Nice numbers, horrible installation design!
I'm also very disappointed in how these are installed. The steel stud into the aluminum should be a press fit or a tapped hole to thread into. With a 11/64" hole in Cumaru siding it had to be pounded into place. I'm pretty confident in the stud to siding mounting. It's relying on a shallow 1/4" deep loose fitting hole in the aluminum number itself relying solely on a tiny bit of epoxy to hold the stud in place thats the problem. I tried to preglue the studs into the numbers first (before installing on the wall) which worked better on some but others they came loose and there is no way to clamp to the side of my house to glue them back on. I have to just rely on gravity. Overall the installation design really does not work for the 8" numbers at least. I'm fully expecting to have at least one or 2 of the numbers laying on the driveway as there is no way the little epoxy is going to hold up long term. If you put too much epoxy the hydraulic pressure will just push the stud out of the hole as well. While it packages neat as flat packs, they should press fit the stud into the numbers prior to shipping. Really really bad design as is. For the larger numbers there is no way they will hold up and are frustrating to mount. I should have went with my gut and drilled and tapped holes or press for a larger stud prior to installing. I attempted to install based on their design and regret it. I can only wait until morning and see if they push out or fall off the studs now and then try to fix it on the wall.
