Staffturk Kennel: A Tragic Saga of Deception and Animal Neglect
Hello. On the morning of October 1, 2022, I adopted a 3.5-month-old Blue Staffy from Staffturk Kennel farm. The farm owners handed over the puppy to me along with 4-5 pills, saying, "Maybe he got overheated in the sun." When I asked for the reason, they said so. When I took the puppy home, he had wounds, hair loss, and bald spots on his tail, back, and certain parts of his body. I sent the photos to Staffturk owners, and they said, "Buy Oceral spray from the pharmacy and apply it to the tail." At that time, I didn't know that Oceral spray was used for fungal treatment. Much later, when I researched, I found out that this spray is used for fungal diseases. My dog was delivered to me with a fungal infection and illness. It was my first dog, so I trusted the farm owners and made a mistake.
In addition to all this, my dog had intense itching, excessive shedding, aggression, depression, and eating feces problems, so I contacted them again. They said, "Bring the dog, let's keep him for a week." After a week, I picked up my dog, and they returned him with the same problems, without any improvement. I had thought they would take him to a vet, but there was no progress. They also said they couldn't deliver the dog because his bed and some toys were destroyed. In short, the only reason my dog stayed there was to keep him away from me and prevent my complaints.
At that time, I worked from home, so I took extra care of my dog. I hoped that he would get better as he grew older, but everything got worse day by day. Finally, last month, I called them and told them I was dissatisfied. The farm owners said, "Come, let us keep your dog as a guest for another week." I didn't want this because there was no improvement last time. I agreed because they said, "We will take him to a vet," etc. When I went to pick up my dog a week later, his face and ears were still covered in blood. While my dog was under their control, he jumped on my little cousin and scratched his face. I saw that his stress level had increased because he had been kept in a cage for a week for no reason. On top of everything, they said, "We couldn't take your dog to the vet." I reminded them of the promise they made, but they didn't respond. They said they could give me the address of the vet they mentioned if I wanted to take him there. Since it was about my dog's health again, I took him to the vet. They prescribed a bunch of medications, just like the previous veterinarians. I'm sure even someone with 4-5 dogs wouldn't have paid the fees I paid to the vets.
I chose Staffturk Kennel farm to avoid such problems. I went to them with the idea of having a special dog that wouldn't cause any trouble, but it turned out to be the opposite. If I had known it would be like this, I would have adopted a dog from a shelter and saved a homeless dog's life. As a last resort, the farm owners offered us to "rehome your dog if you want." This offer seemed ridiculous to me. If my dog would have recovered, I would have rehomed him a long time ago. Is the goal here for my dog to recover or to prevent the dog you sold from complaining about you?
In short, since I got my dog, everywhere in my house is covered in fur. Despite going to many vets, his face and eyes are covered in blood due to itching. The fungal disease causes extra itching and restlessness, loss of appetite, and depression, so my dog's mental state is also deteriorated. Nevertheless, I will take care of my dog and raise him under good conditions. Rehoming is not an option. I advise people who will adopt a dog from Staffturk Kennel to read this post. Don't rely on the videos and photos. Talk directly to people before adoption to get accurate information. Make sure the person you're talking to is not someone close to the farm owners to obtain the correct information.
I created a website specifically for this issue. You can reach it by typing staffturksikayet.com On this website, you can find detailed photos, videos, etc., of everything I described. The website currently does not have an English version, but I will be launching it very soon.
