I am about to finish my contract and was looking for work. Applied a few months ago and then applied in November 2025. Heard nothing. If thats how they treat potential candidates how are they when you finally sign to them. No thanks warning heeded

I called the London office to see if they have family work available in the Slough area (I have extensive experience in family work) I spoke with M, he informed me that they have work available and gave me a name B to forward my CV to which I did. I did not hear back so I called the office and was put through to B, the phone rang but didn’t go to voicemail.
I called again and spoke to R (she answered the phone outside as I couldn’t hear her due to the wind!) she said I can forward my CV to her. The reply I received from R felt dismissive & inconsistent with the conversation I had with M.
She had the audacity to advise me to gain six months of residential care experience before being considered!! The response was unprofessional and she came across immature in her position.
I have complained and funnily enough no one has got back to me!
I would not recommend this agency at all. Right from the outset my experience with Prospero has been unprofessional and dismissive.

This review is mainly focused on HR and HB my line manager there is no actual structure in place with this company , they will just pull you into a meeting and they will terminate your contract with no actual real reason, I have worked for the company for 10 months, I passed probation with flying colours with no issues or negative feedback given all performance reviews were fine , on the 17/01/25 I got pulled into a meeting from my manager HB to “pass” a message on from the HR advisor HL who did not have the courtesy to be on the call as to why they are terminating my contract HB did not really have much to say for herself and did not show any remorse, When I questioned her all she said was it’s for business cuts and not achieving, when I questioned the “ not achieving” this is a lie HB being my line manager i would expect her to raise this concern if I was not achieving and not to just to terminate your contract? The correct policy would be to have a meeting and address any issues if there were any or go down the route of a performance plan, I have been given plenty of positive feedback in my career with Prospero. This is very disappointing to hear a false statement from your line manager and Hr, when I spoke with Hr advisor HL she was not helpful she didn’t even apologise for what was happening and couldn’t answer questions just as HB couldn’t and they using the excuse “business cuts” to back themself up
In the past few months, at least one to 2 people have been forced to leave the company and with an immediate effect and contracts have been terminated for many achieving staff that worked for Prospero, it appears that higher management have zero loyalty to their staff and left my direct line manager in a difficult position in having to inform me of their decision. They will release you from your contract without a second thought or full explanation leaving you with so many unanswered questions, Hr will also manipulate the amount they pay you in your last pay so will not end up with what you expected, again without a full explanation
Prospero say out loud on their website that they are the best company to work for yes working on your team is great but HR are not, please be warned they will not help or support you in anyway! I hope this review helps to an insight of Prospero

I have been reading the reviews I am shocked at what so called professionals have been writing about other colleges its shocking to read.and lots of lies being told this is unprofessional and should be addressed by management and not for the world to read
Some people stating there have been registered managers should know better.and not behave in a unprofessional manner
I myself have not had a good experience with this company too much gossip from unprofessional so called experienced staff talking about other professionals we are there to safeguard the young people we work with

Management are approachable and appreciative, I have dealt with Birmingham and Liverpool mostly. I have built up a great working relationship with them. Support workers are fun and caring and put the children/young person first.

I have been working with Prospero since 2016. I have really enjoyed working with the company.
When I have an issue, I always contact my consultant who always listens to my concerns and will do her best to resolve it. Trainings are given on time to make sure work is with excellence.
Infact, I've recommended my friends already.
I am working on a package for a year now, that we started from the scratch. I'm working with a team, that is the best. Of course there has been challenges along the way, but we always overcome them. The payroll team are also very efficient. I come to work ready to give my best all the time.

Prospero at Birmingham always coordinated, pay attention to information, excellent team and great place to work.
Prospero is an organisation where an individual can grow and gain more experience as they conduct training for support workers.
Although, some jobs can be challenging but the manager Marie constantly encourage/ commend staff, she is very intelligent and professional.also, Megan is always respectful and proactive. Marie and Megan makes the job enjoyable, with a great salary.😊

Prospero rises to the challenge to bring back the clients from the cliff edge and put the feet on solid ground where more supports agency and less formal support structure are able to engage with them again and have a meaningful impact.

Unfortunately, if you want to work for Prospero Health and Social Care - London Branch, think again. You better watch your back. You will find there is underhand tactics going on with the staff on the ground and the London Office staff. I reported several safeguarding concerns which were ignored by the office management. Then be accused of safeguarding concerns that are NOT true. It's disgusting how the office staff think it's funny to make false allegations.
STEER CLEAR OF THEM!!!

Excellent Agency to work for. I would say it’s quite very difficult getting into the system unlike other agency but after getting through I came to realise that they wanted all checks to be done. I mean thoroughly. Prospero has good trainings and they take good care of staff. Tony and Jack kudos.

I had an unfortunate and frustrating experience with the organization. The recruitment process initially went smoothly until I was handed over to a compliance officer. Despite having a clean DBS and providing at least four references, including my current employer, who all promptly provided their references, my application has been stuck in limbo since May 2023. The delay stems from an agency I previously worked for refusing to respond to the reference request.
What makes this situation even more baffling is that the organization already possesses three/four reference responses, including one from my university's personal tutor. I went above and beyond by supplying the team with payslips and even a P45 from the agency, but it seems all my efforts have gone to waste.
The most distressing part of this ordeal has been the stress associated with the extensive documentation and training I underwent, with nothing to show for it. I strongly believe that the compliance team would benefit from additional training on how to approach situations with more flexibility, tact, and reasonableness.
It's disheartening to think that my application remains incomplete due to another agency's refusal to cooperate.
I just requested for erasure of my data with the organisation and the same compliance officer finds it amusing sending me smiley emoji despite her mean action towards my application.
