Beware of being signed up for the Rewards Program without realizing it. You will be charged $16.99/month to your original form of payment without warning. I think this happened to me when Soft Surroundings offered me 10% off my last offer. It automatically signed me up to this loyalty program from there.

I will never order from soft surroundings again. I ordered the same dress in two sizes. there was absolutely no notification that the dress was on back order. when I expected the dress and it had not been delivered. I checked the online status which told me it was on back order and would not be delivered for 6 months. I had ordered the dress for a wedding and if I had not looked it up I would have never known that it was on back order.p I did cancel these dresses. another item I ordered also came in late. when I returned the dress they deducted the taxes I had paid from my refund and they charged me another $10 for shipping. This totaled $27 deducted from my order customers beware, do not order from soft surroundings!

I returned two items to Soft Surroundings that they received in January. It is now almost April, and they have yet to credit my card. When calling customer service, I am told that they will issue a manual return right away but never do. I've called four times with no success. Additionally, they signed me up for their reward program without my consent and were charging me monthly until I was able to cancel it. I will never do business with Soft Surroundings or their sister company Coldwater Creek again.

I ordered two dresses on Feb. 26th. They looked so cute and friends had purchased in store item when they had stores. I heard nothing from the company expect would be notified when shipped. I sent an email; response was that it would be shipped on 3/20. Nothing, so I called on 3/23 and told would definitely be shipped in 24-48 hours. Nothing, so I called again told they had a new warehouse but would ship by Ap. 3. I canceled the order and will never order from them again. If you actually need something, don't order from Soft Surroundings.

Waited a month for my order and when it came it wasn't what I'd ordered and it was terrible quality. And what a PAIN to return! I had to schlep to my post office and pay for postage, handling, etc. I cancelled another outstanding order. Too early to see if I'll get my money back on either order. I will NEVER order from this company again

My order keeps getting delayed. I ordered items on March 6, 2026. I was notified later the ordered items were ‘in high demand’ and would not ship till March 20. I heard nothing and on March 25, I inquired again. Now I am told, once again, because of the high demand, my order will not be shipped till April 20!!! And I’m not confident that will be happening either. No wonder there are no more brick & mortar stores.

I will not be ordering from Soft Surroundings again. Their website showed the item as available, yet it took over a month to ship. The sizing is completely off, making it difficult to find a proper fit, and the return process is unnecessarily complicated. On top of that, the shipping times are extremely long. Overall, a very frustrating experience.

I am returning a dress that I ordered when a sale was on, but unfortunately it just didn't look that good on me. No issues with the quality or the fabric.
The return form shows a deduction from my refund of 'Taxes and Adjustments', which at first was a little confusing. But a brief call with Customer Service clarified that amount reflects the 20% discount I was given on the original order. The $9.95 return processing fee is clearly indicated and to me was worthwhile for delivery to my door for me to try the items on.
Just wanted to share my positive experience since other comments are quite harsh.

Ordered a dress from Soft Surroyndings on February 22...found out, as of March 24th it still has not been shipped. Apparenrty wont even be shipped until April 10th and then accirding to customer servuce will take another 5 to 8 days to arrive.
Ive had better luck with remote chinese sellers! Are they goung out of business yet?!

At least 4 times I tried to order online. Got all the way to the end and it said error. So I called to do my order. Every time it was a back order. Out of stock.
Used to be a favorite of mine. I would order about 3x a year because it was expensive. I am done. No more

I ordered pants late January and finally got them late March; (3-23-'06) Who's making these pants? Indonesia? Timbuktu?

I placed an order with Soft Surroundings on 3/2/26. I had ordered from them before so did not anticipate any problems. The first issue was that they emailed me on 3/6 (4 days after the order was placed) to verify my information. I was told then the order would be shipped. One of the 3 items I ordered was shipped 3/8. The second item was shipped 3/16. I just called about the third item and was told the item was just processed in the warehouse and I would receive it in 4-8 business days after shipping (they do not have expedited shipping). I ordered these items for a vacation I am leaving for on 3/28, so needless to say I will not have the jacket. Although their website states customers are advised of any delays or backorders, I did not receive any such notifications. This is the last time I will order from Soft Surroundings.

Poor quality, bad fit, $9.95 processing fee to return an item. Don't do it!

I have never received my order and my credit card information was stolen. How can I leave minus review? These clothes cannot be Soft Surroundings. I do hope the Original folks read this. I really would like my money back.

I ordered a sweater on sale on January 21, 2026. Received sweater March 11, 2026.
When I did receive it it was nothing like the online picture. It was quite ugly, very heavy and too small. When I tried to return, it was now marked final sale and could not even talk to anyone about it. I will never buy from them again or any company associated with them.

Orders placed Jan 30 and Feb 11. It is now March 13. I have been charged for both items yet ni shipping has been initiated. Was told first order was a pre-order- hmmm. Guess there was some fine print somewhere? If I could give 0 stars I would!

They said my order would be delivered in 5-7 days. 14 days later, I inquired where my order was. They said it's backordered and should be here in another 3 weeks.

Placed an order 3/1/26. Paid extra for 3 day shipping. It's now 3/12 and I called customer service (in the Philippines) to find out where it is. I was told it is scheduled to leave on 3/20. So the order I placed was a gift and everything was in stock. If it ships on 3/20 it will take another 7-10 days to travel. SO, a month is unacceptable for someone to ship this merchandise. They are awful to deal with. Steer clear.....

I'm not sure when this company began not caring about their products nor their customer service. All the negative reviews here are spot on. Shipping is expensive. Returning something? More high shipping. More importantly if you return something- you will NOT be credited the same amount you paid for the item (should be = product plus taxes). Even when you return items within their return window, they will deduct whatever they want (as extra fees, or whatever) before they credit you back. You won't even understand the amount they credit back - it's a completely different number than what would make sense. I recently purchased a number of tops (after many years of not really buying). The quality (the cut and design) were strange so it didn't sit right on me at all. I returned these tops within the return window, and they took "extra fees" off of every single one. To make it even more confusing, they processed each item as a separate transaction (not by ORDER as is normal) so as each transaction posted, I could not tell what credit (which was too little) was for which top.
It will take way too much time to try to ask them to explain why they shortchanged me, and I have a feeling their customer service will give me lip service and do nothing to remedy the situation. I think this is actually HOW they operate, the processes and the culture come from the top. I will never purchase from Soft Surroundings again. There are many better places to spend your money - they don't really offer anything you couldn't find a similar item elsewhere. Their prices are also not "so low you can't resist". I had no idea their service became so scammy until I had this bad experience then came here to share my experience and saw many others had the same. They have lost me as a customer.

Buyers, don’t do it. Items get back ordered VERY QUICKLY. I’ve been waiting for nearly a month. I paid for two day shipping. Nope.
