Their app is 'pants'. Useless .. fails each time then blocks you. You reinstall then have to wait 24 hours 'cooling period". You need a cooling period after the frustrations of dealing with this ban... Mehr ansehen

No access to the money on my savings account

I want to report about the experience my wife made today with Security Bank when she wants to take their money from the savings account.
She go told that most of the money is blocked due to an old credit card which was already canceled many years ago. During investigation, it became obvious that the back office of the Security Bank did not do their job by removing the blockage at the time the credit card got canceled.
What was even more annoying is the fact that it takes an unspecified amount of time/days to release the money.
I regard this as a modern form of cheating the clients.

Don't bank here or get any of their products

Their customer support is very very poor. Their product design (credit cards) is very very poor. I closed all my SBC accounts and terminated my credit card.

I recently had a bad experience with their Platinum Mastercard. After receiving persistent calls from their card agent, I gave in and said yes to being issued with their Platinum Mastercard. It was not explained to me that for the USD spendings, I have to go to a physical branch and settle payment there. This is absurd! The positioning of the card is for travelers. If you are a traveler, how the heck will you have the time to settle card balances in a physical branch. Another way is to incur PhP so they can convert the USD to PHP. Imagine! You're a paying customer yet you are required to shoulder PhP100 just for you to settle the balance. LOLS! Whoever is designing SBC's Credit Card features should be placed under scrutiny! Yet, SBC is wondering why they are not placing in top 3 for cards.

The name should not be Security Bank…

The name should not be Security Bank but Scam Bank. We have a group in fb, all members are all clients from Security bank, our bank information that should have been secured by the bank were leaked or an insider has given it away as most of the cases the scammer knew everything, its like talking to their customers service when you call them. I lost almost 200k from this bank, never ever trust your money in this bank coz they will not lift a finger to help out resolve your problem.

Terrible! Don’t recommend it at all

It’s not a bank, its poor substitute. App is always doesn’t work, support is unbelievable stupid, if they make some updates it mean bank cards and app will stop working for 2-4 days!!! I’ve never seen something more terrible when security bank.

Lost my hard-earned money thru…

Lost my hard-earned money thru fraudulent transaction. Despite having reported within 5 minutes, and being told by the CSR that the destination account (of course they know the destination account due to KYC requirement) was deactivated on time and the money remain intact, the bank refused to return my money. What is suspicious is that the fraudster seems to know the exact amount in my account, i issued the day before the incident a check, how did the fraudster know when the check withdrawal cleared to know the amount to transfer in their fraudulent account?it seems that security of our money in security bank is not secure at all

Unsecured Bank

Ironically, this commercial bank with "Security" in its name had been a long-time target of scammers for years. Until now, it hasn't improved its security and more and more victims fall into the scheming tactics of scammers who conveniently had the complete records of depositors. Their customer service and Fraud team was the WORST. They never had a system to revert the scammed transactions even after being reported to them. An investigation would allegedly take 20 banking days--long enough for the depositor to totally lose their money.

Full of BS bank

The only thing secured in Security Bank is the bank's interest.

They sent me a Credit Card last year, I tried to activate it via SMS and CALL but they did not let me. Now I'm being charged annual fees for it. I went to the local branch and they just pointed me towards customer support phone/email.

Now customer support just keeps on re-iterating that I have to have yearly spending to qualify on waiving the annual fee. How can I have a spending amount if I cant even activate/use the credit card? I cant even spend one peso with their card.

After a lot of exchanges with the customer support, they finally realized the stupidity of their logic. Now in order to waive the annual fee, they are going to send me a new Credit Card and I have to spend a certain amount needed within a timeframe once the card is activated. Why not just remove the fee and we can all proceed with our quiet lives.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would, but I can't. Totally useless and untrustworthy bank. I set up a joint account with Security Bank, with my girlfriend and mother of my kids, on the specific understanding that I could transfer money from England, UK to the Philippines. As I'll be in the Philippines permanently later this year. First transfer of just £100.00 went through OK, although it was less x2 charges. Even though I'd paid All Charges when I sent this money from my UK bank account. Second amount of just £50.00 has not yet been received, over 1 week after it was sent and is apparently in New York, USA, they told my girlfriend. Even though I have no USA bank account as I'm a UK resident. So what it's doing there, I really don't know! It's standard BS from them, I guess. The money was returned eventually to my UK bank account, after 10 days, less £35.00. As I received only £15.00. Which is scandalous as the original £50.00 never went where I wanted it to go, our joint account with Security Bank. And I’ve been now lost £35.00. So Security Bank can’t handle money transfers from UK to the Philippines. And they didn’t tell us that when we opened the account. They’re dishonest and fraudulent. Which isn’t acceptable to us. And shouldn’t be to anyone else. We’ve now closed this account and withdrawn all money that was in it. I'd advise everyone and anyone NOT to use this very poor excuse for a bank,

Pro's: will approve your loan fast(of course with high interest), I had my own car because of my previous loan from them.

Be extremely wary about their Mastercard

The reason for reviewing this otherwise excellent bank badly is in relation to their Mastercard. In spite of having the service of one time pins for purchasing online they allowed 23 (!) charges ( all the same) to be made ot my card which were all not authorized by me from Apple. I reported this in fact they texted to call as there were fraudulent charges. After advising them of this fact and they accepting it their investigation wil take 50/60 days and meanwhile the charges are left on my account and they charge interest and penalties on them as well as refer the account to a third party to follow up and call and text me. The advise to ignore this ( which is hard to do) comes from them. In spite also of several complaints about this they still continue to ignore me cannot do the investigation and then keep following me up. I will be closing my account when the fraudulent charges are cancelled as the procedures with this bank are not customer orientated. I have had the card over 10 years and in that time never had a problem paid on time every month and spent a considerable amount of money via the card .

I need to advise that the website is www.security bank.com.ph and contact is customercontact but that when using this in reporting an experience it would not accept this Domain?
