I bought four tyres online and booked them to be fitted at Wilko Automotive Car Care.
The tyres were fitted last Wednesday at their garage in Lundwood, Barnsley. A few days later, while driving on the motorway, the rear wheel on the driver’s side almost came off. When I stopped and checked, the wheel nuts were extremely loose, almost as if they had only been finger-tightened. I checked the other wheels and they were loose as well.
This is extremely dangerous and unacceptable. Poor workmanship like this could easily have caused a serious accident.
When I returned to complain, the manager only showed me a paper where the mechanic had written the torque value used. Writing numbers on paper proves nothing – what matters is whether the job was actually done properly.
Very disappointing and potentially dangerous experience. I would strongly advise people to think carefully before trusting this garage with tyre fitting.

I was introduced to this garage by the RAC and I they fitted me a new clutch on my Volvo xc40. The price was fair and the communication was great. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
about a year ago i had really good service at the york depot , but last week i booked in for front tracking [potholes] when arrived at 3pm the first thing i noticed was the chairs in the retail shop had all been removed . This meant sitting in the car until it was taken inside and then presumably wandering around the shop, in the hope you would buy something.This never happened however , they were all smoking and drinking tea when we arrived and 25 mins later when i asked for my keys back , they were still drinking tea. I know this sort of thing happens in our broken country all the time , but it is still rubbish

Had car booked in since Wednesday for Saturday at 11am , arrived on time to be told there was nobody available to look at my car until 15:30 and to come back . There was no way I was trekking back there at 15:30 when you book your car in you expect to be seen. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Hence I will be taking my car elsewhere and giving someone else my custom . You lost Circa £500 sale today motorsave.
In response to my reply , the guy took my name and registration number when we called on Wednesday and told us it was all booked in for Saturday at 11am. So as far as I was concerned, one of your staff told us it was booked in , I had no reason to not believe them. They have obviously failed to apply the booking to your system resulting in inconveniencing me and the person I had to get to follow me there to bring me home and thus looking you trade.

Phoned up to see if they fixed puncture repairs.. as I had a screw in my tyre .. YES thankfully they do.
Asked if there was any chance they could fit me in this morning, said if I was happy to leave it for a few hours they could sort it for me.
Brilliant service, wasn’t there too long and all sorted. Really appreciated it.
Lovely friendly staff, recommend and will use them in future

Car broke down needed a new battery but not from Lincoln area so unsure of where to go on a Sunday morning. Breakdown guy recommended you guys and gave us address. Turned up and place was busy but staff couldn't have been more helpful. Fitted new one and on our way in less than an hour. Thanks guys for getting back on the road

The Huddersfield branch are absolutely amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them and they genuinely want to do an amazing quality job for their customers ! They are just like an old fashioned local garage where customers come first ! We had a Dacia which needed service and MOT and were under serious time pressure, despite the initial MOT failure they pulled all the stops out and got us sorted out with the minimum of fuss and delay ! The price was a serious surprise too - they are very fair and in the past have been reluctant to charge for minor quick jobs ! I am sure, like us, they get return customers and loyalty due to their excellent customer focussed approach ! Mike D

INCOMPETENT -volkswagen up basic model. asked for a quote as drive belt had split. was give a price and told to bring car in a few days later. i took the day off work as it was booked for the middle of the day amd i was too remote to do anything else. 40 minutes into my appointment i got a call from an abrupt staff member- jordan- to say "we cant do it as we dont have the tools . we can cut it off but we cant replace it. " how can you not know that you dont have the tools for a job when you have had days in advance sourced the part and been given the make and model of the car.

Brenden from the Selby Branch was, literally outstanding. He helped me with snow chains for my son, who only gave me 2 days notice! Brenden rang around, tracked a pair of chains for me in Knottingley and his co-worker met half way to collect the chains for me to collect the next day at the Selby branch.
This is what I call customer service, fantastic, above and beyond, both of you.

I had a problem with a wobbly steering wheel on my Van so I took it to Motorsave Hunslet Leeds. The guy balanced both front wheels and sorted the problem for me. Very satisfied indeed. What a good service again. I will return when I need any other repairs.

My car had failed the mot at a main dealer and they coludn't get the work done in time for me going on Holiday. I rang this branch of Motosave and talked to Tony. Fixed the issue (new suspension arms) and a few other bits and pieces and sorted the mot. Spot on service
Went in for a puncture repair today as a women for them to try and fob me off saying I had bald tyres despite a month old MOT with absolutely 0 mention of tyres and only doing 1k miles since. Told them I knew I didn’t need new and just the repair. Only to get back in my car afterwards to which they hadn’t even put any air in my tyre and have scratched my alloy near the nuts. Went back to speak to them to be spoke to like absolute shit and in one minute they said they didn’t need to take the wheel off in the next to say they did take the wheel off. My alloy is now scratched and bit of a mess with them making out I was stupid despite only checking for the puncture yesterday. Also then proceeded to walk off and ignore me. Absolute joke! What sort of service are they offering!!
