Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify how purchases for our San Diego same-sex events are handled and how we can help.

Same-sex dating events in San Diego are hosted on a smaller, community-driven schedule.

All tickets are purchased through Eventbrite, which is the ticketing platform and payment processor. While refund requests are typically submitted through Eventbrite, our Cheeky Guarantee is simple: if MyCheekyDate reschedules an event, guests may request a refund. If a guest’s own plans change, their ticket remains valid as a flexible credit for a future event of the same type.

We’re glad we were able to help ensure your refund was handled.

Thank you for sharing your experience in Calgary. We understand how frustrating repeated schedule changes can feel, especially when you’re emotionally invested.

For clarity, when an event is removed from our schedule, notifications are sent in advance, and the event is taken down as soon as rescheduling begins so guests aren’t preparing for a date that won’t proceed. Our records show multiple reschedules in this case, including one requested by you due to travel, which we were happy to accommodate — as we aim to be understanding when life happens.

Across 25,000+ verified Eventbrite events hosted over many years, we’ve consistently worked to support our guests. Tickets remain valid and non-expiring, with payment processing handled by Eventbrite, our ticketing partner and merchant of record. Our team is always happy to assist guests in navigating their options. We also had guest services reach out for any additional help we can offer with Eventbrite.

We’re sorry you’re upset in Dallas. However, comments of a sexually offensive nature directed at our team during the phone call were not appropriate.

Under our Cheeky Promise, guests are always allowed to reschedule without penalty, and in some cases, multiple reschedule requests can require an event to be moved, as happened here. We host 4–6 events each month in Dallas, so there is typically another event just days away.

Our guest services team reached out to help and offered assistance connecting with Eventbrite, the ticket provider, so you could seek support regarding your purchase. We’re always happy to assist Eventbrite customers in reaching Eventbrite directly.

You’re absolutely right that chemistry (and people!) can be a mixed bag — that’s part of meeting humans IRL — but we hear you clearly on the age range feedback. Our age ranges are intentionally set to create comfort and alignment, and when someone knowingly registers outside of a listed range, it’s something we take seriously.

That said, real life can be a little messy, and occasionally guests misrepresent their age or misunderstand the range they’ve signed up for. We actively remind attendees of age guidelines, and your note is a helpful nudge for us to continue tightening that messaging.

We also love your suggestion about offering a wider age-range option — that’s something we already do in some cities and are continuing to expand, as it gives guests more choice and avoids those awkward “well… this is unexpected” moments.

You joined our blind-date matchmaking & events program two months ago, and we do see you attended an event just before joining and received a match. Since enrolling, it appears you haven’t attended further events, and event participation is a core part of the program that drives new introductions. If someone isn’t attending or building new connections, other daters can be cautious — they’re looking for matches who are engaged, social, and excited to meet people.

It also sounds like there may be some confusion about the service purchased. Our program isn’t just forms — it’s a curated blind-date experience where we arrange a lovely night out with someone aligned to your interests, preferences, and vibe.

Dublin has had a bit of a surge in guest reschedule requests as the year winds down, and we do try to be understanding when daters need to move their booking for personal or work reasons. Occasionally this leads to an event being shifted to ensure the right balance and a quality experience for everyone.

From our side, your ticket never expires, and you’re always welcome to join any future date that suits you.

You also have the option of contacting your ticket provider, Eventbrite, for refund assistance. As the merchant of record, they’re the only party with access to your payment details and are always the best resource for refund-related requests. We’ve partnered with Eventbrite for over 9 years and across 25,000+ events, and their support team is consistently helpful.

On our end, we do show you’ve been on the receiving end of reschedule requests — but we’ve also extended quite a number of new event invitations since your registration. We have so many events a month in Chicago - with the latest just 3 days ago at Time Out. We're sorry you've been missing them.

Enforcing a strict “no reschedule” policy would be sure to upset a great many daters. We’ve seen far more guests needing to reschedule, especially in recent months, than we’ve seen guests unhappy about postponed events. It’s a difficult balance, and sometimes there simply isn’t a solution that makes everyone happy.

We do our best to manage these situations with kindness and flexibility — understanding that life happens — while working diligently to personally invite anyone affected to new, well-balanced events that align with their schedule.

Eventbrite, our partner for over 25,000+ events, is always available to assist with any purchase or ticket-related requests via their online chat or through email.

From time to time, an event may be rescheduled to ensure a balanced guest list or due to a venue adjustment. We do also always allow guests to reschedule — life happens! Whether it’s travel, illness, or simply a scheduling clash, we can’t imagine telling a dater they can’t move to another event. We give as much notice as we get - which in your case was the evening before.

While refunds for postponed events are handled directly by Eventbrite (our official ticketing partner), we’re always happy to help you find another date that fits.
