Personal service is gone apparently and so am I. Used to enjoy shopping at Target when there was personalised service. Now I’m not given a choice of having staff help with checkout. I will not be investing my time and money with the Target retail organisation any longer.
I recently placed an order online on 9th Jan
I recently placed an order online on 9th January, and the courier was processed on 10th January via a low-rated courier service, "CourierPlease." Unfortunately, the experience has been highly frustrating, and I wanted to share my concerns in detail.
On 10th January, an attempt was made to deliver the parcel with very short notice. As no one was home at the time, the courier was not delivered and was sent back to their depot without any prior notification or follow-up communication. I raised a redelivery request on 12th January, but as of today (17th January), the status remains "Parcel requires further processing."
What has been most frustrating is the inability to effectively reach "CourierPlease." They only offer support through a virtual agent, with no option to speak to or email a human representative unless you have an account with them. This lack of accessible customer service is highly disappointing.
When I reached out to Target’s customer service, I was repeatedly informed that the responsibility lies with "CourierPlease" and that Target cannot take action until the parcel is returned to them. This lack of accountability has left me feeling unsupported and dissatisfied.
I kindly urge Target to review its partnership with courier services and ensure better accountability and communication in the future. Reliable delivery and customer service are key factors in maintaining trust and satisfaction.

Target.com let me return a $150 vacuum then Denied return because we tried vacuum once and didn’t like it. They would not refund and also would not return the vacuum. Bad company. I cancelled my card and will never go there again.

Big Mistake.
Target happily noted my order and took my money. Next thing I know is I get an email saying "Your order cannot be processed." No explanation. Nothing. Is it a problem with contact details? Dunno. Is it payment? Can't be. I'd successfully paid. Target just can't be bothered with the simple courtesy of telling me why.
Contact Target by online chat? No chance. I joined a queue at position 27 and got down to position 2, when the chat session terminated itself. It did that twice.
Sorry Target but that's the last time I even try to do business with you.
Great retailer? You'll have heard of the concept. Try it sometime.
Target online is a joke
Target online is a joke! Order was rejected no reason given, ordered again and money was returned 5 days later without any communication. Not very handy 3 weeks before Christmas organising presents for my grandchildren 1000 km away. On a previous occasion I erroneously ordered click and collect at a wrong store, 2 piece swimsuit, bottom was delivery only top click and collect only , the mind boggles. I rang the store and asked them could they send as it was 500 km away, was told the store can't do anything, out of their hands as it's a different company handling online orders ????
Back to good old Kmart.
Customer Service at Marion Target
A Very unpleasant experience at Marion Westfield Target’s Customer service this morning, 13/12/2024. I had lost the receipt to return an item but had a printout from my bank with all the necessary details. Amount, date, credit card number, store etc.
I was condescendingly (I am a senior) told to keep receipts as I was holding up the queue. (she mentioned this at least 3 times) I told her I usually keep my receipts but had lost this one. I had to remind her that Target’s website states that a bank receipt is sufficient for a refund. She did not like my response.
She became irritated, annoyed and I could sense that she would do anything now to prolong the refund process, in a passive aggressive way, which she did. I told her I was not in a hurry, which I wasn’t.
She asked how much the amount was, I told her $12 and showed her on the bank statement. A few minutes later she says she cannot find the $12. What was the date?
I told her the date and showed it to her on the statement. After a few minutes she says Oh I cannot find it, there is only $49. I said sorry, I cannot help you, is there perhaps somebody who could help you? She said she has been working there for 15 years and knows what she is doing. She asked what the credit card number was, again I told her and showed her.
I eventually was refunded the $12, very reluctantly, but the worst was that she shouted at me in a very sarcastic loud, aggressive way as I walked away: Goodbye! Thank you!
I looked back and all the customers in the queue were looking at her. If there is CCTV camera in the customer area, please review it. It was at approximately 10 am. We, especially seniors do not like being told off and treated with disrespect.
Poor customer service
I purchased a large Lego set from target on 19/11 with an estimated delivery date of 3-7 days.
On 3/12, I had still not received my order with the tracking as "waiting for courier". I emailed Target with no response. I emailed Target again (as I had still not received my order the courier status had still not changed) on 6/12.
Finally I received a response from Target on 9/12 advising that the item had been returned to Target - as such they were not able to complete my order. The funds are due to be credited to me in 3-5 days.
So upset with Target - had I not initiated the query, we would still be waiting for the item (which would never come). Then to just refund the item with no assistance on completing the purchase.
I will not be shopping with Target again!

Zero customer service....the ETAs given for orders are wrong....brought something based on their ETAs for a birthday present.
It's been a week and all they've done is create the shipping label.

I ordered a Lego set for my Nephew, it got delivered today, well at least some of it! there were pieces spilling out both open ends of the box as the driver left the package. someone used scoth tape to try to hold the box end flaps closed. Yes, I already printed the in store return and its going back today. terrible delivery service, how can Target this Lego set without it being in a shipping box, yes it was sent out in the Lego box!!!!!
Becoming an ex Target customer.
My Wife spent nearly an hour trying to place a click and collect order as a guest. She entered all the required information many times and on two different computers but clicking on the "continue" to pay area nothing happened on each attempt.
Called support for assistance and was simply told Google browser was probably the problem and to install another browser, a task beyond her, blind in one eye and partially sighted in the other. In the light of the lack of support it was requested that the call be escalated to a supervisory area and having given her details was advised that she would receive a callback from that supervisory area though no such callback was ever received.
The problem was resolved quite simply becoming an ex customer of Target and placing her order with another nearby retailer. A similar retailer but one that seems to provide good customer care and support.

used to be good, i don't even know what they are any more - you want to buy a doll for a child online cos the stores close to you do not have it, but you can't order it online because they tell you it's a random lottery cos all the dolls in that range have the same code number/barcode, lol, it's been like this for the past 3 years, what dunderheads

My first order online was cancelled due to Target giving incorrect address and negativity from the Help Centre.
I re-ordered only to be given fabricated information from their chosen Courier.
I would never order online from Target whilst it uses its present Courier.
My experience I trust will NEVER be repeated.

Please get rid of the anko range! I used to love shopping at target for their affordable quality products. I was so disheartened to see the anko Christmas range this year.. I wish I brought more last year 😭

So disappointing to walk into target now and feel like you’re shopping at Kmart. If I wanted Kmart products I would go to Kmart. It’s really dropped it’s standard. It used to be the place you would go if you wanted something nicer then Kmart

I really like shopping at Target online.. I can always find what I'm looking for as they offer a good range of product. Most of thei fashion are affordable and the quality of the materials that they sell are good.. They also have a click and collect service too, which I prefer to over the counter sales.. .

I'm impressed. TARGET is definitely on the upswing. They have very good customer service, they have a nice selection of groceries, and clothes and misc items, and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Very pleasant shopping experience.Nice people. I'm referring to the Greece, NY store.
