Having noticed a Stressless sofa in the furniture store and found it to be so smart, well made and comfortable we purchased two! for our new home where they now proudly sit, and so do we.
Stressless is simply quality furniture built and finished to a high standard.

Delivered on time and good product

When I tried the Fiona sofa in the store I was very impressed by the comfort of it with great lumbar support.
However at home, sitting for longer, I find the seats far too hard. I have spinal stenosis and herniated discs and the pressure of the seat on the nerve running through the buttock is really painful. The pain has been increasing since getting the sofa so now after two weeks I can hardly walk.
I am so disappointed and upset that after spending £2,500 I can't use the sofa.

I purchased a Mayfair office chair from T R Hayes of Bath. Firstly it came with some self assembly, not unusual for office chairs, but this chair was usually difficult.The instructions were virtually useless and it was impossible, once I had worked out how to do it, to fit the backrest to the seat base single handed.
So, a 30 mile round trip to the supplier where 2 men quickly achieved it without damaging the chair.
I returned home and proceeded to assemble the base and install the arm rests, no problem.
Then as per instructions dropped the assembled seat onto the gas filled strut, again, no problem.
But, I can't raise the seat from its lowest position. So, consulted the supplier again. Possibly there was a plastic cap on the gas filled strut which should have been removed before assembly.
So, consulted Stressless website and attempted to remove the strut from the seat base without success.
So, how having to do another 30 mile trip to see if supplier can sort the problem.
Hopefully they can, but my confidence in Stressless products has been sadly dented. Previously very happy but no more. I expected better for the substantial cost of the chair.
