worst banking experience. People who think of opening an krungsri account should reconsider due to their unreasonable system maintenances for almost everyday at 12am till the morning. Also they got longest loadings on everything, transfer, check balance, everything loads really long.

It is not fair to the customer that you close the system every day at 24.00 and for hours. We cannot Scan or pay bills when needed. EVERY DAY!

I have just encountered an astonishing issue with Krungsri Bank - forget about being over 70yr and using their App. Now they are forcing everyone on to the App with the closure of their on-line web based site this October. They almost think it funny when I was told you will have to use a cheque book to make payments! Try that on 7-11 or elsewhere! Frankly this is insane and badly thought through.

I think all people visiting Thailand, and wanting to open a bank account should know that anyone over the age of 70 are unable to access the QR code payment system. The Thai government seems to think anyone over the age of 70 is liable to be scammmed by being given QR access. This has recently proved to be extremely frustrating for me as I was recently refused access to the QR system by Krungsri Kasikorn Bank with whom I have had an account since 2011---and paid their bank charges every month ever since , even though there have been long periods when I was not in Thailand, my account remained active and open with a constant credit balance.
Many people may well not realise that now a vast quantity of retailers now prefer the use of QR payments using a mobile phone instead of a debit/credit card. This has meant that it is far more necessary to carry quite substantial amounts of cash in my wallet now as the vast majority of the retailers won't accept a debit/credit card payment anymore. It appears the government or banks think they have improved security for the elderly (both Thai and foreigners) However, they have not, because carrying quite a lot of cash is something the whole world has been striving to change for a long time now, and Thailand has now turned this card payment system on it's head. For clarification, bigger stores,garages, supermarkets etc seem happy to take a debit or credit card (foreign or Thai) but there is now a vast number of smaller retailers out there who will only accept cash or the QR code. Be warned, particularly if you are over 70 and have not used the banking apps/QR code before reaching the (young!!) age of 70. For me, extremely frustrating and annoying and there appears to be no exceptions, even if you are of perfectly sound mind and abilities.
I personally think this is "Age discrimination" of this compesmentise age group. I am certainly not aware of this system being used by Uk, European or US banks.
