I was looking for something to provide an extra layer of protection for my dog against wood ticks in addition to his monthly pills. Customer service promptly replied to my email regarding the use of the Outfox Field Guard for this purpose. Though no other customer has stated that they used the guard against ticks the representative took the time to send me a detailed description of the Field Guard. I was very impressed by this courtesy.
The Outfox Field Guard is a little heavier than I expected and it's taking a while for my dog to be comfortable with it.
We have not gone to Maine yet where the ticks were really bad last year so I can't say if the guard works against ticks but it's worth a try.

I put a treat in the bonnets and my dogs put their heads right in. I did that afew times then left them on and took my dogs outside. They stood looking around at first then took off running and having fun. Like they didn't have any thing on. When they came back the Fox hood was full of foxtails. Mostly around the nose area. So happy with the product.

There were some shipping and delivery problems related to my order and OutFox worked with me to make me whole. I appreciate the customer service-they were prompt, very responsive and fair.

I have a 16 year old rat terrier who is going blind due to cataracts. He is nose to the ground and every weed on the trail. Last year he had a $400 foxtail taken out of his snout, he is now too old to be sedated.
I found out about Outfox and was hesitant, how good can this be? I was picturing window screen made into a bag.
It's not and it's amazing, it's very small holes and very thick screening material, it's folded under and sewed where his nose is touching the ground, it's double or tripled in that area.
He wears no collar just a harness, I pop it on his head, he doesn't resist or try to remove it. We do only walk on trails on a leash.
I have so much peace of mind with him wearing his mask.
As for the customer service, it's amazing. Emails in real time! Answers that answer your questions.

I actually ordered this to get my dog to stop eating things in the yard. I had a muzzle first but he would just stand at the door with it on. With the field guard he doesn’t seem to mind it nearly as much and will run around, play and do his business with it on!

This product is great. It’s just stiff enough that it doesn’t collapse around the dogs face. Also has the extra material by the mouth, which is great, since dogs want to try and pick things up still with their mouth. Great product!

I received the head guard a few days after ordering and I was notified by e-mail of it's progress and tracking info was given. The product looks just like the previous one we ordered that lasted over a year and a half. I know that it will continue to prevent our Lola from eating garbage, etc. when she is outside or on walks. I love Outfox because it gives us much peace of mind.

An excellent product and superb customer service.

No complaints about the company. Great experience. The product just didn't end up working out for me. My dog is a scavenger with allergies so the only option I have right now with him is to try to train him up to accepting the mask was with kibble and during one of those training sessions he bit a hole in it and now it's worthless. Loved the concept because it seemed easier than a muzzle and since he's a pit would rather not have to use a muzzle and have people make wrong assumptions about him.

We love our foxguards to keep the dogs from eating nuts.

My puppy ate everything in sight when she was outside - the fox guard allowed her to be out and play without any problems - She could still chase a ball and carry it in her mouth - She could also drink water once she got used to it - Great product for puppies who eat everything - she has finally outgrown this habit - but I wouldn't hesitate to use it again !! My dog eats anything--and the result was often a visit to the vet. I've used the Outfox Field Guard for almost two years and it has transformed both of our lives. I don't worry when she's off lead and with the mask on she can carry on as usual, playing, drinking water, doing everything but eating what she shouldn't. My order always arrives within the week, and if I have questions, the Foxguard folks always answer promptly--I couldn't recommend them and their product more highly!
