Terrible customer service and products
This company unfortunately has low quality products and a terrible return policy and customer service. Do not buy from them! I’ve purchased two things from them now, both had issues and one was very different than pictured on the website. Then I was unable to return the products and had to use store credit for another item that was of similar low quality. Sad to have not known how terrible of a shopping experience this would have been before hand. Hoping to save others the headache.
Insane protocols
Insane protocols. They will not let you make changes to or cancel an order even seconds after placing it. They’ll sit with your order in their warehouse and write to you that they can’t help you and you’ll simply need to exchange it when they ship it to you.
Stay away - deceptive return policy
After seeing ads on Instagram, I decided to try this company. Before buying, I made sure to check that they accept returns. Their website says they do. While shopping the website has a big banner telling me to enter a sale code for 25% off. I ended up spending $275.
All the bathing suits were not flattering on me. I imagine they would work on another body type but not me.
When I went to return, it wouldn't let me and said everything was final sale, store credit only. After talking to their customer service they linked me to fine print on their FAQ page that says using a sale code makes your item ineligible for returns. I can't use a store credit. Nothing fits me from this place.
This is a deceptive company. They intentionally try to trick you with their interface. Stay away.

I happened to purchase $300 with three items that have to be exchanged or returned due to the larger size:
-two different sizes of bathing suites as you never know how they will fit. Upon arrival, I found out that chosen design is a bit too heavy (as it is double-sided + bow >>> looks great but simply too heavy)+ it doesn't fit me as desired (looks big on me) + you can see the inside layer seams. Overall, great idea and material, but I would rather return it. Well, not so fast!!! Exchange only!!! Now I realized, I am stuck with two bathing suits that I don't like.
- meanwhile, the third item that was slightly large as well got sold out of the smaller size for the exchange.
I invested almost $300 in their products and got nothing for it, but headaches and unwanted items.
But wait it gets better >>> when you are going to exchange for something else >>> they don't give you the option to check the size of the items that you exchanging for (I can see the next disaster happening). Interesting fact, I opened another page and started a new cart >>> guess what, size that I was looking for is available there for purchase and is on sale. How is it possible???
By the way, they sell their products on Amazon with exchanges and returns.
So, it's okay to run over and push products onto a customer, but they can't dictate their policies to big companies such as Amazon.
Extremely disappointed, even more, disappointed to find out that their head coder is located in my town.
Do not buy anything from this company >>> they have to fix their act and do right by the customers.

Totally dissatisfied with your return process. You guys act like a mom and pop shop. So I have to send this back and hopefully it’s in stock when you get it back. If it’s not you better refund me if you wanna learn with customer service is try Amazon. I can’t believe you want to charge my credit card again for the replacement order and then wait to get the other one back for credit. You guys really don’t know what you’re doing a business.

There is no customer service other than email. Not even chat, which is bizarre. Trying to exchange - have to do store credit only due to sale - and I am supposed to have an email with the code once the return package is on it's way. I have no credit and may have to wait three days for an email response. Meanwhile the items sitting in my cart may sell out. I almost considered buying them anyway, but I don't want to go through this again. It shouldn't be this complicated to return or exchange an item.

Comfy, stylish loungewear but the black faded very quickly. I only wear now as a last resort.

The company was impossible to get in touch with--no humans available. It was impossible to complete the exchange of my purchase for the same items in a different size.
Neutral experience
I wanted to give the brand a try as they have such unique styles that I haven't seen anywhere else. I followed the size chart as it was my first time ordering from this company and even sized down as recommended but the swimsuit was still too loose on me and didn't offer any kind of support. For some reason they don't offer exchanges for international orders so the only thing I could do was send it back and pay the shipping fee which I knew about going into this, I've read their return conditions. The shipping was fast and they returned my money soon after accepting the parcel. I also have to say the swimsuit did look like the pictures and the fabric seemed nice quality but I think I'll stick to local brands next time, their sizing is all off and I don't want to spend this much money on shipping if I can't be sure the item will fit.

I ordered two costumes from Summersalt and loved the designs but stupidly hadn’t noticed that their sizes are US and not UK so both were too big.
It was frustrating to learn that they don’t offer exchanges on international orders, but I returned the costumes (paying for postage) and was refunded without any trouble.
I reordered a costume in the correct size and love it.

They do not send you your money back when you return an item! Such terrible customer service. BE BETTER AT YOUR JOB!
Great customer service
Have had nothing but positive experiences and interactions with Summersalt. I don't leave reviews unless I've had an exceptionally good or bad experience; in this case, it's definitely the former. Was surprised to see the poor reviews-- they must've gotten their act together since?
Customer service was extremely helpful in finding a size, and tremendous when a I had a few shipping problems (responsive, quick to go the extra mile even though the problems were on the end of the shipping service).
Items I've purchased so far have been high quality, especially given the relatively low prices to other higher-end swim/activewear retailers. Plus, returns are free for U.S. based customers.

Love all the colours and the swimsuits look cute on the website, but not worth the risk of shipping internationally. This was a reminder to always shop local or companies with free shipping & returns!
Sizing is off and they delete reviews
I ordered a 2T swimsuit for my daughter, and when it showed up, it barely even fit her now (she is only in size 6-12 months currently). I left a review to give other shoppers a heads up and the review was deleted after posting. I returned the swimsuit but still ate $8 in shipping costs. Would not recommend buying for kids here.

Ordered two shirts from them. One said “Cotton,Linen” on its website, it came to be 35% cotton and 65 polyester, cheap looking; the other one listed as “cotton blend” came to be 100% polyester.

To this day, none of my questions have been answered. When I asked questions before purchasing, I received responses (3x) within hours I hope Iget my money back-$400:
*Update: Received a full and prompt refund after contacting the CEO. She was very nice and apologetic. My questions still went unanswered which is not on her; after being ignored multiple times and not having my questions answered, I told her I was done with her company and no longer wanted to work with them. I experienced incompetence and rushed service when I was finally responded to. Just to turn around and be ignored again.
Low quality material and make
I was not impressed with the quality of manufacture on one of the two bathing suits I ordered. There were no pads at the chest area and the material was very thin. For the price, I expected a better product at 99 USD. For the other one, while it had structure and padding, the fit was all wrong and I just returned it. I have not heard back or received my refund yet but hope to see that shortly. I will update my review once that has been processed.
