Thanks so much for your feedback! We advertise our discus as ~2” because they typically range between about 1.5”–2” depending on the individual fish. We’re sorry the sizing wasn’t quite what you expected, but we’re glad at least one arrived right at the 2” mark. We do our best to provide healthy, well-started juveniles at a great value, and we truly appreciate you giving us a try!

The acclimation instructions included with your order are intended for introducing fish into both aquariums and ponds, since the goal is the same — helping the fish slowly adjust to temperature and water conditions before release. We’re happy to hear your method worked well and that everyone has been thriving for over a month now!
