Protyre Autocare - Newbury Bewertungen 

So yesterday I ordered online 4x Falken ZE320 to be installed at the Protyre Newbury branch today at 10:30am with front wheel alignment. So far so good, good deal and discount etc online.
I arrived and the garage fitted the tyres, completed the wheel alignment. I asked for a printout of the receipt which I received. Excellent I thought, job all done in just over an hour.

I walked to my daughter’s vehicle and as per the documentation it says check make sure everything was still on the wheels before leaving. I then noticed that the garage had fitted the Falken Ze320 to the front of my vehicle and Falken ZE310s to the rear.
I went back to the reception and raised my point advising I don’t have the 4 same tyres as per my order and the receipt I have received.
I did question this and was told the 310 and 320 is to do with the year of manufacture of the tyre. Now I’m not stupid and knew that was incorrect. I was told the 310 and the 320 have the same tread pattern and there is no difference between the 2.
I then left the garage and got home to do a quick piece of research. The 4 digit dot code denotes the month and year of manufacture which I thought was the case so basically I have been lied to.

 I then found the ZE310 was released in 2018 and has a fuel rating of D the ZE320 which is the newer upgraded tyre was released in 2024 has a fuel rating of C. I would like to think the newer upgraded tyre is better than the original.

I then compared the tread patterns on the tyres and they are different. The garage even has literature advising its best to have same brand make and part the same and they let me leave with something I never ordered.

I Googled both tyres and reviews online the ZE320 has better overall ratings than the 310 by quite a bit so to basically be clever and fob me off isn’t the cleverest thing to do.

I have now raised the above with the customer services team and I am awaiting a solution as to what they are going to do and hopefully they are also thinking about my time I have wasted trying to sort this out.
I am disgusted that a garage will try and give an older tyre on a vehicle and not say a word about it, so please be wary if you order your tyres to be installed at Protyre Newbury check what’s been fitted as you may not get what you order.
Let’s see if I get an update tomorrow to put this matter to bed, as currently they are a garage I would never recommend as they have lost my trust.

Excellent service from Dan and Mark 16th April. They fitted 4 new tyres to my car having ordered them the night before to arrive early that morning. They noticed there was damage to the suspension on the nearside front, probably from a pothole. I have arranged to get it fixed next week and to have the tracking reset. Paul H
