I spoke to a few people on the phone trying to resolve a claim issue and I spoke to a lady called Laura who was absolutely fantastic and was very compassionate when I got upset over the phone as my dog has really bad arthritis and this might probably or will be probably his last autumn and Christmas with us so putting a claim through for everything as well as medication like Swimming and supplements she was fantastic and did an extra claim for me to make sure that I got paid for everything that Loui needs nothing was too much trouble. She was very polite like I said caring compassionate and I would definitely recommend waggle as everyone that has spoke to who works there and on the Team team has been fantastic.

Too many hidden clauses
Too many hidden clauses. Having had to make a claim as one policy year renewed into a new on. I made 3 ongoing claims that spanned the two policy years, only one was paid out despite being for the same condition. Also taken upto 3 weeks to process claims. Overall a disappointing performance. Impossible to speak to anyone as all claims processed online, chat bot uses AI agents. Do I rate Waggle, definitely not.

Claims are assessed in line with the terms and conditions of the policy in place at the time of treatment, including how cover applies when a policy renews. We appreciate that this can be frustrating when claims relate to the same ongoing condition.
Our claims are processed online to allow customers to submit the required information and track their claims, with assessments carried out by our claims team. Processing times can vary depending on the information required and the complexity of the claim.

I regret ever signing up with them.
Find another pet insurer. They will twist and squirm in every direction to avoid paying a claim. Two claims turned down in a row, my dog injured her foot, they wouldn't pay out as my dog had injured her paw before (different paw), so that's a pre-existing condition apparently. I thought it was great they had dental care covered (chipped tooth, not decay), but only under very, very specific circumstances. Avoid like plague.

Claims are assessed against the policy terms and your pet’s veterinary history. Where a claim relates to an injury or condition affecting a different limb or area, the available veterinary evidence is considered when determining whether the current issue is connected to previous signs or symptoms.
Dental cover is also subject to the specific terms and conditions of the policy, including the circumstances in which treatment is covered.
If you disagree with either claim decision, you can dispute the outcome through your Waggel account and provide any additional information you feel should be considered, including a further statement from your vet where appropriate.

Good to deal with, but slow
Excellent insurance company. I preauthorised the claim but Waggle were slow to reimburse us. The company did apologise for the delay blaming high amount of claims.

Just declined for a Cruciate Ligement…
Just declined for a Cruciate Ligement operation as our Dog had one on his other leg 4 years ago and they consider that an ongoing condition. Also got claim access wrong for his ear problem which i had to point out.

Where a cruciate condition has previously affected one leg, the policy terms may consider a subsequent cruciate issue affecting the other leg to be related, depending on the veterinary evidence and the specific circumstances.
If you disagree with the claim decision, you can dispute the outcome through your Waggel account. You can also provide a further veterinary statement if your vet believes the current condition is unrelated to the previous cruciate injury.
