Lucy from river has emailed me about 20 times, after I told her from the first email i am NOT interested in the role. She is beyond spamming me and it’s borderline harassment at this point. Awful

Scam Company exploiting young vulnerable people
Contacted me with job offer, seemed really shady. Under the guise of sales and marketing role - the job was really to stand outside of shopping centres and beg people to donate to the charity theyre posing as. They say its the current client they are working for to get people interested in the events run by them or the business, and that they have worked with different businesses in the past - but actually this is the scam, theyve been working under this childrens deaf charity for the past five years, A TOTAL MLM PYRAMID SCHEME, STAY FAR FAR AWAY - you will NOT get your pay, they will say base pay with conditions IT IS ESSENTIALLY ZERO HOURS CONTRACT THEY ARE TRAPPING YOU IN AND WITH NO FAIR PAY. DO NOT INTERVIEW, APPLY, EVEN IF YOU ARE DESPERATE. WASTE OF TIME AND RESOURCES, YOU WILL LOSE MONEY AND EFFORT. get a trustworthy job where the job is CLEAR and the company is known and well trusted, there is a whole debunking thread on reddit too. They do this under several names, horrible and exploitative to young people who need jobs and dont know any better.

Scam company offering fake jobs. Applied for a position through Indeed and this "company" called and emailed me instead of the place I actually applied for. Classic telltales of a scam position, "would you like to work full time or part time", no real physical location, and tried to give me an interview with the threat of "its today only and if you dont take it the position expires". Watch out for this place, absolute textbook case of a fake Indeed job scam.

Con to get young people to work for them as self-employed. Dont belive what they say. They will also ask you to work two weeks with no pay and no contract. STAY AWAY !!

At first they were called Ricochet NW, then they were River MCR and now they are R1ver (Google them or read the reviews for them on trustpilot). They're the same company run by the same awful people.

The advertise a misleading job with excellent career progression and on the first day the office was a mess with dodgy paperwork. All they do is sent their lowest level workers door-to-door turning them into Chuggers. They're intentionally unclear on how much they pay per sale. They have commission only pay (the salary they advertise is a lie). If you are appying know they want to take advantage of you and have no respect.
