Gave me all the bells and whistles when they were trying to get my business and then nothing.... no communication, no proper invoices which I had to keep chasing up for my accountant and disregarded my request to put things in email when I had a query so that I could keep a record, they just kept ringing me to call them back rather than respond to my emails. There was absolutely NO debt recovery but kept taking my monthly fee until the fees over rode the actual debt recovery so I had to cancel their "service" but there was absolutely no service at all. Total scam - be very wary of this company.

Do not recommmend. We were sold on everything they would help us do and then they don't do anything to actually chase debts. Each time you speak to someone they don't know what's going on - no action is taken and they are just screwing people over to get their onboarding joining fee.

I engaged them against a refrigeration company that took the money but never deliver. Long journey, charged admin and monthly fee, did not get my money back.

Few things, I don't think the methods they've used were effective + I cannot verify whether they actually done anything (I assumed they did).

Due to privacy law, there are limited things they can do, so do your own research before engaging this type of service.

I gave a debt to Marshall Freeman that was never recovered in over 3 months. Whilst there is never a guarantee that they will successfully recover the debt, the issue is that they provide no update on progress. Every time I have had to call in for an update. And even worse they don't appear to actively chase the debtor. I have had to call in and ask for status and get them to reinitiate contact. Meanwhile the whole process has cost me additional money for what is little to no help. In future I would not bother, you would have more success doing the process yourself.

My company has been paying monthly to Marshall Freemen to see if we could recover one bad debt. We heard nothing from them for over a year and then when we called them I was told that they couldn't do anything because my client had changed his phone number. The staff member was not embarrassed or apologetic that I had been paying them to do nothing. I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Basically was a waste of time. I certainly wouldn't recommend. Achieved nothing I didn't know already. And I came to them armed with an enforceable court order and they were still useless

This is the worst service of any kind that we have engaged in 10+ years of operating a business and engaging with hundreds of customers and suppliers.

I called multiple times and requested call backs or emails to give updates on how the debt chasing was proceeding. We received none.

When I did call each time I was given the same story about not being able to contact the debtor as he hasn't answered his phone or email. Clearly steps that we don't need a debt collector for.

This service was a complete waste of time and money.

I contracted Marshall Freeman to collect debts for my commercial painting company.
Marshall Freeman are superb sellers. First they listen very sympathetically to your sad story then they offer hope by saying their debt collection ratio is very high for these types of debts.
The clever part comes in where they get you to pay a $283.80 up front admin fee and sign you up for a $85.80 monthly fee, via direct debit to your bank account.
You will then receive one call from them saying they are chasing entity that owes you money, after that, months go by and nothing.
I even emailed my contact there and said I was going to write a negative review but would be prepared to discuss it if they had made any progress. I heard nothing.

Great debt collection company. Professional and helpful at all times. I would recommend them to all businesses. Staff are always pleasant to speak too.
