Ordered a table and 2 benches in June. Still have not received them in the middle of September. Just now realised the website is down. Utterly, utterly let down. Their delivery company has the table and benches, but will not deliver, saying Shabby Bear Cottage is holding them back . . . . . . . I could cry.

Just received a letter to inform me that the company has gone in to liquidation. I have already received my return funds through a Section 75 claim, hopefully this will still apply to anyone who’s not yet reported it to their credit card company.

Firstly the table took months longer than expected to turn up with limited communication from Shabby Bear. When it came it was, on first sight, okay but 2 of the four planks that make the top were starting to crack. One had had extensive filler put into it by SBC. I put the table together and the design means it’s quite wobbly as there no bracing structure.

I messaged SBC to ask for filler for the cracks. It took many messages and weeks and they eventually sent some wax. Completely useless! They agreed and promised filler. None came. In the meantime, the cracks got so bad you can see daylight through them. SBC agreed to replace the table but…

SBC stopped replying to my emails and chat messages completely. No replacement table and no communication at all. So finally, with no other option of SBC sorting this out, I claimed on Section 75 of my credit card and got a full refund.

Exceptionally poor customer service. Order delayed multiple times and I had to chase it up with the company. Eventually arrived but was damaged. Had no response to my emails asking for a replacement or refund. Would not recommend.

Two orders placed in June and July. NO RESPONSE from company despite numerous emails. Today I see their website is taken down and their contact number disconnected. I’d recommend a card chargeback if you are also waiting for delivery from them.

One star as I cant put zero stars. Ordered a coffee table and given 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. Finally arrived after 11 weeks. I sent a great number of emails asking for updates, only one of which was replied to, which informed me that my order was completed and had been collected by their courier for delivery to me. This email, the only one I got, was a lie. I spoke to the courier who confirmed that they had not collected my order from Shabby Bear. It was another two weeks before this actually happened. There's no phone number to contact them and they dont answer emails. This company does not care about its customers once they receive payments. It took a threat to take further action before anything started to progress.
On receiving the table, it is poorly constuctedand although its made of reclaimed wood, this doesn't mean the wood has to be full of cracks, splits, chips and dents, which it is. The under shelf of the table is very rough too, not even sanded down.
A terrible service and a substandard product, will never order from Shabby Bear again. I cant add photos on here but hope to on their website or their Facebook page.
PS,, their website page seems to have gone and only Shabby Bear can add photos to the Facebook page,,, I wonder why??

Order placed for £265.00 and items have not been received, contacted Shabby Bear Cottage numerous times on email and Instagram and I have had no response. Do not order from this company.

My order has not been delivered and I am not getting any response from them. This order was made on 6th July and I have tried to be in contact with them since 16th. When tracking my order via Evri, it stated that my order no longer needed picked up. Luckily my debit card have credited my money back to me.

Don’t bother ordering. Ordered shelves, they did send them but without the brackets that were meant to come with them. Sent me half my order, which I’ve now got to spend more money to get brackets. Emailed them on three separate occasions and no response. So frustrating will never order from them again.

I wish I had read trust pilot before making my purchase!
Communication has been incredibly poor throughout. After numerous emails and phone calls (with the delivery company as I have not had any direct contact with Shabby bear cottage despite asking for a call numerous times), I was repeatedly told my table couldn’t be located, only to suddenly receive a text saying it would be delivered the following day.
When the furniture finally arrived, the order was incorrect. One bench was the wrong size (20cm bigger than the other bench and table so looks ridiculous) and the correctly sized bench is faulty and wobbles. We also discovered that the screws for the bottom plank of the table don’t stay in therefore the table will not go up safely.
Despite reporting these issues immediately and providing evidence, I am still waiting for a response at all, let alone a satisfactory resolution or confirmation of a refund. The lack of communication and after-sales support has been extremely frustrating.
For what should have been an exciting purchase, the entire experience has been stressful and disappointing. I expected far better customer service and quality control. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering. Embarrassing service.

Placed an order on 3rd July, the order confirmation said I would receive by 11th July. I contacted their customer service team on 17th July, and all I got told was that they were checking with the workshop and will get back to me. Still no communication from them. I get an Evri notification saying that a tracking had been generated on 20th July. I then check the tracking on 27th July and it tells me that the parcel no longer needs collecting. Where the hell is my order!
The worst experience I have had in a long time when purchasing online

Ordered and paid for dining table and benches beginning of June, nothing received to date 21st July. There is no telephone number and so far no reply to any emails. UPDATE had an email to say table was ready and it arrived yesterday 25th and looks great. But would still say they need to communicate better with buyers.

amazing quality, I LOVE my new table so much, thank you :) the process took longer but I knew that as it is handmade item, it takes time. Totally worth the wait :)
Now I just need matching shelves hehe

They received the item over a month ago, agreed to the full refund but still no refund. I will be reporting to trading standards tomorrow if I do have proof refund is processed.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Ordered a bespoke bar table nearly 3 months ago. Was told delivery would be 3-4 weeks. No communication after money taken. Only contact is through the Chat facility and even whe I reqested a time for delivery several times, this was not given and was only told the order was in the process of being "fulfilled". After reading reviews on here, I realised I would be waiting for a very long time - so I messaged again and threatened I would contact my credit company to request a charge back on an unfulfilled order. Thank goodness I made payment with a credit card as they have credited me and the order is now cancelled. Shame - because the furniture looked lovely on the website and was fairly reasonably priced but can't recommend because of the terrible customer service and communications. Would advise people to steer clear of this company.

I placed my order (table and bench) months ago and haven’t received either. I’ve followed up multiple times and in response received notifications that the order was shortly to be, or had been, picked up by the courier and that I should hear from them to arrange delivery date… only to hear nothing until I next followed up. Customer service and delivery transparency has fallen short of my expectations and I have cancelled my order.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. We spent a lot of money on a table and bench and it took months to be delivered. It has come today wrapped in CLING FILM and has a stopper missing from one of the legs, the quality of the wood is dreadful and no holes pre drilled to put the legs on. Additionally, the bar which holds the wood together at either end of the table is wonky and not even. The website gives no contact details and when you do email them, they take forever to get back to you. Not holding out any hope of a refund but we will try to pursue it. So disappointed but also annoyed with us for not checking TrustPilot first! I think this is a Chinese company with a fake British name and office? Absolutely terrible quality.

Please be aware this company does not have a phone number & even when requested will not call you, I was really concerned if the company was legit, they will discuss by chat only , having that said the product is lovely and although delivered later than originally notified the couriers were good.

Bought a small double bed. It is fabulous, my daughter really loves it. It's so well built and was packed really well for shipping. Great design too. Simple to put together - took 2 minutes. Would highly recommend.
