It does easily what it says it will...July 4th 2026

It's been a great little tool and seems quite accurate most of the time.,Have a few hiccups were the location was wrong saying it was a on another road a few miles away from were it actually was, but that's it so far. Only had it for a week or so, so far. For a oow cost basic tracker it's been great so far.

Amazing device and service.

I received my tracking device from LoneStar about a year ago. My vehicle was recently stolen and I called them. Christie put my device into what she called "recovery mode". My vehicle was found within the hour. Great service and I am so happy that I got it.

Fantastic Customer Service

The customer service stood above the rest. Friendly helpful service especially from Christine. She answered all my questions, helped navigate my products and never rushed me. This alone makes me want to continue to give them my business!

Very poor quality devices - Updated

Very poor quality devices. I had to replace the device twice, and both units failed to report properly, sometimes stopping location updates for several days. Initially, I was told that I had purchased the US version instead of the Global version, even though the website does not clearly mention a Global version or provide such an option. Instead of replacing the device, I had to purchase a new one, and the first device ended up in the bin at my own cost.

The second device also arrived with reporting issues, and the batteries were already at 80% on arrival — which is quite disappointing. It again had problems reporting. I replaced the batteries, got them to 99%, and even waited two minutes under a clear sky before installing them, as advised. However, the same problem remained: the device would not report its location, even after driving for more than an hour, and it kept showing my old location.

Additionally, whenever you need to update the device’s reporting interval, you have to contact customer service each time. This is very inconvenient. Other trackers, such as Tracki, allow you to change reporting intervals directly from the mobile app whenever you want.

Customer service is also disappointing. The easiest response they offer is “send the device back and we will send a replacement”, without considering the shipping costs the customer has to bear.

I would not recommend buying this device, especially if you are located outside the USA.

This part is an update to reply on Lonestar’s reply to my review, as there are several misleading information:

1. The GPS signals conditions and windows tenting etc., and all reasons only applicable to your poor devices. As I have now three other different brands and they are all working perfectly while placed in the same exact car and same exact spots as I have placed your device and had issues with it; hence, sorry but your explanation and the reasons given is firing back at the quality of your devices.

2. I have an email from your support team stating that changing intervals can only be done by the support team and I even expressed my disappointment and they said sorry but this is the only way. I have also looked at your mobile app, section by section (which does not have many), and it did not have this option at that time. If you later on updated your app, this is a different story.

3. How about the battery life?? Your device sucks batteries like I have never seen in my life. I have been using GPS tracking devices for my work for years and sorry to say but this is not only the poorest device I have faced, but also the most useless mobile app that comes with it.

4. Why would the customers have to pay a replacement international device when your website had no clear indication of a Global version vs. not Global version device?? Your company only fixed this a week after I complained.

After reviewing your case, it’s important to note that GPS performance can be significantly affected by how and where the device is installed. In particular, certain types of window tint (especially metallic or ceramic tints) can block GPS signals when the tracker is kept inside the vehicle. This can result in delayed updates or the device appearing to stop reporting, even though it is functioning as designed.

We do want to clarify a couple of points you raised:

Our devices do include a Recovery Mode, which allows users to change reporting intervals directly from the app without needing to contact support.
Battery levels at shipment are intentionally not at 100% due to shipping safety regulations, though we understand your expectation.
Regarding US vs. Global versions, we acknowledge this could have been communicated more clearly and are working on improving that.

We also recognize that since you’ve chosen to cancel, this experience did not meet your expectations — and that’s something we take seriously. Your feedback around communication, usability, and support policies is valuable and helps us continue improving.

Can't lose

I like there tracking cuz when I go out and ride snowmobile the wife can keep track of me for safety and if anything happens she can go on app and report it
And if it gets stolen I can find it

Lonestar tracking is great and…

Lonestar tracking is great and especially Zach. I ordered a fourth tracker and he set it up with my special specifications. Including geofence with alerts when cows leave boundaries, when cows are not moving, temperature, and battery alerts. I could not run cattle on my 240 acre not great fence ranch without Lonestar tracking.
