Poor quality, incomplete installation, and unresolved issues
I am extremely disappointed with my fitted bedroom installation and the overall service received.
The fitter left to attend another job while multiple defects remained. As a result, the installation is incomplete and falls well below an acceptable standard.
Key issues include:
- Damaged drawer front
- Incorrectly fitted mirrored doors (causing collision with room door)
- Missing shelves (only 2 fitted instead of 3 of design and payment)
Poor finish (visible white sealant, missing caps, exposed cable hole)
Unexplained holes and incorrect shelf dimensions
The list goes on...
In addition:
Drawings were not properly reviewed at survey stage
Paperwork was amended incorrectly without consent
Full payment was taken despite finance agreed
It has now been over a month with no resolution or follow-up despite multiple communications from me
The room is currently not usable for my child in its intended way, which is completely unacceptable given the cost and expectations set.
Overall, this has been a very poor experience: substandard workmanship, lack of attention to detail, and inadequate aftercare. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company. As a prior Hammonds customer, I really regret my decision to go with these. The sales person/designer was lovely, but the rest has been appalling.

Safety and quality issues
This is the same company as wefitanyfurniture. My child has hurt herself due to the poor furniture fit and quality. We have tried to contact the company a number of times and not getting any response! We were Hammonds customers and so beyond disappointed that I went with this company with the both quality and shocking customer service.

We're sorry to read that your experience did not meet your expectations.
Having reviewed your concerns during the installation, our records show that the furniture supplied and fitted was manufactured in accordance with the design agreed at the point of order and subsequently confirmed during the technical survey. The end shelving units you refer to were shown on both the original design drawings and the survey documentation provided prior to manufacture.
We understand that, during the installation, you wished to make changes to some of the furniture layouts. Whilst we always try to accommodate customer requests wherever possible, alterations of this nature cannot usually be made once furniture has been manufactured and installation is underway. Any redesign or replacement components required after production would therefore be subject to additional costs.
We are naturally disappointed that you were unhappy with your experience, as our aim is always to provide both excellent service and a finished installation that customers are delighted with. Nevertheless, we appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best for the future.”

Bob made creating my new space easy and stressed free. He listened to my needs and created a beautiful layout to meet my needs snd budget. He was open and honest. Only slight confusion was 0% finance options, this is unfair on both sales team and customer. I'd recommend the website be clear on offers.

Our overall experience with My Fitted…
Our overall experience with My Fitted Bedroom was excellent - from the initial contact with the sales person, the surveyor and then the fitter. Also the office team who were in contact with me throughout the process to organise delivery and fitting dates were brilliant. The final product (wardrobe fitted into space between chimney breast and wall, dressing/table desk, and shelves) in our daughter's bedroom looks fabulous. They have lost 1 star because I was disappointed about the depth of the wardrobe drawers - only 400ml (which is standard for a chest of drawers) but our ask was to maximize the space for storage and the drawers could easily have been deeper since there is a big void behind them. We didn't realise until the fitter has put them in and when we queried it, he told us that the company only do drawers at that depth. I appreciate that this was shown on our plans, but I hadn't fully appreciated it until seeing the actual drawers. It just means our daughter has less storage space for her clothes than we would like. So my advice would be to check every measurement on your plans carefully to ensure it is what you want. I guess also that to get a fully custom piece, with deeper drawers, we would have had to pay more. I do think My Fitted Bedroom are excellent value for money and all our interactions with the company and their staff was excellent. So I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
