A bright future for Life Skills Hub’s Post-16 provision—opening soon!
I recently had a pre-launch tour of the new Life Skills Hub Post-16 provision, which is set to welcome students after Easter. The location is excellent—highly accessible and close to the town centre—and the space itself is modern, light, and perfectly designed. I thought is was an ideal environment for fostering creativity and developing essential employability and life-skills

Having known the founder’s work for over 14 years, I can attest to their long-standing passion for supporting children and this new provison. Is ideally designed to support young people as they progress into adulthood. This is also a much-needed, high-quality alternative provision for the community.

This independent education provision consistently demonstrates an exceptional commitment to its learners. The team specialises in designing individualised, bespoke learning packages, ensuring that every student receives support tailored precisely to their needs. Their approach is both flexible and thoughtful, reflecting a deep understanding of diverse learning styles.

The environment is equally impressive. The setting is spacious, with bright, colourful classrooms that create a positive and engaging atmosphere. The staff are highly qualified professionals who take clear pride in the quality of support they deliver. Their interactions with students are consistently respectful, encouraging, and grounded in genuine care.

Having attended several events hosted by the provision, I have repeatedly observed the strong relationships between staff and learners. The team integrates seamlessly into activities, offering guidance while fostering independence. Students are made to feel seen, valued, and supported — a testament to the provision’s outstanding ethos and practice.

Life skills Hub is a fantastic environment for children to learn in. The staff have the children’s wellbeing at heart and are fully committed to the job.

I was recently invited to visit Life Skills Hub - what a welcoming, inclusive environment for their learners. The care and kindness was clear to see from stepping through the door, and it was clear the thought that had gone into everything to support their young people. It was great to see another training provider really going above and beyond for their learners.

I visited the Life Skills hub to talk about outreach, careers and experiences for their students, I found it to be a truly inclusive and adaptive learning experience!

Every young person deserves exactly what the Life Skills Hub is providing, to be treated as unique individuals, by patient, caring staff who are committed to helping children grow in confidence and independence, allowing them to go out into the world and make a huge difference.

Life Skills Hub truly stands out for its caring approach. Working with their outreach services has been an amazing experience. The thoughtful efforts they put into their services far exceeded my expectations, and we've witnessed real improvements due to the home tutor we've been paired with. Their professionalism is commendable, yet what impresses me more is the sincere care they exhibit, a quality that feels quite rare in today's world.

I had the pleasure of visiting Life Skills Hub in December, where I was shown around by the Head Teacher, Sue. During my visit, I witnessed first-hand the incredible work being carried out to support young people from both the local and regional area. The provision offers a structured approach to education through one-to-one support and small group activities, ensuring that learners remain engaged and motivated.
The facilities were outstanding, much larger than first thought. Sue explained how this once open space has been thoughtfully zoned to promote inclusion while also providing ample breakout spaces for respite when needed. When navigating between rooms you get the sense of a safe and supportive environment for students who may find mainstream education challenging.
The atmosphere throughout the Hub was friendly and calming, which is essential for fostering positive relationships and learning experiences.
Life Skills Hub is truly a gem for those whose needs are not fully met by traditional education settings. The commitment to individualised support and the emphasis on life skills make this an invaluable resource for young people seeking alternative pathways to success. Excellent work Luke, Sue and team.

Me and my colleague from BCFC community foundation, lead a number of different workshops at the school over this past year. Each time we visited, we have been blown away by the school. The teachers are lovely, hardworking, and talented. The building is warm and inviting, and caters to the young peoples specialised needs. The young people are nurtured and supported to be the best versions of themselves. I can’t recommended this school highly enough. I only wish I got to attend this school when I was younger. Well done to Luke and the rest of the team. Keep up the amazing work.

Excellent visit. A really high quality setting with passionate and informed staff, who have created a truly effective and nurturing setting. We at THRIVING2GETHER had a wonderful experience when we visited lifeskills Hub . It truly is a wonderful educational setting that has fabulous facilities and a calm and nurturing atmosphere with dedicated staff. All in all, a truly trauma informed education provider of SEMH/SEND support and learning.

The Life Skills Hub is an incredible service who has really changed my nephews life around over the last few years. He went from a teenager who hardly left his bedroom, to building relationships and going out again. He has learned new skills that will take him further in life, and has come on leaps and bounds socially. It’s really been a life changer for him, and I hope that he continues to grow with the team!

An organisation that cares. My experience has been with the outreach side of Life Skills Hub's service offering and I have to say, it's been brilliant. The considerations they've made for us have been very pleasantly surprising and we've seen genuine progress thanks to our assigned home tutor. Life Skills Hub have been nothing short of professional in my opinion, but I think it goes beyond that - I've always been given the impression that they genuinely care, which seems to be something of a rarity these days.

Just absolutely wonderful to discover the Life Skills Hub and am very much looking forward to working in partnership with them supporting young people who can find life challenging. Having been made aware of Life Skills Hub by another organization, I really did not know what to expect when I set up a visit to go and meet Luke the Founder of Life Skills Hub. Luke himself is an incredible person, totally committed to supporting and caring for vulnerable young people. Just as wonderful as Luke are the facilities and amazing team that has been brought together at the Life Skills Hub.

Working for Adoption UK we have groups for young people who have been adopted, and in the future thanks to Life Skills Hub kindly offering to help us with our work in Hull we will be using the base of Life Skills Hub. Primarily the Sports Hall, to give the young people we are working with the opportunity to do some physical activity, giving us a new dimension to our work, thanks to Luke and the Life Skills Hub.

We are very excited to be beginning this partnership with Life Skills Hub and look forward to us together supporting and developing the young people that we both work with.

I recently visited Lifeskills Hub with my son, upon arriving we received a warm and friendly welcome from Luke and the team of wonderful staff. During a tour of the site we were amazed at the facilities on offer and all the spaces that are available for students to regulate.
My son later attended a taster session and thoroughly enjoyed his time with both students and staff.

An amazing setting that truly believes in the young people they work with. The wealth of experience of the staff and creative and innovative experiences offered is fabulous.

Luke and his wonderful team are so passionate and dedicated and put the needs of their young people at the forefront of everything they do. The school itself is a welcoming space and caters for so many requirements it is inspiring. I truly believe that more schools should be like Life Skills Hub!
