No delivery of goods

There have been issues with the delivery of two beds which I ordered 19 days ago.l from Stompa.

My sons have no beds to sleep in so they are having to stay with their grandparents. When you call the company to check the status of the delivery you get a response that the courier company is small and that the folks are not available at the moment.

Also that someone will call you back the same day to confirm a new delivery date. However the call back NEVER happens. When I call again the next day the operator answering is annoyed that I’m still calling to find out the expected delivery date of my order.

I’m over £2,000 out of pocket with no beds to show for it. The least I could expect is a little courtesy instead of being continuously fobbed off. If they say that are going to ring you back and then don’t what am I supposed to think?

We have since extended our delivery lead times temporarily while our partner works to restore their usual service levels.

Good quality products and very prompt…

Good quality products and very prompt delivery. We opted to have the beds built (high sleeper and mid sleeper) and are very glad we did. There was one small problem with the size of the mattress but speaking with Stompa (Mike) the problem was resolved with no fuss and just added to my thoughts on the quality of service. Would thoroughly recommend.

Shoddy product, even worse service

Bought a bunk bed in May. Ladder damaged. Whilst waiting for this to be replaced, a huge crack appears in another part of the bed, despite being slept in by a light 7 year old and 4 year old. Now the top bunk is unusable. Still being mucked around for a date when they can come and out sort the problem. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

As an update since your reply: I am STILL waiting for a useable bed. Another was due to be delivered on Friday. Just had a lovely text to say it'a no longer coming. My 4 year old has been unable to sleep in her room since May as only one bunk can currently be used. Utterly disgraceful

John Lewis V Stompa….

I ordered a bunkbed from John Lewis and wanted it delivered whilst I was in cornwall. John lewis were not able to help me at all sadly. So I decided to message Stompa direct. I was absolutely thrilled to reach a wonderful team and so very helpful and understanding. Jamie Mosley was fantastic. He sorted everything out and made my life so much easier. Very Pleased with Uno S Midsleeper incl. Pull Out Desk & Cube Unit

Was looking for a midsleeper cabin bed for my son who is migrating out of a cot bed, and multiple people recommended Stompa. Website is super easy to use and there are a wide variety of beds, and setups for storage and desk layouts under the bed which is great for maximising room for the many things that accompany children!

Selected the Uno S Midsleeper incl. Pull Out Desk & Cube Unit and placed order expecting this to take 2-3 weeks. We were pleasantly suprised to receive a call the following day to confirm the order and schedule delivery within 2 days, which lead to a very excited young boy telling everyone about when his new bed arriving!!

Delivery team were great, arrived as scheduled and helped to deliver the bed boxes to the destination room. Bed pieces were packaged nicely with protective layers and there was no damage to any of the panels!

Assembley was super easy, with clear and thorough instructions, and required a mixture of alan key and philips screwdriver tools. All the screws and dowels come in a bag. It took around an hour and a half just me to assemble (with dinner in the middle)!

Finished product is of an excellent quality and is very sturdy. I would highly recommend Stompa for anyone looking for a cabin bed, and my daughter now wants one, so we will be returning to order another!

Very happy with our High Sleeper

Bought a High Sleeper with desk and pull out chair/ bed. It is excellent, my daughter (12) loves it as do we all. Delivery was very quick and communication has been top notch. One thing to reflect on is whether to pay for Stompa to build it for you. I am an OK at best DIYer and have built many flat pack furniture. There are a lot of pieces to this particular puzzle. My daugther and I invested a good amount of time in the preparation - laying out all the pieces and labelling each one etc. We ensured we had no time pressures and plenty of room. The instructions were very clear and the result is a rock-solid bed. It took us the best part of the day as we were very methodical and careful with our process. So, would I pay for construction? Well, I'm very happy with the day I had because my daughter took a full part in it and we had a great time together. Had she not wanted to, then I would have been very happy to pay for it to be built by the Stompa team as I think their price of (currently) £99 is a fair amount.

In short:
- rock solid bed,
- looks great,
- we all love it,
- excellent comms from the Stompa team,
- very quick delivery,
- we had a fun time putting it together, but do consider paying for construction as it will take a few hours/ best part of a day to put together.

Great bed and customer service

Fantastic customer service and am really pleased with the quality of, and my little one’s new bed looks and functions! (as is he!)

This bed was delivered within a week (a special request fulfilled), the assembly team were knowledgable and very efficient. No complaints at all, only compliments! Thankyou.

Great quality and a great service

Just bought a small double bed with mattress. The bed is very robust and good quality. The mattress perfect. Communication was responsive & although i had an email saying 2-3 weeks until delivery, it actually came in 4 days! I highly recommend Stompa products & their service.

Only lasted a few weeks

Do you know what would be more comfortable throwing some LEGOs on the ground putting a T-shirt over top of it and trying to go to bed laying on top of this that's essentially what this mattress is
I weigh 200lb I'm a male and laying on my side my hips would go to the slats while reading to my daughter.
The mattresses it the worst thing ever roll off an assembly line. Its such a P.O.S. I could see it being band in china for how horrible it is.

I spent 10 years of my life travelling the world living in hostels some as cheap as £1 a night and never once did i something god awful.

Poor quality kids mattresses

Ordered 2 s flex airflow pocket sprung mattresses for my kids and they are awful. After 48 hours they still hadn’t fully expanded leaving the outer cover baggy and creased under movement. There were deep creases in every corner of the foam where the mattress had been in the box. These creases did not expand at all after being out of the box for 48 hours. I ordered through a 3rd party company but will be requesting a return and refund!

Fantastic quality product

Fantastic quality product! We had a small issue with the stitching on the cushion covers and Jamie in customer services went above and beyond to not only rectify it but to get me the replacement the next day in time for my daughters birthday. Excellent customer service

I bought a mattress for my daughter based on a lot of research, and although the stompa was great quality she found it uncomfortable. Andrew went out of his way to work out the best mattress for her needs and without quibble sent me out a replacement of a different style for her to try out. The new mattress is a game changer as she’s sleeping much better than before. It was refreshing to speak with someone who seemed to genuinely have their customer’s best interests at heart.

Ordered a Stompa Low end double +…

Ordered a Stompa Low end double + mattress for my teenage daughter in grey. She absolutely loves her new bed and also finds her mattress so comfortable so much so we struggle to get her out of bed in the mornings 😀.

My dealings with Stompa and their delivery company have exceeded my expectations. Thanks to Jamie for your advice when I got bit lost in assembling the bed.
