Soundbetter is a great platform that makes hiring an audio pro very easy. The offers are well diversified and, so far, I had nothing but great experiences when hiring a musician.

Easy to communicate with client but hard to find information on how the company handles VAT between providers and clients.

I think it is phenomenal that you have created a buffet style space where links of professionalism is tangible and working with the best so you sound the best becomes a reality. Being able to go directly to the source while still at the convenience of your own home or while traveling is a huge plus! Thank you for making this available and am so glad I SOUND BETTER!

I’m a big fan of the sites concept of bringing musicians & clients together. For regular users the system works well, but for new users, a better prompt/ reminder system would make the experience a lot better.

I am tired and extremely disappointed with my experience using SoundBetter.

We paid for professional mixing services for our music, expecting a professional standard of work. Unfortunately, the mix we received was not acceptable to us- There were noticeable issues with the sound, including distortion, and we did not feel the finished work was of a standard we could use for our release. basically the mixer/even though we gave a full and details of how we wanted the music to sound, when it was sent back to us, it was so poor, my word..

We raised our concerns and, after experiencing problems with the mix, made the decision not to continue with the service. We were not asking for anything unreasonable; we simply wanted a fair resolution after paying for a service that we felt had not been delivered to an acceptable professional standard.

What has been particularly frustrating is the handling of the dispute. We have been left feeling that the customer has very little protection when a service does not meet reasonable expectations.What has made this experience even more disappointing is the way our dispute and request for our money back have been handled.

As UK consumers, we understand that services are subject to statutory protections under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including Section 49, which requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill. The Act also provides remedies where a service does not meet the required standard, including repeat performance and, in appropriate circumstances, a price reduction under Sections 55 and 56.
We have now paid money for mixing that we cannot use, while also potentially having to find and pay another professional to mix our music properly. That means we are effectively paying twice for the same service. This is absolutely disgusting. We have just been waiting around and delayed; it has been very traumatising for all of us

This has been an extremely disappointing experience, and I would strongly encourage other artists to make sure they understand exactly what protection they have if they are unhappy with the work they receive.

For independent artists putting their own money into their music, this is not a small matter. Every pound matters, and we should be able to expect a professional service and a fair dispute process.

had an incredibly frustrating experience working with producer Robert L. Smith. I hired him to take my original demo and elevate it using world-class session players, explicitly instructing him to keep the core structure of the song intact. Instead, he completely ignored my directions. He refused to follow the brief every time I brought it up, and to make matters worse, he lied about using real session musicians when he actually just used programmed instruments.When I reached out to SoundBetter about the issue, they told me they would look into things, but they completely ignored me and never got back to me. If you are looking for a producer who listens to your vision or a platform that supports its users when things go wrong, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The communication tools are smooth, and the entire process from receiving a client's audio file to delivering the final work is completely frictionless. It is truly the best space for independent music professionals to grow their business safely.

The intention is good, but I found the website very difficult to maneuver. In particular, I was never sure if a message was actually sent after the first one. Sometimes vocalist would not respond responded immediately and perhaps they did receive a text, but I was never sure and it was frustrating. Sometimes this happened even after I was in a conversation. A notification on follow up messages that XXX received your text would be helpful.

This is probably my error, but I never saw my job in the job section and I don’t know the purpose of that page.

SoundBetter certainly earned its name when they delivered our song with the powerful vocals of Christian Erik and the musical/production talents of Lewis Richards. This is a premier company with incredibly talented folks as part of its ranks.--Larry Holden

My son is working with Lisa C and it went great just what we were looking for to help him advance his music career. She is very thoughtful and insightful as well as patient and understanding. This was our first experience with SoundBetter and it was outstanding.

Great service, easy and proffesional

I wrote a song and didn’t know where to begin to find studio musicians to bring it to life. I searched and found Soundbetter. At first viewing all the profiles and styles of musicians was a little overwhelming, after all I am not a musician. After listening to a few and carefully reading profiles, I chose Joel. He was truly collaborative and extremely talented and creative. He really listened to my “vision” for the song and I felt like he really understood my point of view. He brought the song to life just the way I had imagined and I know it will be something that is treasured. I felt like I was given personal attention and that how I felt really mattered. I’m sure the musicians are wonderful but I am so happy to have chosen Joel. He’s amazing!

Holy shit this sounds ass, Never buy from here. Took 3 days, i could do better in 15 minutes.

How the hell is this business still up and running? It is a literal scam-show. A race to the bottom. I have only ever been fully fully ripped off by producers and mix engineers on here. They'll commit to a project and then completely underdeliver or take 10+ weeks to make a first pass at a mix. They take your money up front and then do absolutely nothing. Read reddit, there is, again, endless reports of similar happening to people. Do NOT believe the 4.6 rating on here. Please please avoid it at all costs. Do your research and find local or reputable producers.
