In 2025 my wife and i agreed to Wicks to fit our brand new kitchen and a fitted bathroom into our new Bungalow well was this a wrong thing to do as we have had nothing but issues and would never recommend them. the bathroom had a extractor fitted which leaked water back but with the kitchen issues i am having i have not reported it i will hire a plumber i trust to sort it out.
started in 2025 when the fitter arrived and told use he cherry picked my install due to location, work began also taking a bit of work while working on my kitchen taking £1500 in a back hander payment i did ask for a recpeit but it never came. Once the kitchen was installed and the fitter pressured my wife to complete the sign of sheet so he could get paid the issues began. Washing machine wash back filling with dirty sink water making it smell like rotten eggs, fitters mate came back drilled another big hole in the kitchen cupboard and bent the washer pipe up the back of the cupboard, maybe if a angled connecter to the waste pipe this may not have happened, next issue my cupboard door dropped so did not fit or close correct after calling customer services i was informed i would need to adjust it myself and a you tube video was sent me on how to do it, what was my 10year warranty for a joke. issue number 3 water dripping from extractor over the electric hob, with this one i have been trying for over 12 months to have this resolved but still not joy. Wickes sent a engineer from Bosch to take a look as they still would take no Responsability the Bosch engineer said it was the worst fit he had seen and the extractor was fitted to high wickes ignored what the engineer had said the issue was. Customer services say they are customer focused but the are not, every excuse has been used, i have had to go to Trading standards, and citizens advise for help. I informed wickes and they have Ignored that aswell. i have been playing email ping pong for over 1 year and still waiting, i have since been given a option to have a filter kit fitted or move extractor, or £100 so i can get my own fitter to see if it van be resolved. £100 what fitter will do a job for that and this was the option given, know been advised the kit is a recycling kit to see if the dripping water stops but told this don`t use the external extraction which is what i require, i have been treated very poorly not as a valued customer, and i certainly don`t feel as proud as a peacock If you are thinking of having wickes do you kitchen i would thing again i will not use them again for any other work as they will not take ownership of the kitchen issues caused and dont look after there customers.

A huge negative is the misleading information about delivery dates. It says 5-8 days. With kitchens, you need to plan precisely when they arrive. We ordered in what should have been good time. Two days later we get an email to say delivery will be in 28 days.
We must say that Kam, a brilliant member of staff at Derby, very patiently tried to sort this for us. She waited in the phone queue for us, searched the store - tried everything to make this right for us. She did manage to speed up delivery but it still won’t arrive in time. She really did try though.

Worst customers service I’ve had in a very long time no hello and worst not even a thank you after I tapped my card .. miserable woman suggests she finds a job she enjoys where it doesn’t involve speaking to customers on any level ..
back to B&Q in future.

Well what a refreshing change to visit a store with a view to ordering a new bathroom,and to get welcomed and listened to by a friendly,interested and competent design consultant at Wickes Derby store.Emily was fantastic from our first introduction and stayed as proffesional all the way along the process,replying to emails with our maybe daft questions and concerns quickly. This was very much appreciated. The installer who was assigned to the job along with his team,did a fantastic job too.
Also not missing out the deliveries of the bathroom,there were several deliveries but was kept informed of dates they would drop off and times and these were again accurate. I would definately recommend Wickes 100% and would like to again say thank you to Emily and the rest of the Wickes team involved.

I recently purchased some items from Wickes in Derby (London Road branch) and was genuinely impressed by the level of customer service.

The staff were extremely polite, helpful, and attentive. They took the time to walk me around the store and show me exactly where each item was, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.

I must say, this level of service is rare—especially compared to what we often experience in London. A special mention goes to Marlon, who was outstanding. His professionalism and willingness to help really stood out.

This is how customer service used to be, and it’s refreshing to see it still exists. If I had to rate Marlon out of 10, I would give him 11.

We have just had a kitchen fitted from Wickes Derby and from everything from Steve from the Design team who is such a lovely helpful guy and the workers who fitted the kitchen Steve and Richard, the excellent service, professionalism, organisation, friendliness of all involved was second to none. We were consulted all the way and the design and installation service that Wickes offer is brilliant. Thankyou so much to all involved in my mum having her new kitchen fitted, she is over the moon with it!

Did a click & collect for three interior doors an assistant from the shop floor was asked to help me with loading up my car. However they didn’t fit so I was advised of the delivery service, which I was happy to do. This was quite time consuming however the staff made me feel relaxed which was very much appreciated.

The bathroom was completed to the highest standard and in the best time possible.
Hassan of the Wickes design team and Mark of Aqua bathrooms were both very helpful in achieving the result.

Absolutely fantastic service and the level of workmanship is truly off the scale.

Reece Moore handled the first visit in store then looked after us when it came to measuring the kitchen , doing the design, ordering all of the things needed, also doing lots of follow-up visits and also meetings at the shop to make sure we were happy with everything and double-checked throughout the whole process, a great touch was Reece checked in on progress during the fit. He was very honest and guided us throughout and recommended the best way to deliver quality and inline with budget.

Sean from Parker Kitchen & Joinery specialists fitted our kitchen and so so much more. Sean was booked and arranged through Wickes and we seriously couldn’t have asked for anyone better. We left the house for a couple of weeks and Sean managed everything and when we came back the level of finish was impeccable, the issues that had arisen he just dealt with and we had no concerns at all. The house was left so tidy as well. The level of skill is clear to see - everything is perfect not one imperfection or dodgy join or miss alignment.

Used Wickes Derby for a bathroom refurbish March 26. They used A & A Joinery and Building as the fitting team. Great set of professional guys with lots of experience, and a can-do attitude. Sixty year old house came with it's challenges which all got sorted, bath out walk-in shower in, new sink and vanity unit, new toilet, panelled walls. Very pleased with the result.

What can I say I went into store today and struggled to find what i was looking for. A member of staff called Marlon came to the rescue, helpful, polite and went above and beyond to help me find the right items. Marlon what a star and thank you for your help today very happy customer.

The chap turned up, instantly called me ‘Phil’ instead of ‘Philip’, referred to my wife as ‘darling’ and then proceeded to tell me that the quoting team had estimated an installation that in no way bore any resemblance to the one I wanted. They wouldn't know. Nobody had asked.

I was promised a follow up aligned to what I needed and I’ve heard absolutely nothing since. I’ve chased via the email I was given.

Great experience buying the kitchen from Wickes in Derby. Emily was really helpful from design appointment through to the delivery, and since the delivery. She had a complete understanding of my budget and there was no extra pressure to buy anything other than cabinets and worktops. Super fast communication via email rather than phone calls. Would highly recommend, made the whole process much more enjoyable. Thank you :)
