I signed up for Lend a Brick expecting a simple and transparent LEGO rental service, but my experience has been deeply disappointing from start to finish.
First, their marketing is misleading. They advertise monthly plans starting at £9.99/£14.99, but they hide the fact that access to popular or larger sets requires staying subscribed for months or upgrading to an extortionate "VIP" tier costing nearly £90/month, on top of extra postage fees.
Second, the quality control is non-existent. Out of just three sets I ordered, my latest delivery arrived with a severely damaged outer package, parts that were visibly dirty (especially the wheels on a Technic set), and multiple missing pieces that made it impossible to complete the build.
To make matters worse, after I cancelled my subscription due to these issues, they still charged me an extra £15 monthly fee. When confronted, instead of taking responsibility for sending a defective, incomplete set, they blamed automated billing systems and challenged my feedback.
I have returned the set and cancelled my account. I strongly advise looking at other, more transparent LEGO rental options in the UK. Extremely poor service.
