We took a subscription for our grand children, 3.5 year old twins.They love it, we read about the animals and do some of the games.A segment called wacky world tells about eco artists making electric guitars out of old car engines, indoor rice planting in china and the pedal peddal initiative of a sculpture made from bicycles fished out of a canal in Amsterdam.Animal story's this month it was about Lions and the upbringing of their cubs and an article about digging up dinosaur bones in the Sahara desert, were temp can reach 51°C.Interesting for us oldies too.Also an introduction to drawing animals.Super magazin for all of us Thank you to the nat geo kids team

Ordered the Little kids book and Magazine subscription for my grandson's birthday in late March 26. The first issue was slow to arrive, but it eventually came in May. We were supposed to receive a book on the months that he did not get a magazine, but apparently they ran out of books and he has not received a single one. Several e-mails to customer service results in eventually (like several days later) receiving a response that they are awaiting the books to be restocked and they will be mailed when restocked. I ordered in March. It is now September and still no books- 5 months later.

No offer for a credit, no offer for extending the subscription. It's too bad because my grandson loves the magazines and he is so excited when they arrive. He'd even be happy if they offered him the big kid books instead of little kids, but no- just - they will ship when restocked. At this point, his subscription is going to be over!

I would not order from them again.

Given the magazine is for little kids, I think it should include more about well known wild animals, rather than focusing on obscure insects that can be found in only one place.
Also, less reading / writing activities. Not all children read at 4!

A very informative yet fun read. My 3 year old and 5 year old love receiving the magazine monthly. It’s also prompted important discussions around climate change, environmental issues and endangered species and what we can do to help. Highly recommend

My grandson in England (we live in Canada) LOVES getting his Little Kids Magazine every month, and especially loves the stickers! He is 3 years old and a smart cookie, so he loves learning about whatever is in the magazine!

Gave this as gift for 5yr old Grandson. He loved it & it was so appropriate for his age. I received all the emails over the time of subscription though & had to forward them all to his parents email. Not sure if I missed something but it would have been great to have been able to arrange for emails to be sent to them directly.

My grandson absolutely loves it, his mum leaves it in the letter box for him when he comes in from school, he has it on the floor, flicking through the pages before he changes out of his uniform

Buying a National Geographic Kids subscription for my son was probably the best gift I've ever given him!
He gets so excited every month when they arrive and reads them cover to cover. He has also taken part in a couple of free webinars which he has found fascinating!

If you're looking for something that will engages your kids and brings the family together, look no further. National Geographic Kids is a total win for my children, every issue is brimming with cool science, amazing animals and global news that’s actually fun to read. We have made it our ritual to read a few pages before bed across the week, and it’s become the highlight of our evenings. Even the breathtaking images spark deep dives into questions I never saw coming! A brilliant way to bond and learn at the same time. Highly recommend for fellow young explorers!

I have an ongoing gift subscription for my, now 9yo grandson. He loves receiving his own mail but more importantly, loves the magazine. He enjoys the articles and quality photos etc. As a retired primary teacher I recognise this and the importance of providing another reading genre. As his little brother is now learning to read, we get double the value! Congrats to the production team and all associated with this wonderful publication.

National Geographic for kids has been an outstanding organisation to work with.
They always respond when issues arise.
The bonus is that my 9 year old grandson loves the magazine. He loves that it comes in the mail addressed personally to him and he reads it as soon as he opens it. He goes back to articles to reread them and discusses them with his parents

I bought a 6month gift subscription for my great nephew. He doesn't have an email account as he is eight. A lot of emails come addressed to me for digital content which is no use to him living a long way away from me. I have not found it easy to access the account and cancel the auto renewal of the subscription and am still waiting for a reply from customer services on this matter. I'm sure the magazine itself is great but the gift option management has been frustrating.

My grandson loves this magazine, he sends me interesting facts each time his new edition arrives.

The magazine is great, so engaging and informative and most of all fun!

Customer service is terrible

Magazine was good and delivered promptly but my daughter (5 year old) doesn't have any enthusiasm for it at the moment so after the first year tried to cancel (possibly with a view to re-subscribing at a later date)

They have a submit a ticket option on the website which I did on 30th June.

Standard email saying

"We are currently experiencing a higher-than-usual volume of inbound emails, but we are working hard to respond to all emails as quickly as possible."

"access to online accounts is temporarily unavailable due to currently undergoing an upgrade. We'll let all customers know as soon as this feature is available again!"

Therefore no option to cancel via your logon - Waited 8 days and no response so have sent another "submit a ticket" - same standard email response as before -

have now tried emailing directly to ngmintl (at) subscription.co.uk (cannot find a UK phone number)

Had a standard response as below:

"Your email has been received and forwarded to a customer services representative for resolution.

Your query is very important to us and will get back to you within 2 working days."

Hopefully they respond to this

I am unlikely to re-order from this company though due to all these problems.

Follow up - have now been communicating for 2 weeks now with no response (submitted 2 tickets / sent email to 4 email addresses / responded to request for info on Trust Pilot but still nothing)

This company should be reported to Trading Standards (as it is impossible to cancel a subscription) - DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY !!!

I ordered subscription over 3 weeks ago. No trace of my order. Money taken. Chasing customer service who are not providing any reassurance that they're dealing with it. No proactvity from the customer service team. Emailed again chasing today and anticipating another holding email. No contact number available to speak to anyone.

The magazines are great. They are full of colorful pictures and lovely facts. The activities are more or less the same in every issue. Could do with some more variety.

Appaling website and customer service is non existent. I couldnt cancel my renewal online as the website wouldnt work. I sent a ticket into customer service to cancel my renewal in May. I have just been notified they have taken money from my card for a renewal. This is not even a Direct Debit. They have just charged my card without my permission. There isn't any way to contact them by telephone in the UK so I'm stuck submitting another ticket to get them to refund the unauthorised payment. This is a dreadful company to deal with so don't bother.
