My 5-year old son goes to Southfields/Wimbledon SwimWay school. Coach Chris is the best coach there! He is very skilled, patient and calm. He explains very well and talks to kids in a way that they listen. My son progressed from stage 1 to stage 3 in just 5 lessons. Chris is truly amazing! Highly recommend him!

Tiago is a fantastic swimming instructor. My daughter Jing absolutely loves her lessons with him, and thanks to his coaching, I can see her progress after every session.

His teaching techniques are excellent, and he has a wonderful ability to motivate and encourage his students while making learning fun. Swimming lessons have quickly become one of the highlights of my daughter’s week, and she always looks forward to them with excitement.

I would highly recommend him to any parent looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and inspiring swimming instructor.

Aqua aerobics at Sheen Home Guard Pool is great fun and a full 45minute workout. Jose does a brilliant job keeping us all moving and laughing; he is delightful and it amuses us all to introduce him to music from way back which we all sing along to during our final warm down session.

Great aqua aerobics classes at Swimway

I highly recommend Swimway and Jose’s weekly aqua aerobics classes. These classes are great for all levels and especially for those post-injury or post-surgery who are looking to get back into exercise or sport. I have been attending Jose’s classes for a year and they have helped me enormously after multiple spinal surgeries. Jose is an exceptionally supportive and enthusiastic teacher, consistently welcoming all ages and fitness levels. The classes are fun, high-energy and set to great music. The Kew Gardens pool is great - super clean, excellent showers and well heated.

I would highly recommend Swimway. It is expensive but having tried other lessons we always return to swimway as the results are much better and so I believe it is better value for money. My daughter’s coach Piers is fantastic. He has such a nice nature with the children - he is patient and serious about the swimming but makes it fun for the children too which is a great balance.
My only criticism of Swimway is that they ask you to rebook for the following term so early which is unnecessary and when I questioned this with them they told me they follow other swim companies which, from my experience, isn’t the case.

We have been with SwimWay since October 2025 & the progression I have seen with my daughter has been incredible. She went from barely wanting to put her face in to starting to practice a backstroke in less than a year. I can tell you we didn’t make this much progress with other swimming instructors.

Cecelia the present instructor has the most gentle but effective approach — she reads the children so well and adapts the lessons to their personalities and abilities. Both my children became comfortable with her so fast. She is encouraging and knows when to push! Anyone who swims with Cecelia will be lucky to have her guide their children in the water. I have seen my 5y/o daughter’s confidence, coordination and enjoyment grow over the terms she has swam with her. She is equally good with my 2 year old who instantly felt comfortable and safe. Cecelia pushed her appropriately to gauge her comfort and skills in the water. It wasn’t just play but it certainly felt that way to her — perfect! Would definitely recommend her.

Giving 4 stars because we had unexpected changes of instructors twice, once near the end of the term and then another time after term ended. This is a bit disruptive to a new swimmer, who has to build trust and confidence with the adult from scratch. Also it can be a bit chaotic at the facility where we are. This is only because it is a rented private home facility so there is only so much control SwimWay can have without much admin staff on site.

You may feel the price is steep but it’s the going rate in London and certainly worth the investment given the rate of progress!

Cecilia is a fantastic teacher and has greatly helped our daughter grow in confidence and ability. She is very friendly, encouraging and the right balance of soft yet disciplined. Would definitely recommend!

I would highly recommend SwimWay for children’s swimming lessons. My daughter just turned 5 and has made incredible progress in the last 6 months. She went from not enjoying swimming and being afraid to put her head under water, to asking me every day if it’s the day of her weekly lesson, and being able to swim over half the length of the pool in breaststroke. I’m amazed! Natalie made her feel comfortable and safe from day 1 and has really helped her confidence and skills grow more than I could ever have imagined. Thank you!

Chiara has been teaching my daughter to swim since she was 8 months old, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She is endlessly patient and has a real gift with young children. Every lesson is calm, encouraging and genuinely fun, and my daughter has grown so confident in the water under her guidance. Chiara clearly loves what she does and it shows in how the kids respond to her. If you’re looking for a swimming instructor for your little one, she’s the one.

Have taken both my daughters here to learn to swim over the last several years. All the instructors have been great, most recently Piers and Sonia: very patient and encouraging and really individualised lessons.

Chiara is a great teacher. She is friendly, calm, encouraging and very knowledgeable. Our son has learnt so much with her and he now loves swimming. Pool and facilities are also great.

Great and clean facility, really catered for kids swimming with good changing areas. The tutors are friendly and excellent with kids. Piers has been brilliant and has helped our daughter gain confidence and technique. After trying out a few different swimming places this doesn’t compare and so glad we found it!

Piers has been an excellent teacher for our daughter. He is great with the children and has a good sense of humour and she has progressed really well over the last year.

My son has been under Piers coaching for a year now and I only have the highest praise for his kindness, professionalism and all round excellence. Piers is one in a million and one of those teachers you’ll never forget as he gives his all and your child will no doubt see the benefits. He’s incredibly personable and knows how to coax the best out of his students. He’s simply brilliant and I couldn’t recommended him more highly.

Chiara at the Kew Gardens pool has been incredible with our daughter, Nora. She has helped her develop into a fantastic swimmer and builds confidence in young children. She is fantastic!

We had an amazing experience with Coach Piers! Our little one was a bit nervous about getting into the water at first after a long break, but Coach Piers’s patient, encouraging, and fun teaching style completely turned things around. Now, he looks forward to swim days all week. The progress he’s made in his water safety and basic strokes is incredible. We are so grateful for such a positive introduction to swimming!

Piers has been an awesome teacher to two of my kids. He is warm, friendly and very clear with instruction. As a result they were both engaged from the very start of every lesson and couldn’t wait for their swimming lessons to start. He took time to understand each child and was great when they were having a nervous day, reassuring and encouraging them. They have both improved so much under his brilliant instruction.
