am welcome to claim but I would have to prove a fault was present at the time of purchase or I could return it for inspection by the manufacturer but I would have to foot all the costs. Obviously Kampa will claim that it’s condensation. Well if it is it is I would hate to see it leaking! I have lost all confidence in this Air Pro awning. It has been a complete waste of money and it’s very difficult to get any type of compensation. Note that Kampa only give a 1 year warranty whilst most other awning manufacturers give a minimum of 2 years...perhaps they haven’t got confidence in their product...my advice... don’t buy a Kampa awning.
