I had a problem with logging into my keyholding account, my password was incorrect and needed resetting and my old phone struggled. Muhammad U in the service specialist department was extremely patient and helpful and all sorted and much appreciated. Thank you also to the finance department for sorting out my invoices.

On the rare occasion that our alarm went off when we were uncontactable, The Keyholding Company merely sent us an automated voice message saying it had gone off (which the alarm company does anyway). They did not attend or attempt to contact us further (which was the whole point of having them as keyholders!). They were extremely expensive for very little/no service. We finally cancelled our contract with them as we sold our property and they had the audacity to charge us £7.20 to mail back our house keys despite having been a member for well over 15 years. Despite still being in contact they wouldn’t deliver them to us. They have pursued the £7.20 invoice with voracity (it has been paid). It was the most attention we have received from them in years. We have an extremely sour taste from our association.

Following an issue with communications regarding our scheduled security provision, Gary was able to rectify my concerns promptly.

This is a dangerously unfit provider that should not be trusted with any aspect of security. In reality, it’s just a call centre that subcontracts your requests to third-party providers with no oversight or consistency.
I am terminating this “service” after encountering multiple issues within the first 14 days.
Jobs were regularly mishandled.
Just a few examples of many:
1. A confirmed 5pm appointment for a property survey was followed by a subcontractor calling to ask if he could come at 1pm instead — and then questioning my refusal.
2. A cancelled job, confirmed in writing, was still added to the invoice, and their third-party provider was never informed.
3. Written complaints go unanswered.
4. A keyholding job confirmed for 9am was never processed. After chasing, I was falsely promised the keyholder would arrive by 9:25am — he turned up at 10:10am.
5. Multiple jobs were booked by an operator without my request. These were discovered only by chance, and when questioned, the operator was unable to explain the reason.
Operator training is clearly minimal, and I often doubt they even read emails before responding.
Everything above can be confirmed by written correspondence, but the company interested only in marketing their services rather than ensuring their quality.
This company should not be SIA-approved or certified as a security service provider. Avoid at all costs.

We have used the Keyholding Company for over a decade and they have always been efficient and easy to work with, and have got us out of many an unwanted trip to London! Would recommend.

We can't fault the service we get from The Keyholding Company. They are always really responsive to our requirements which are usually last minute. Their online portal makes ordering service support really efficient and their controllers and client services team are always professional and courteous. A really valued partner

This company simply costs too much. They just put the price up to over £40 a month simply for holding my key. I have been with them for many many years and called them out a few times. They do a thorough job when they get to the property but they never arrive within a decent time span. And they charge you c.£80+ for each call out (couldn't they include, maybe, one free call out per year in the subscription?). They also don't reward you with lower subscription charges for not calling them out. I suggested this by email when they notified me of another price rise but never got a reply. The final straw was when I cancelled my subscription to be informed that to return my keys there is a £6 + VAT administration and postage fee (not to mention the 30 days notice you have to give)--when I am paying £40 a month for the administration of holding a key. Astonishing! If I were you I would think about having good relations with your neighbours and using them as keyholders.

I recently took out a new Domestic Keyholding and Alarm Response contract with the Keyholding Company. The customer service so far has been excellent - I've had to contact their helpdesk several times to arrange or reschedule appointments and provide my contact details and everyone I've dealt with so far has been extremely helpful, including Isabela who answered an email from me this morning.
