This company has been conducting soft searches on me without my request or consent. Be cautious, as they seem suspicious. I have no idea what they do or sell, yet they have repeatedly attempted soft searches, despite me never engaging with them.

Shameful and misleading practices. I was verbally sold a one-year contract, and was told I could choose whether or not to renew. When I received a renewal paperwork, I gave notice and was told I was required to cancel 90 days in advance to avoid automatic renewal. Not at all what the sales person told me on the phone when I signed up, they hid it in the small print and it seems they rely on this practice to 'steal'money from unsuspecting customers. Oh, plus a 15% increase in price too! Shambles of an organisation, stay clear!

They do not inform you about renewal; they put a clause in your terms and then force you to renew. AVOID AT ALL COST!

I must express, unequivocally, my profound disappointment with LexisNexis. I have found their conduct to be reprehensible. The approach to contract renewals could, quite frankly, be described as sharp practice.

The renewal clause is, quite frankly, obscured in fine print, while the front page of the contract clearly states that the term is for one year. Issuing the renewal notice 60 days prior to renewal effectively eliminates any opportunity to exit the contract. This strategy, in my view, is deliberately designed to make LexisNexis contracts "evergreen" by stealth, which is utterly unacceptable to our company.

The notion that LexisNexis considers its approach to business in this regard to be ethical is, quite frankly, astonishing. As a loyal customer of XpertHR (another LexisNexis product) for approximately six years, I am astounded to have been treated in this manner.

We have served notice on all LexisNexis products and will not be returning as a Customer again in the future.

Pity I can’t give 0 stars. Complete bandits that should be avoided at all costs. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask. These guys kid you with a contract and then in the small print commit you to further years without any reminders. They then doggedly pursue you for years.

If it could give it no stars, I would. Youve been doing hard searches on me since JULY 2022, Who are you? Everyday since July 2022, you've been doing searches on me. You're in new York (apparently) and I'm in the UK, better not use my info for fraud, I've seen other reviews say the same, it's like you're stalking people for their info, bunch of scamming weirdos

After an extensive period of use, I regret to inform that my experience with this company has been overwhelmingly negative, to the point where I feel compelled to advise potential customers to reconsider before engaging their services. Despite their promising initial sign-up process, the reality of the service provided fell significantly short of expectations, particularly for immigration practitioners and micro-to-medium law firms. Below are the specific issues we encountered:

Misleading Sign-Up and Renewal Process: The company advertises a flexible "try and see" service, which appears easy to cancel if found not useful. However, the reality is starkly different. The renewal process is neither transparent nor straightforward, often resulting in unsuspected renewals at inflated prices.

Content and Utility: A large portion of the content offered is readily available online for free. The unique content that is touted as being exclusive and valuable is often outdated or not updated promptly, diminishing its usefulness.

Access Issues: The minimal content that could be considered useful is difficult to locate through their own search tools, and strangely, more accessible through external search engines. However, direct navigation from such external sources leads to unrelated pages, making it virtually impossible to access the intended resources.

Business Practices Concerns: It has become apparent that the company’s practices are designed to lock law firms into a cycle of renewal, exploiting those with limited budgets. Notifications for subscription renewals are timed in such a manner that cancellation is impossible, often leaving firms trapped into paying for another year of underwhelming service.

Lack of Support for Resolutions: Attempts to address and resolve issues related to service quality or renewal concerns have been met with a lack of interest from the company. The stance taken has been one of enforcing renewal fees under threat of legal action, rather than engaging in constructive dialogue to address customer dissatisfaction.

Cancellation and Renewal Notification: The company's policy on cancellation and renewal notifications is both unclear and inconsistently applied. Despite assurances of a certain cancellation notice period, the actual practice seems designed to preclude timely cancellation, trapping firms into unwanted renewals.

It's my hope that this feedback not only serves as a caution . The experience has been frustrating, marked by a lack of transparency and support, leading me to advise others to carefully consider before committing to their service.

Signed up for a subscription for one year and tried to cancel before the year ends as the product not useful but they insist on a 3 month notice period which is hidden in the small print (no mention of it when you take out the subscription). As we didn't give them three month notice they charge for the full year, you cannot cancel during the year - very sharp practice

I signed up for a 12 month subscription service. When the renewal invoice was received I called to cancel one month before the contract ended. I was told I had to give 3 months notice or the contract automatically run for another 12 months. I have been trying to sort this out with them, one of their staff came back and said offer something, I did and have heard nothing back. Now the debt agency is chasing me, I’ve sent them all the correspondence but again nothing back.

I would not recommend this company at all. I am a small business and this is very stressful trying to resolve.

Fraudulent soft credit searches! BEWARE!

They keep appearing on my credit score having done 5 soft searches in the past month. I’ve never heard of them or applied for insurance so have no idea how they have my information.

Trying to work out how to stop them before this escalates to identity fraud.

I would give less if I could, Search your credit history without any reason and with out your permission. I don't have insurance for anything and I have not asker for insure for anything. I would like to know who they are giving my person information to and who authorised this.

Just received two identical letters from them saying a pension company has lost contact with me. Really? Don't bin the reply envelopes. I've sent them away completely empty. They can pay the postage.

Similar experience to others. My issue was on the CFMA product. I signed up the previous year, was given a 30% discount off list price, which made it reasonable for the full 2 book set. Then I was set up for autoship on the invoice. Instead of getting the discount on the next year's autoship it was full list price (over $1,300 total after shipping and tax) for a small stack of papers. Not an honest company, I like the product but I won't support them when they are so dishonest in their pricing.

Will never use them again and do not recommend anyone using them.
Reading other reviews, I have the same story - an unreasonable 90 cancellation period that suddenly comes up when you inform them 2 months in advance about intent not to continue with the subscription.
No option of an administrative fee and cancellation, or revision of the terms and conditions - all non-present as the only thing they want to extort as much money as possible from the customers.

LexisNexis sent my mother a letter regarding her private pension , saying that the pension company could not confirm the identity of her , funny that as she receives regular updates on her pension and payments.
I called Lexisnexis and asked why they were sending my mother letters asking her for her national insurance number and other details they tried to fob me of saying they were appointed by the pension company and my mother needed to complete the form they had sent out. this is a complete lie asking an 85 year old lady for her details they need to be ashamed. IF YOU RECIEVE ANY LETTERS ASKING FOR YOUR DETAILS DO NOT COMPLETE PUT THE LETTER IN THE BIN. THIS IS A SCAM

The worst mistake I ever made was to take out a 1 year contract with this dodgy unethical company.

They promise you a fixed term contract and try and stitch you up with a renewal before the end of the term with a 250% increase in your subscription. YES 250% INCREASE !! .

Even though the increase is in breach of their own terms and conditions which only allow for a 15% increase !!! when you try and cancel due to this breach they accept your cancellation and issue a credit note and then proceed without any further communications, to send you a bogus invoice and refer the matter to their debt collection solicitors without any debt being due in the hope that you give up and pay the bogus invoice ...

They also claim a 90 day notice was not given (even though you gave them 365 days notice when you signed up for a 1 year term) as no termination date was captured om their system !! I responded within 24hrs of receiving their autorenewal some 70+ days before the end of my term advising them of a 1 year agreed term.. This firm of scammers play on their terms and conditions and breach their own terms and try everything possible to get you to pay more !!!!! I am still fighting them and their bogus / scam invoice.
DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF SIGNING UP WITH THESE SCAMMERS !!!!

Awful company. Lock you into a further year's contract without notifying you of your renewal before you have a chance to cancel.

We gave 72 days notice after having been with them for over four years. Price increases were just becoming too much. 72 days would seem ample for a simple software contract that takes 5 minutes to deactivate on their end, but they have 90 days buried in their small print. Would not accept our cancellation and forced us onto another year of payments with a way above inflation 15% increase. Do not touch these sharks and snakes with a 10 foot pole.

Will never ever deal with them again and will tell anyone I can to avoid them like the plague. Disgraceful people.
