Scammed by Evangeline Dyer-Canning
We were scammed by Evangeline Dyer-Canning of The Hen and Stag Planner. We paid deposits in mid 2025, full payment made in early 2026 for a 3 night Hen Party. Nothing was booked when either the deposits were paid or when the full payment was made.
We have full proof of the timeline and extreme scam Evie was in the middle of pulling off on our group. Evie accused our group of having 'trust issues' with her and tried to play the victim card in a particular email.
Sometime between November 2025 and then end of January 2026 Evie deleted all social media belonging to The Hen and Stag Planner and recently her own Facebook profile has been deactivated. The Hen and Stag Planner website appears to have been taken down too. Websites and social media can be removed but the digital trail and evidence still exists.
Evie is operating under 4 different email addresses and 3 different phone numbers that we could locate. Including using a personal email to circumnavigate booking flights for groups as airlines require ATOL protection confirmation for group flights booked via travel agents.
Evie had assured us in writing that she was ATOL and ABTA protected - she is not, under any variant or her own full name or company name. It is illegal to make this claim in the UK.
Only when pressed for confirmations for flights, accommodation and transfers did it come out that Evie had no made any bookings relating to this hen, even though she supplied in writing a booking confirmation on headed paper. Our flights were only booked the week we started asking for confirmations. Flights booked were not what was agreed as part of our booking, they were with a different airline, different times and had no luggage allowance. Evie then proceeded to book transfers to a villa that she had never even booked or enquired about.
Evie reached out to the Villa management company to enquire about availability/to book for our dates only 6 weeks before we were due to stay. The timing of her reaching out to the Villa management company coincided with the email where we requested confirmations along the contact information for the Villa to arrange an online shopping order delivery.
We reached out to the Villa management company independently, who confirmed all of this to us. We had catering, activities, and full supplies bought for a Villa hen.
Evie seems to have forgotten that we live in a digital era, everything booked is confirmed by email almost instantly and date stamped and timed. We became very suspicious when confirmations could not be forwarded on quickly. Also, once you are named as a travelling guest on a booking you can actively seek information from the final supplier, be it an airline, villa, accommodation or activity supplier.
We only got refunds in dribs and drabs and the final refund came weeks after Evie stated she had made a full refund to everyone.
Evie is using Stripe payment links to collect money - very easy to set up and use to collect significant amounts of cash from people.
We were ghosted by Evie once we presented her with all the proof we have and she not once offered an apology, explanation or showed any compassion, remorse or embarrassment for her actions. We somehow managed to pull the hen back on track but with hours of stress, upset and panic on our side!
To reiterate - we have evidence, proof and back up via emails, screenshot's and independent investigation as to the events stated above.
