Cheaper then others, but in more ways than one
Shocking customer service. I spoke to guys called "SYED". If this company records it's calls, and if they have any doubt about my experience, I give you permission to publish the call online. It would be good training for your team and other people in terms of HOW NOT TO DO customer service.
All I needed was a simple answer, like "we respond customer enquiries with x days/hours". Instead, he was all defensive and aggressive. I am pleading you to publish the call recording if you have any doubt.
One simple answer would have turned a 5 minutes call into a 30 second call.
So, the story is they sent me a faulty part which cost about £310. I called Friday and spoke to SYED at LCD4LAPTOP. He may be the business owner, because I would be shocked if I would put someone like that on the phones. I know they also sell on eBay. Anyway, so after my call on Friday, I spent more time testing the part, and now I was 110% sure it was faulty. I even got another person to look at it. So, I sent an email on Friday. The thing is most PROFESSIONAL businesses have an acknowledgment or a ticketing system. The email I sent was not acknowledged and no ticket was created. I don't even know if they received it. Anyway, I phoned to follow up on that email. His response is we have customers before you. Yes, I get that, so does every other business. All you had to say is "we have received your email, and we will respond to your enquiries after x hours/days." I used to train people in customer service, so I was trying to be helpful, and I told him this is what he should be saying to me...
I was going to return this one and buy another from them. But now all I want is refund. The thing is they were not arguing against a refund (14 day period) so it should have been an easy to call for them. So, I cannot understand the attitude. PLEASE PLAY THE CALL.
Anyway, no empathy, no apology, but pure arrogance.
I do take SOME OF THE BLAME, because I chose them because they were the cheapest. Based on the other reviews here, and the fact they still exist with this level of customer service, it means there is a lesson here for me and all the other people who decide on some purchases purely on price.
