Just because this was the first flight to Gorakhpur for the day, I rushed from Dubai to ensure I arrived at the airport on time. I reached the airport around 12:00 noon. The flight was scheduled to depart at 2:30 PM; however, it was delayed by nearly four hours and finally departed at 6:15 PM.
What if someone had a medical emergency? What if a passenger had an important event, meeting, or family commitment to attend? Who is accountable for these constant delays with SpiceJet, especially considering the number of similar complaints and reviews from other passengers?
Why was accurate and timely information not shared with passengers? The aircraft was already parked at around 2:20 PM, so why did it take almost four more hours for the fuel bowser to arrive and refuel the aircraft?
Passengers deserve transparency, timely updates, and accountability. Who is answerable for this unacceptable delay and the inconvenience caused to hundreds of travelers?

Extremely disappointing experience with SpiceJet. Our flight from Bagdogra to Delhi was delayed twice, first from 11:00 AM to 1:05 PM and then to 1:45 PM. Despite reaching the airport and making every effort to board, airport staff wasted valuable time repeatedly calling their seniors instead of taking a quick decision.
By the time they finished, the aircraft door had already been closed, even though the scheduled departure time was 1:45 PM. The flight delays disrupted our travel plans, and the lack of coordination and accountability at the airport ensured that we missed the flight.
Poor management, poor customer handling, and a highly frustrating experience.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences with SpiceJet. The airline's support team was unhelpful, difficult to reach, and showed very little concern for resolving customer issues. Simple queries took far too long to address, and when I finally got a response, it felt like I was being passed from one representative to another without any real solution.
The lack of communication and professionalism was frustrating. As a paying customer, I expected basic courtesy and assistance, but instead I was met with delays, vague answers, and poor follow-up. It seemed like customer satisfaction was not a priority at all.
While flight schedules and operations can sometimes face challenges, there is no excuse for such poor customer support. A company is judged not only by its services but also by how it treats its customers when problems arise. Unfortunately, SpiceJet failed on both counts in my experience.
I would think twice before flying with SpiceJet again and would not recommend it to anyone who values reliable customer service. ★☆☆☆☆
Avoid SpiceJet! Cruel and Pathetic Service
SpiceJet turned our journey into an absolute nightmare, showing zero basic humanity or professionalism. Here is what they did:
1. Abandoned After 6-Hour Waiting (04 June): Checked in at Srinagar at 12:00 PM for SG 475. After trapping us for 6 hours, they cancelled the flight at dusk. No staff helped. As a foreigner, I had to scramble completely alone in the dark to find an emergency hotel and vehicle.
2. Endless Rolling Delays (04 and 05 June): Returned for our rescheduled flight (SG 161) only to be hit with a brutal 5 to 6-hour delay. Our entire day was wasted on airport benches with zero updates.
3. Cruel Family Separation & Extortion: My family fell suddenly ill. Despite traveling with a child on the same PNR, the counter staff flatly refused to seat us together unless we paid extra fees. When we refused this extortion for a mess they created, they split us up into separate rows, leaving my sick family separated during the flight.
4. Unprofessional Behaviour of Ground Crew: The staff at the Srinagar counter—specifically a female agent and Mr. Adil Kabir—showed complete contempt. The female agent maliciously separated our seats without even informing us beforehand. They have zero empathy.
SpiceJet is a scam, not an airline. They take your money, cancel flights, strand foreigners, and extort you when your family is sick. Never book with them.
SpiceJet Cancelled My Flight and Failed to Process Refund Promptly
Extremely disappointed with SpiceJet's handling of my booking.
My Jaipur–Mumbai flight SG 291 scheduled for 30 May 2026 was cancelled by the airline just 3 days before departure, causing significant inconvenience and disruption to my travel plans. Despite the cancellation being initiated by the airline, I have still not received my refund even after repeated follow-ups and a considerable waiting period.
What is most frustrating is not just the cancellation, but the lack of timely resolution and customer support regarding the refund. Airlines expect passengers to comply with strict payment and check-in deadlines, yet when it comes to refunding customers' money, the same urgency appears to be missing.
Passengers deserve transparency, accountability, and prompt refunds when flights are cancelled by the airline. Holding customers' money for months after cancelling a flight is unacceptable and reflects poorly on customer service standards.
I hope SpiceJet resolves this matter immediately and improves its refund process so that other passengers do not face similar difficulties.

Very disappointing experience with SpiceJet. They changed the flight timings three times, with the final change made just one day before departure. I specifically booked this flight from Mumbai to avoid a connecting flight; otherwise, I could have booked an IndiGo flight from Pune that was ₹10,000 cheaper.
To make matters worse, my return flight was originally a direct flight when I booked it, but it was changed to a connecting flight just one day before departure. This caused significant inconvenience and disrupted my travel plans.
I would not recommend choosing this airline due to its frequent last-minute schedule changes.

Don't go for cheap ticket price, they will extort more during your journey
The only airline in India which will start weighing bags right at time of boarding and then charging Rs 750 per kg of overweight even if there is no check-in luggage. Other airlines also weigh, but give an option to send the luggage to checkin.
I had no check-in and only 3kgs additional as i bought something from airport and now I had to pay Rs 2250 extra..almost 30% passengers had gone through this. They catch you when you have no option to go back to checkin counter.
And the way they ask is mannerless. Some people were unwilling to shell this much money. To which the staff showed them dustbin and asked throw it there.
And this happened on a flight which was 4 hours delayed.
Spicejet can delay flight with no obligation and apology, but they will get you to a situation where you end up paying 4-5K additional for no reason

I am extremely disappointed with my experience flying with SpiceJet. This has been one of the most frustrating airline experiences I have ever had.
1. The flight from Mumbai to Dubai was initially delayed by over 2 hours without proper communication.
2. After passengers had already boarded the aircraft, we were informed that there was an engine issue and the aircraft required repairs. This is a serious safety concern and should have been addressed before boarding passengers.
3. We have now been stuck inside the aircraft for more than 3 additional hours waiting for departure, causing immense discomfort, stress, and uncertainty.
4. To make matters worse, I learned that similar flight cancellations and disruptions had occurred on this route over the previous two days as well. This raises serious concerns about operational planning and reliability.
5. My previous SpiceJet journey was equally disappointing. The Dubai-to-Mumbai flight involved an extremely long and poorly managed check-in queue, resulting in unnecessary delays and inconvenience.
6. The condition of the aircraft itself was below acceptable standards. Several tray table handles were broken, reflecting poor maintenance and a lack of attention to passenger comfort.
7. During my earlier flight from Dubai to Mumbai, the cabin air conditioning was switched off during landing, leading to a suffocating and highly uncomfortable environment for passengers.
Overall, this experience demonstrates poor operational management, inadequate passenger communication, questionable maintenance standards, and a lack of concern for customer comfort. Passengers deserve better treatment, especially when paying for a service that should prioritize safety, reliability, and basic comfort.
I sincerely hope SpiceJet takes immediate corrective action and provides affected passengers with a proper explanation, compensation, and assurance that such incidents will not be repeated.

No refund after cancelation from SpiceJat
My flight to DHM (SG 2941) in March was cancelled by SpiceJet. I had even purchased cancellation insurance—an extra cost I had to pay out of pocket. SpiceJet's website confirms the cancellation and states that I would receive approximately €500.00 within 7 days. Now, two months later, no refund has yet arrived from SpiceJet. Beware! Never use spicejet flight
Unfortunately very disappointed with SpiceJet’s handling of my booking (PNR: EED1VG ) for from Dubai to Kochi 10th July 2026.
The airline cancelled the flight citing “airspace restrictions” and sent an automated message asking passengers to rebook using a link that showed absolutely no alternate flights available. Despite the cancellation being entirely initiated by SpiceJet.
After multiple emails and follow-ups, no reply, SpiceJet has still no refund timeline or even a proper response.
An airline should take responsibility when it cancels flights, especially international routes.

Booked a flight for £103 and got an email saying they've had to cancel my booking and offered me a refund or a flight the next day.
I needed to leave on my original day so looked at alternative flights and imagine my surprise that my original flight was still scheduled but now they want £160 for it.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent travel experience under PNR IKYMME.
My original flight was scheduled from Mumbai to Bengaluru. However, upon arrival at the airport, ground staff informed me that the flight was likely to be delayed or cancelled. I was subsequently diverted to Chennai, which resulted in a significant disruption to my schedule and forced me to make alternative travel arrangements at my own expense.
Despite these circumstances, I was not provided with any accommodation during the transit. To reach my final destination, I was forced to book a flight with a different airline and subsequently had to purchase a train ticket from Chennai to Bengaluru.
I have attached all supporting documentation to this email for your review, including:
- The original boarding pass (Mumbai to Bengaluru)
- The new boarding pass (Mumbai to Chennai)
- The train ticket from Chennai to Bengaluru
- A screenshot of the flight delay notification sent by the airline
