Avoid! Ordered £100 worth of steak that arrived during a heatwave in a terrible condition, not cooled or packaged properly. Leaking everywhere, hot and stinking, inedible and probably a health hazard. E-mailed and called customer service and received no responses at all.

No one answers the phone so don’t waste your time. I sent emails but they were ignored. I used the WhatsApp to finally get hold of someone.

I asked where my parcel was as I had not heard from DPD. Staff member told me to download DPD app and find out where parcel is.

I was called hostile because I didn’t want to download a 3rd person company’s app. I’m not a customer of DPD. I haven’t paid them anything.

The products from steak shop are OK. Nothing special, lots of butchers about.

I won’t use again due to lazy staff resorting to name calling instead of doing their job and answering customers questions.

Not recommended. This was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I ordered an MBS 5+ ribeye based on how it was presented on the website. The product photo shows heavy marbling and the listing says “highly marbled”. The steak delivered did not match that representation, and one piece in particular was clearly far leaner than what was shown.

The biggest problem was the attitude. I complained with photos and was met with arrogance and insistence that they were right, as if the customer couldn’t read. There was no real acknowledgement that the listing could be misleading or that the product delivered didn’t reflect the image being used to sell it.

In my view, the way this is marketed is misleading, and the customer service makes it worse. We will not order again and we do not recommend this company to anyone.

It does indeed seem that they have great product as they can import for their restaurant. I understand that they are butchering in house and are cutting down primal cuts to smaller pieces. However, on 2 occasions i bought Argentinian Sirloin and Wagyu AUS M4/5 the product comes in vacuum pack without the original stickers.

I understand that is because they cut down a bigger pc. But for me as a consumer I would like them to find a way to replicate the original label. So I am sure it is the right product.

How do i know that indeed i am buying that specific product without the original label to know, where it comes from? What breed it is? Which Country and cut etc etc. I basically trust their own label and for such expensive items...this is not a good look.

I buy products from this shop regularly and they are excellent. Their chateaubriand is the best, by far, and I order this whenever I have a special celebration .

Very poor quality bone in fillet. I found these people online, never ordered from them before, was my first order, ordered 3 steaks. Tried the first one and it was the most ridiculous worst steak I ever had, literally 2 mouthfuls of meat edible for a £19 in bone fillet, full of fat. I hope the other 2 steaks I got are better, but not sure I will be in a hurry to reorder based on experience so far.

Without doubt the best online shop I have ever dealt with. The steaks they sell are magnificent, juicy, fresh, and so tasty. The service is second to none. The packaging and delivery is outstanding. I will never again look elsewhere when I need good quality beef, it even beats Waitrose which I thought was the best.
On one occasion I made a mistake in my order, the owner Ian was straight on it and sorted it out immediately even though it was my fault. Absolutely outstanding, what a great company.
