Great service for my recall, friendly chat about the new Micra, a cup of tea and my job was done. Very efficient! They even offered me a service. Good job on reception George! Very professional.

I am extremely disappointed with this dealership and the 2024 Nissan Juke Hybrid I purchased.
Since purchase, the vehicle has suffered repeated serious faults:
January 2025: Gear Box Fault - Replacement gearbox installed - value £18k
September 2025: Further gearbox fault occurred - Gears slipping and grinding.
January 2026: Yet another gearbox fault, followed immediately by a HEV system failure.
The dealership is now proposing to replace the gearbox for a second time (3rd gearbox in total), despite the ongoing issues. I have returned the car multiple times, but the problems persist, causing repeated inconvenience, safety concerns, and significant frustration.

Based on my experience and the fact that many other 24-plate Nissan Juke Hybrid owners report similar faults, I cannot recommend this dealership or this vehicle!

The repeated failures and poor resolution process are completely unacceptable.

Repeated serious faults, and no accountability and dishonesty.

Since buying my 2024 Nissan Juke Hybrid from Toomey Nissan Southend, it’s had repeated major issues (gearbox faults on multiple occasions and then an HEV system failure, resulting in multiple full gearbox replacements). This has meant constant returns to the dealership, ongoing worry about reliability and safety and constantly being fobbed off and at times they say they checked over the car but lied, and the car hadn't even moved from where I dropped it off.

What’s worse is the customer service: instead of accountability, you get tone that implies you’re exaggerating, they choose to profit by doing constant repairs and charging Nissan UK but when you worry about this being a problem once the warranty has expired, you don't want to be left with a broken car which seems to need a full gear box replacement every 6 months.. but according to Toomeys, thats normal right?

Courtesy cars are conditional, like “do as we say or we’ll take it away”, not genuine support. Even basics like handing over a courtesy car with minimal fuel, conveniently just enough to get you to the TOOMEYS petrol station so they can once again profiter from the customer. This just adds insult to injury.

Let alone did you want the courtesy car covered in mini cheddars? Or Mud, or stinks for smoke from people smoking in them... (Oh but we did clean it honest... of course you did, just like you checked over my car without moving it from where I parked it...)

If you want help when something goes wrong, I cannot recommend this place, go somewhere else, anywhere else as they guys are awful.

I'm sure they'll reply with some cleverly written dismissive tone, rather than solving the real issue...

Bought car 18 months ago 17,500 apr from toomey basildon.
Got full service last year at toomey only done about 8,000 miles so far(total on clock 14800 approx).With service comes rac membership.Broke down 2/2/26,10.30pm told stay with car,did until 12pm next day.Poor communication awful service.Now here is my issue,not the fact car needed new alternator,battery,pully and belt,but the rac recovery only allows for recovery to a toomey garage(had to drive past my house) where you are then charged £675 and you only get 12 months warranty.Obviously the idea is to get you back to where you just want it fixed rather than say no and have to arrange another pick up etc,also when picking up the car it was left dirty on drivers carpet and inside door,white chalk or stone.George the Rep at southend toomey not really interested in hearing my frustration,no eye contact."we re here for you" etc at sale all fell by wayside.....wouldnt buy a car or have it serviced ever again from them.........

Charlie was helpful with my initial inquiry and he ensured the maintenance job was sorted efficiently while I waited.

Highly recommend Jack Lipton our Toomey Nissan salesman..he was informed with good product knowledge, helpful, humorous and made us feel immensely comfortable.

Smooth service and very helpful staff, especially Charlie. It was an added bonus that the car came back cleaned inside and out, so thank you fir that.
