Craig and his team did a terrific job on my loft extension and roof terrace, from the initial drawings right through to the final dab of paint. They were very patient and flexible through the spring lockdown, and when I was eventually ready for the work to start it was done efficiently and professionally. The project manager gave a clear idea of progress throughout, and was unfailingly good humoured. Most tellingly, I think, I had no complaints from the neighbours!

I can not rate south London lofts highly enough there are very professional from the start right to the end and beyond . We had our loft started at the end of January and was completed in March this year and was finished on time , I’m not going to lie we had a small hiccup whilst they were building it with an excepted downpour of rain over one weekend which caused a leak into the conservatory and lounge , but with one call to Paul our project manager and within an hour on a Sunday morning the builders were here to rectify the problem. We have now had our loft for 6 months and we have one issue with a leaking bath of which again was dealt with quickly and efficiency also we had an issue with our roof which had nothing to do with what SLL had done but they very kindly sent there roofer to take a look and help me stop the leak and at no cost .like I said I can not rate them highly enough in fact my daughter and son in law are about to move into their new home next week and have already instructed to have SLL install their new loft exstenion at the end of October this year

We had nothing but a positive experience over the duration of the works. All the workers were very helpful and extremely hardworking individuals. At the end of every day they tidied up leaving everything clean ready for the next day. Our family are full of praise for the finish product and would always highly recommend South London Lofts in the future.

Our building project is yet to be completed after almost 8 months. We had a loft extension and re-configure of the kitchen. Unfortunately the structural engineers drawings we provided were not consulted and we have been left with structural damage to our house as a supporting beam was removed without the proper support. We requested an independent structural engineer report to be commissioned by SLL. This was duly provided although the ‘independent’ structural engineer until recently had the same registers address as SLL and was an ex employee of an company that was run by SLL directors. The saga continues, I am massively out of pocket and my house had higher structural issues that will cost thousands to rectify. Please take this as a word of warning. This has hugely impacted both mine and my husbands health and i would never want another family to go through the trauma we have and continue to do so.

**Update in response to the reply below - a full tender pack was provided to South London Lofts before they were engaged. This included a full set of architect drawings and a full set of structural engineers drawings. These drawings have since been provided to separate structural engineer by South London Lofts who has asked in his report why they were not adhered to.

After almost 12 months of hell we have now found out our kitchen won’t pass building control as engineers plans were ignored, literally don’t know where to go from here. Please don’t put yourselves or your families through this

***17 months on we are still going and still don’t have building control and still getting abuse.

We had south london lofts do our conversion and they were excellent throughout. A special mention to them adapting to changes to the specification without a problem and being able to complete the work through the challenge of COVID.
We are very happy with the end product and the speed and quality of the work. Paul in particular who managed our project was very communicatie throughout.

We cannot fault our experience with South London Lofts, from our initial consultation with Brian Myers to the final build. We would not consider using anyone else for building projects as they are simply the best.

The loft team did an outstanding job and very please with the outcome.

We used SLL in the summer of 2019 for a dormer loft conversion and couldn’t be happier. Brian was personable, the price was competitive, and the whole team were efficient and hard working. The builders even worked their short lunch breaks around our daughter’s naps and did quieter jobs when she was asleep. We are very happy with the conversion, and I would highly recommend them.

I decided to work with South London Lofts on our project, I found Craig easy to work with, the consultation regarding the property was clear and we’ll presented. The price was competitive, plus I felt secure working with them as they have been around for around 20 years. I’d heard about them from other projects carried out nearby and also online, particularly through Instagram, which I use a lot, they have a lot of projects filmed & posted here....many of which are in progress, so you can see how the projects are built from start to finish
We have another project coming up and we’ll be very happy to work with them again...I highly recommend their work 👍🏻

I would strongly recommend South London Lofts, they recently completed our loft Extension comprising of one very large bedroom a large bathroom and a walk in wardrobe all trades were excellent and all run smoothly from Brian coming to estimate then the Architect doing the design and Paul was our project manager and he kept us informed every step of the way, from scaffold to being erected to the end sign off, we had one little issue which was a roof leak during the torrential rain and one call to Paul and he sent the guys straight over on a Sunday morning to resolve the issue.
Very happy with our new rooms and the overall experience.

We’ve recently completed our loft conversion (master bed with en suite). The build process took 12 weeks, everything was carried out to a high standard. I know this because external tradesmen came to quote for flooring/decorating they all commented on how good the loft looked compared to some others they had seen.
Brian (sales) was always on hand to help with any issues that arose and ensured they were solved promptly. Eg, we had a few leaks before the roof work could be done, they sent someone over straight away who laid three layers of tarpaulin. My electrics short circuited, they sent someone within the hour.
All the tradesmen were on time, hard working, and friendly. I had a lot of ideas that I wanted implement, which were never a problem.
I would definitely recommend SLL to anyone, they provide the whole service and work very quickly. What more could you ask for?!

I used SLL to create my loft conversion with main bedroom and en-suite. The overall experience was very good and the project was finished quickly. The team were friendly and communication was good. It was great to have one company handle everything for me from start to finish. They were flexible with start date and accommodating my requirements. They were also quick to react when a autumnal storm ripped through the house half way through the project, so minimal damage was caused. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a loft conversion.
Last thing to note, you do still need to leave yourself a 10% contingency for additional extras you may not realise are excluded in the standard quote, as the guys will complete all construction but all decoration, additional finishes, specialist materials, flooring etc is all extra and down to you to budget for. We used South London Lofts to do our loft conversion. They dealt with the whole process from quotation to completion seamlessly, including design, planning and building control. The quality of work is outstanding and South London Lofts and its contractors were extremely professional. We would not hesitate in using them again.

Had a loft conversion done by SLL back in 2013 Craig knew his stuff and the pricing was very competitive i think his quote was actually the cheapest ,The work was completed to a very high standard and the workforce were polite,hardworking (no smoke breaks every 15mins!) and kept the place tidy while the work was being done ,I sold the property recently and had misplaced my paperwork ,Building Completion Certificate ,Electrical Compliance Certificate Etc one call to Craig and the paperwork was in my inbox within 2hrs so the after sales service is top notch and i will be using SLL again once i have purchased my new property and i would definitely recommend Craig and his team

South London Lofts is only a sales organisation. The work used to be done by the sister company Build London now shutdown. Please search for reviews of them also.

My loft was completed in early 2018. I delayed writing the review pending any warranty issues. Sadly I am now unable to review the full experience here due to Trustpilots requirement only to refer to experiences within the last 12 months. So this only covers my warranty experience. I will attempt to post the full review elsewhere.

Some months after completing the build the shower installed by them started to leak around the sides and bottom of the shower screen. Gaps also started to appear in the sealant around the shower tray. These were not the type of issues you would expect from normal movement following a timber based build.

It would have been a simple job to reseal it. Perhaps even for goodwill They refused saying they don’t guarantee sealant! Also trying to blame it on normal settlement. There were other gaps around the rest of the shower room which appeared which could be blamed on that. I would have been happy to have a conversation about that rather than just blanket refusal to get involved.

The ten year warranty itself is unusable. There is a large deposit to be paid upfront before any warranty work is considered. If it is deemed to be covered then that deposit goes towards payment. I ignored this and used the consumer rights act 2015. Still to no avail.

I wish I had kept a retainer for at least six months. Don’t use this company unless you have good building technical skills or are a surveyor or architect or close to one. If you do, be prepared to get external quotes at numerous points during the project.

SSL converted our loft two years ago and we were so impressed that we having them back to do a kitchen extension!
They were reliable, clean, tidy, helpful and very knowledgable in the work that they done!
Brian and Craig were very easy to deal with and always at hand if needed!
