He went above and beyond by waiting past closing time for us to arrive at the Chelsea Embankment store so we could store our belongings. This made such a difference — without his help, we would have been stranded with a car full of items.
He was incredibly efficient in finding us a suitable unit and took the time to clearly explain all the timings and complete the paperwork smoothly.

The facility is clean, well lit and easily accessible - what else can you ask? Everything is managed via a phone app which makes it really easy to get in and also to grant access to others, manage your contract, etc.
I should also mention the staff (especially Mofe) who have been brilliant - polite, helpful and competent.
Honestly, I chose Safestore based solely on price and location, but I have nothing but praise. Really good facility with lovely people running it.

Verschrikkelijke ervaring met dit bedrijf! Na lang en breed alle betalingen te hebben voldaan (zonder betalingstermijn overschreden te zijn) en duidelijke communicatie over de dag waarop ik de box kom ontruimen, is mijn box geblokkeerd met een extra hangslot. Terwijl er in mijn contract staat dat ik 24/7 toegang zou moeten hebben tot de box. Samen met mijn moeder sta ik daar en ben verbijsterd dat ik krijg te horen dat ik eerst bewijs van betaling moet laten zien. Terwijl er niet eens een betalingstermijn is overschreden om bij mijn box te komen. Daarbij geef ik duidelijk aan niet met de persoon in discussie te willen gaan. Vervolgens gaat mevrouw wel een discussie met mij aan. Waarbij ook nog eens geweigerd wordt mijn box open te doen. Wordt ik volledig uitgescholden, waarbij ik ook in een woord wisseling raak met mijn moeder, die inmiddels ook helemaal overstuur is van het gebeuren, sta ik minstens 20 minuten te wachten tot mijn box wordt open gedaan. Waarbij ik daarna terug kom bij receptie opzoek ben naar deze mevrouw, zij niet op haar plek is. Ik haar aan het zoeken ben om mijn kast open te krijgen, inmiddels de politie heb gebeld, omdat de zaak aardig uit de hand aan het lopen is. Waarbij ik vervolgens tijdens het gesprek met de politie te horen krijg, dat me kast is open gemaakt. Ik zou dit bedrijf aan niemand aanbevelen. Wurgcontracten, met wurgbetalingen. Waarbij je na 1 dag een te laten overboeking gelijk 4 mails krijg met dwang aan betaling. Bij afscheid hoef je niks te ondertekenen. Ik vroeg nog wat ik moet doen om te bewijzen of te ondertekenen dat de box is leeg gehaald. Mevrouw zegt letterlijk tegen mij: Misschien moet je een foto maken van de lege box boos, zodat je niet nog een factuur toegeschreven krijgt. Met een tantige toon! Echt ongelofelijk! Ik ga het hoofdbedrijf benaderen over deze mevrouw. Haar naam is overigens Mabel Kuyer, van locatie Het Gooi!

I had a really great experience at Safestore. Junior was extremely friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.
It’s not often you come across service like that, and it honestly made a big difference. I left feeling confident that my belongings are in good hands.

The staff were very helpful and explained in full the access and facilities available to assist in loading the storage into the unit. The access is very easy to use and controled from an app on your phone. I would certainly recommenfd Safestore.

Very unfair treatment!
Very disappointed in your service. I was lured in by your £1 for 4 weeks deal. Despite leaving *after only 3 weeks*, I'm now being charged £190(!!), for a whole additional month I'm not even using, because I didn't give the full 2 weeks notice. This is insane. My unit is literally empty, and available to be used by someone else.
Grateful to Sue at New Cross for trying her best to work things out for me. But when lovely staff want to help you, but there's absolutely nothing that can be done because "the system has already issued the invoice" you're not dealing with real people anymore, just a profit-hungry corporation.
I would never have come anywhere near Safestore if I knew this would happen. This is a lot of money for an ordinary person, and the company will barely even notice it.

I had a very clear informative call…
I had a very clear informative call with Natasha the afternoon before I needed to store my belongings due to a sudden deadline to complete the house sale. I had 3 Caddy vans full. The quote was an offer of £200 for 8 weeks. February to April. When I got there Hannah knew about my requirements, answered questions and took the time needed to get me through the paperwork and show me the unit before I finalised the agreement. The unit was immaculate.
I was unsure when I would need some belongings as I hadn't yet bought the boat I was planning to move onto. By requesting the 14 day notice as I made the 2 month agreement, I could come and go as needed after that period. Completing was easy. Just empty the unit and take my lock. I took photos to show them I had done this. Hannah was very friendly and business like throughout. Thank you.

Communication??
Unfortunately, I had the worst moving experience resulting in the removal company not arriving on site until approx. 5.45.
I was stuck in transit many hours behind the removal van due to the incompetence of the operatives. I telephoned ahead to advise Safestore and was reassured by a very pleasant young man.
However things went from bad to worse. Cameron, who was on duty in the afternoon must have told me a dozen times 'but we close at 6.00 and 'let me explain to you' which I found patronising and irritating. I'm a 68 year old recently widowed woman with a degree and manage 120 fellow colleagues so I'm not without a modicom of intelligence. Cameron made things worse instead of easier, resulting in me in tears and having a complete meltdown at Wetherby service station.
Fortunately, a friend who lives in Surrey (I was in transit from Northumberland) saved the day, my belongings and my sanity by negotiating with Cameron to get the 'paperwork' aka on- line forms completeed. These were sent as PDF files so needed converting in order to sign the documents necessary to complete the security checks that SafeStore quite rightly require. This was supposed to have happened at 4.00p.m. in plenty of time for the 6.00p.m curfew.
SafeStore, I have every trust in your premises and processes etc but you really need to train your operatives better! The communication skills were patronising and not fit for the delicate nature of my particular circumstances, none of which were my fault. If managers aren't prepared to assist with customers just a little beyond their 6.00p.m. deadline then maybe they shouldn't be in this particular game/business.
