I recently had a very nice pair of curtains cleaned @Timpson in Eastbourne .When I got my curtain back the lining was covered in dog hair ! Honestly it looked like someone had dragged it on the floor of a kennel. The local shop was happy to take them back for re-clean. They were not able to deal with the complaint locally and asked the customer service personnel Joanna to contact us . We collected our curtain back and it was still covered with dog hair although admittedly not as heavily as the first time round .
When we contacted the local Timpson for comments and refund , we were directed to speak with Joanna in Customer Services based in Manchester , bearing in mind we waited the whole of June for a call back , again Joanna wasn’t available for another week !
Finally spoke with Joanna yesterday and followed up with emails and photos of how I cleaned the curtains with a lint roller ,the dry cleaning ticket showing the cost , and evidence of at least 9 parts of my curtain where the lining had come away and the bottom of the curtain got all bunched up and wasn’t laying flat .? Then to be asked for more receipts of all the costs . The story goes on …. But finally have been assured I’ll get a refund for the £80 I paid for the cleaning . And was offered vouchers as compensation for future use at Timpson !! Will I ever take anything delicate or expensive there?? My curtain would have been cleaner if I had just brushed off the dust and steam cleaned it myself .

The guys who work at Timpsons next to Tesco on Cardiff Road, Newport, are a credit to the Company.

I had to write a review following some great customer service by Timsons. I had a slight issue in one of the shops whereby my lifetime guarantee (for a watch battery) was changed to a 12 month, however, the way head office dealt with it was impressive. They simply reissued me a new lifetime guarantee. In addition, once, around 3 years ago, I paid for some keys that subsequently didn't work, head office simply refunded the amount on the receipt. Generally, my experience with Timpsons is very good, whatever I go in for, and on the rare occassion (twice) things haven't been great, head office simply rectify it instantly, it's very impressive. Today, I went into Timpsons with my new lifetime guarantee and the guy fitted a new battery, and gave further advice on my watch - it's generally impressive. I like that fact this is a family run business and I am happy to continue using them.

North Walsham branch. Three visits to get a car key cut as a spare. Still no success. No contact as promised from manager. Rubbish service.

At last, after 4 visits I got the new spare key cut. But today I tried to get another car key cut for another vehicle, as organised with the manager last week, but with no success as the machine that interrogates the vehicle is broken. Another wasted journey.

I had an absolutely outstanding experience today in Twickenham branch of Timpson with the charming chap Harry. He could not have been more courteous knowledgeable and helpful. I was impressed enough to write this review. He is ex excellent representative of Timpson. He should be promoted I believe. Thank you Sir John for employing such a wonderful chap

In Alton have used before and today having been unable to connect base of a Skagen ladies watch myself Mel did it for me at no charge which emphasises the attitude of community and helpfulness.

Never let them send your shoes away for repair. Mine went on May 2nd. I still don’t have them back. They’re saying the middle of August.

Disgusted. Bought a new key fob as the remote lock buttons had worn down. Replaced all electronics then took key to Timpsons to be recut. They refused. Would only do it if they supplied the fob (absolutely identical to the one I bought for £4.50) at a cost of £50+. What a rip off!!!!

Went to their Sidcup B&Q kiosk, spent an age scanning keys, then when it got to the payment screen, the card reader failed. B&Q staff can't help and the so-called helpline sent me round in circles, so, after 20+ minutes, I gave up! What a waste of time, do not use these.

Next Day I Drive 30 miles in To Aberdeen and Was Told Their Was NO ONE to Cut My Car Keys As He Wasn't in Today.Just to Piss Me Off.

So Annother Waste of My Time Driving 30 miles Home. 60 miles in total Not to Mention the Fuel
Try Putting Your Staff on a Key Cutting Course or Have the Decency to Put on Your Website The Days the Compent Key Cutting Member of Staff is ON or OFF.

Jamie at kidlington shop was very helpful when handing dry cleaning in. Explained all very well about how they would try with the stains but wouldn’t do it to much incase of damaging item. Was very helpful and polite

Excellent service at Timpsons at Tesco in Carlisle. The young lady who dealt with us (Kira) was incredibly helpful and very accommodating. She solved our problem and suggested an option for a second issue that we had.

Usually have an amazing regular employee who goes above and beyond - however today I got to the store 30 minutes before it was due to close hoping to put in a warranty repair for a necklace, and this new employee said he didn’t have time because it would take him 20 minutes to submit. I’ve done this process before and at most it took 10. What’s the point of advertising you’re open to a certain time if you’re not going to serve or help customers? He then closed the store completely 5 minutes early. Just say you close earlier if you’re not going to allow customers to use your services.

Purchased a dog identification tag here. Sturdy robust tag with a substantial loop for the split ring, it should have lasted for years but the engraving was of poor quality. No depth, lettering very shallow and 6months later is barely legible and needed replacing.
It was the most expensive tag I’ve ever bought, my usual “go to” local place’s machine was out of order.
It was approx £15.
On a positive, their key cutting, altho expensive is excellent.

My watch was in need of a new strap as it is 56 years old. I was in sainsburys at watchmoor park near sandhurst, who has a simpsons shop inside. I was greeted by Jackie who showed me a selection of straps to fit my watch and duly set about to loosen the pillars holding the straps in place that had set rock solid with the passing of time. After a short spell and friendly converse my watch had a lovely leather strap and even the omega clasp was transfered over, a great job done at a good price thanks Jackie 😄

I recently visited my local Timpson shop in Adel Leeds to have a battery fitted and while I was there I had my watch cleaned but during that process the pin holding the bracelet part of the watch fell out. The extremely helpful assistant called Peter kindly fixed a new pin. Unfortunately this one also fell out so I took it back. Peter was still there and was very apologetic and fixed the bracelet again this time telling me he had made sure it wouldn't happen again.
Just like to say I received an excellent service from Peter, he couldn't have been more helpful. A credit to Timpsons. Thank you.

Very disappointing company - I purchased a ‘battery for life’ for my watch, which means I paid extra so whenever my battery stops they will replace free of charge. I was given a tiny bit of paper 2 years ago to prove this! As was a long time ago I lost the bit of paper and my watch stopped. I found my proof of purchase from my bank statement but Timpson won’t accept this as proof and will only allow the receipt as proof! If I had been told this in the shop it would have been helpful. Very disappointing and a waste of my money to Timpson.
I did contact Customer Services and they offered 50% off future batteries, but I did buy the battery for life so not happy.
