We have had Nationwide for years and have been very happy with the peace of mind having our pet covered. We just got another dog and went right to Nationwide for the same coverage on our puppy.

We have had Nationwide pet insurance for 10 years and have been very pleased with coverage and reimbursement process, as well as the live vet line and prescription agreement with Walmart. We just enrolled our 2nd pet. Only disappointment is the change to modular plans and discontinuation of whole pet with wellness plan for new pets.

I enrolled my dog when we first got her from her breeder, 6 years ago. At the time the premiums were reasonable and the coverage was great. Through the years the premiums increased to more than double the initial premiums. I continued with the coverage in spite of the premium increases because of the excellent coverage and the ease of filing the claims. However, this last year, they decided to make a huge change. My premiums were significantly reduced, but they have greatly reduced the coverage. At this point, only 5 months into the new contract, I have exhausted all the coverage provided, unless we have to deal with a catastrophic illness in the future, which is not likely as we take great care of our pet. So essentially, I will be paying premiums for no more coverage. I'm thinking seriously about cancelling my policy.

Nationwide has done wonders for my pets over the years. I've always found the rates to be fair and the claim process to be fairly quick. Also, adding pets was a simple process over the phone, which I recommend because they explain each type of plan to you so you know what you're getting.

I was unable to sign up on line as your birthdates did not recognize anyone that was born prior to 1950 which excluded me from signing up. I had to call the customer service number and Ken was as helpful as he could be. But even he could not sign me up as your system would not allow him to open my account. I had to input my credit card 3 times before I was finally able to get an account opened. And it took the assistance of Ken's supervisor "Steve". After about a hour of back and forth the account was finally established. Thank you Steve and Ken.
Now I see that my credit card was charged not for one month but two months at the same time. I did not remember hearing about that. Perhaps I missed that in the fine print. Or maybe now I have a double billing problem. If your claims settlement is this bad I will probably be a short time customer. I am anxious about your systems and I am waiting on the next crisis to happen. Your people are nice and is the only reason I am a new customer.
